1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I still working on it! Im not a great photographer, so it will probably take me some time.

But, in the meantime, I love looking at dolls in the Database! Actually, I wish people would not remove the photos of their dolls when they sell them. As the Database is used as a reference library, any and all pictures of a doll are a great resource for DOA members. People who have re-homed a doll could just say so, and leave the picture up. I have seen this done in the Database, and it's much appreciated.

    2. I haven't put any of my dolls in a database yet. I'm not that great with taking pictures, and my dolls don't have a fully developed character. Sure, they have a personality, but no backstory. I like sewing for my dolls more than playing with them, or making a character for them (so bonding's a whole different issue with me).
I agree with Rabbit-moon, sometimes I want to see owner pictures of a doll that are taken down. I try not to move my pictures.

    3. I just did today, after seeing this thread. Sort of a chore, but I thought of all the times I came to look at dolls I was considering getting and being helped by seeing everyone else's dolls. I don't think you're a bad person for not contributing but using excessively... it's never seemed a bit deal to me. It's just thoughtful to add to the database if you can.

    4. I have no dollies yet, but I will as soon as I have my girl and fanangle my way into getting someones camera to borrow.

I do enjoy looking at the databases a lot, not only are they fun to look at but it's really great to see whata mold is capable off. I might be turned off by a mold only to browse the database and see that it was really the face-up/wig/eyes that bothered me (sometimes I have trouble seperating them although I do try). The databases are fun and useful and I'm greatful for every dolly owner that posts there. ^^

I'm off to go look at my soon to be girls 'syblings' on the databases.

    5. Oh good grief!
      Thanks for reminding me!
I had my 2 CP's in but not the other 3.
Even tho I'm a lousy photographer, at least I got a couple of good shots in.

    6. Yes, I do. Once I have a decent picture of them that is. :P Its nice to have them all listed and it helps others who want to see the potential and versatility of the doll, or who want to see what they really look like in real life as company pictures tend to differ from owner pics, sometimes quite a lot. ^^;

    7. I definately do :) The database was the reason I bought Cain in the first place (I saw Raincry's gorgeous Cain) and I couldn't be happier with him.

    8. I started... but I'm so ridiculously not-there that it's absurd.

I have several good reasons (not really excuses) why I haven't done it -- I'm just not a very good photographer unless I get lucky, and I really don't have characters for my dolls except for those that are character dolls, so to speak. So it would be darned boring.

    9. Databases are really helpful, so I plan on putting mine in one when he's finished.

    10. I agree with Anadine. Once I get some ok photos and some clothes, I'll post them in databases.

    11. I've only been putting mine in as they're "finished," so only two of the four have really made it in there so far...

    12. All of mine are in there. :)

    13. I put my boy in there. He isn't anywhere near finished, but I just said so and will be updating him as I get him completed.

    14. I think I will probably put mine in one when I get him, since he's a new model that not many people have, but many people seem curious about.

    15. I do, just because I hope it might help someone who's looking for the perfect doll. By seeing the same mold with different faceups, clothes, and wigs, it can really help someone decide on the perfect doll.

Plus, I also like to look at all the same molds in different outfits too, lol. XD

    16. Darn it I just voted wrong as I didn't read this correctly. Yes, I have put a few of my dolls in the databases here on DoA but I voted that I don't put my dolls in databases. I thought the question dealt with if I kept my own database of my dolls.

So someone could change my vote as it won't let me.

    17. I always plan to. I like to perfect them though, before I put them in the databases.

    18. I do, i use databases as a first stop when i am looking to chose a mold. after i find a picture i like or a doll on a website i find out what it is and head direct for the databases, if what i find there dosent satisfy me then i start searching/requesting and the like, so therefore as soon as i have a character asembled (wig/eyes/faceup/body and prefrably clothes) into the database they go so that i may possibly return the favor.

    19. I have for one of them, though the other one is nowhere near completed enough to put in a database, I think. As far as I know, though, there actually isn't a database for her mold (and there's only one other on the board that I know of), so I feel like I should create one, but I can't because I have nothing to put in it, and so on.... XD Silliness. Eventually, though. :sweat

    20. I plan on putting Zoe in the database when I finish her. I found poking through the database helpful, to the point where it helped me decide if I was truly interested in a particular sculpt or if it was just a fleeting fancy. It's interesting to see what people do with their dolls, and I think it helps bring people who own the same head together.
