It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do You ReDress Often...or Leave Them Alone?

Nov 26, 2009

1. I don't change thier clothing as much as I would love to. I have a part time job and just entered University now and my time is sooo limited. I only get to dress them up and take photos with them about once every 2 weeks or 3 weeks>.<
I'm fortunate enough that my school has free wifi so that I can be on DoA during the gaps of my courses^.^

2. I used to want to redress him but now he's been in the same pants since i got him. For months. Once he gets more proper clothes ie not made by me, I'd change him more.

3. I plan to go crazy with outfits and ideas for my doll when she comes XD It's one of the main reasons I got her - to play around with clothes and sew and take fashion pics. :)

4. So far, only one of mine has enough clothing to warrent regular clothing changes- though she usually will be left in whatever one I put her in until I feel the need to change it, and that need comes very rarely.

My others are typically left alone. One does want to change, one is simply clothed so she is decent and the last is well, a pokemon and doesn't need clothing. Lol

5. Berry and Onyx barely change their outfits...
Pyrrie...he has to change every month or two

6. I don't leave my dolls clothes on for too long as I don't want it to stain their resin, so usually when they're in their box, they're in their white underwear and white t-shirt. When I take them out, it depends on how I plan to photograph them. If they have new clothes, I'll put them on for them. As for the wigs, it changes every now and then -- at least until I find the perfect one for them. Their eyes are set though. I don't like messing with eye putty so once I decide on a color -- I pretty much keep them on for each doll and never change it. Yes, I am lazy like that. xD

7. I don't actually have the proper wig or eyes for either of my dolls, but once I do they wont change. However their clothes change on occasion, like when I'm doing different photo-shoots or when I make something new.

Ester's been in the same dress for almost two months because I just haven't had the drive to make her anything new. However Ukeru keeps getting his clothes changed.

8. I have the idea of not putting my doll clothes for a very long time... staining always being the main problem here :o I leave them inside the box with white shirt and underwear, pants in my possession always have dark color... :sweat I change them when I put them outside for photograph or taking a walk.

9. I change my 3 msd's clothes about once a month. They all have characters, so I just make sure that the new outfit they end up in is in sync with their personalities and fashion styles. The only exception that I have to this rule is my puki. He can stay in one outfit for months and I don't care. He's my ray of sunshine that sits at my desk next to my desktop.

When it comes to staining, I've learned the hard way about leaving them in dark leggings for too long; so now I wash all the clothes I buy before they wear them, often several times, just to make sure they won't get hurt if I leave them in an outfit for a long time, because they look so adorable in them.

10. Right now Haziku is in her body suit but once is gets more clothes l will change them when she want to be in something different.

11. I love to change my boys' clothes. Some of them get done more frequently than others, but usually about once a week I end up taking everyone out and stripping them down (usually late at night when everyone's asleep and therefore unable to pop into my room and cause unnecessary awkwardness at several naked dolls sprawled out on my bed) and then I mix and match the clothes so that everyone's wearing something different from what they had on before ^^

12. I cant say I change them often but whenever I get bored of there look or buy them something new I change it! ;)

13. Sometimes my dolls will sit around for months in whatever state I left them last. Could be fully dressed, could be draped, sometimes it's half or fully naked.

When I change their clothes and find something I like, it usually stays on them for a while, and I generally intend to photograph them. Sometimes I have seen them in one outfit for long and I feel like it's "old" before I ever get them in front of the camera. I have to remind myself no one else has seen it but me!

But that's the trap I fall into - always feeling like I need to make something new before I can photograph anything!

14. :chocoberryI have nine dolls. And I change everyone`s outfit at least once or twice a month (my yo-sd less). Some get changed every week. But it depends wich doll is my favourite at that time.

15. I change my doll's clothes whenever I make her a new outfit.

16. I try to change them for the seasons most. As well as if on trip or going to a meet up. If they are sitting at home, not in story or got nothing new then they will sit in same outfit for quite a while. I would change them more, but clothes changed to much get damaged, or stained & washing even by hand can be a challenge.

17. Sometimes when I find the exact outfit I want I just stick with it, because it took me so long to find the look. I don't like change much.:)

18. well, i am a seamstress and am always trying new designs on my girl... so yes! between me and my daughters she is never left alone, poor girl ❛‿❛

19. I change Kaelyn's clothes often as I sew a lot for her and use her for a model. But she does have a certain personality so the clothes I make or buy for her have to fit in with that character/personality.
My next doll's character is a bit more stylized so I doubt I'll change her clothes as much as I do Kaelyn's.

20. I'm pretty erratic in my doll habits. At times I handle them everyday, for a week, other times I don't touch them for a month. I have no set outfits that my dolls have to be in, since I have no specific characters for them, but I do have preferred outfits that I like my dolls to be in. But that's probably because I really don't have that many clothing for them.
I have the problem of not having enough display space. I would totally play with my dolls more if I had them, their clothing and accessories on display, so if I happen to just glance at them and see something that sparks my interest, I can just wander over there and easily change it out.
Just imagine... a doll's boudoir permanently set up in a room.
