  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I seem to only be attracted to dolls that remind me of myself in some way, it might be their nose or their mouth... Its usually a version of me when I was younger. For me personally I find it quite healthy to connect that way, other people may think Im quite an egotist ;)
      For instance my Iplehouse Soo that I have settled on, she reminds me of what I used to look like as a teenager so I kind of dress her like in that era too. If anyone has seen what I look like I obviously dont look EXACTLY like her, but I see something of myself in some of her features. I used to have a doll that reminded me of my girlfriend too. So yes, I am attracted to dolls that sort of resemble people I find attractive in everyday life.

    2. No, I would probably be appalled by a doll that looks like someone I know. This might sound silly, but it would be very creepy for me to have a doll that resembled a real person - maybe this is part of the reason why I don't like realistic dolls as well as I like the more stylized ones.

    3. Wow its really interesting how different everyone is when it comes to what attracts them to there dolls. I have noticed i am attracted to some fantasy style dolls too. mostly elf's but i would love to get a hold of a little YO-SD centaur.

    4. That's really cool! I haven't found a doll yet that reminds me of myself. Though being a part of this group i have already been introduced to new doll makers. I would love to get a doll that looks like me. Id spoil her rotten and call her mini me.

    5. I like dolls that have maybe one feature that reminds me of myself, but if they are too close it really freaks me out.
      There is one bjd out there that looks exactly like one of my friends. To the point that I can't look at it without seeing her, and it doesn't seem to matter how this bjd is styled it always looks like her. It's kind of a shame because I like the bjd, but it freaks me out how much it looks like her, if I got it, it would feel like my friend was always watching me.

I don't really go for dolls that look like people I know..but I like a very specific set of characteristics for mouths... funny enough, my boyfriend has this set of characteristics and so does my doll Bjorn. My mom says that they look alike but I really think it is only the mouth areas on them both.

    7. I haven't really found dolls that look like the people I care most about, but in general, I go for dolls that look like my original characters...or just pretty sculpts...more of my ideal guy or girl, not so much people I know.

    8. The sculpts that attract me have more to do with facial structure than familiarity. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I am a portrait artist and have studied so many different faces. I am able to easily see the differences between sculpts...which tend to have delicate features...and human features. I like the fact that the dolls are stylized. However, I do intend to make some dolls dopplegangers of my favorite anime and manga characters.
