1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Sleep with your doll? Is it Weird?

Oct 27, 2016

    1. I don't think I would be able to sleep with my doll. I would be afraid of breaking it.

    2. That too.

    3. I don't. I would be too afraid of accidentally breaking them. I move around too much. *_*

    4. Uh, no. I would never do that. Not only do I toss and turn a lot, but I'd be afraid of rolling on top of a doll and snapping a finger or something.

    5. A couple of times I've laid my doll on the cushion she came with, like another bed on my bed. That usually keeps things out of the way... And when I play DS games or read on my bed she's sitting there. But I like to have my bed be full of only soft objects, so usually when I sleep my doll goes on the bookshelf ^^

    6. I would love but, sadly I kick off everything that isn't by/above my head.

    7. I sleep with my dolls whenever I had nightmares, they make me calm like my little protectors. I usually put them on top of my pillow so whenever i turn I can only touch their legs

    8. When I first got my doll I slept with her right next to me since I don't move much in my sleep. So I don't think its weird! After a few weeks I started to have her sitting on the headboard by my feet where I can see her.

    9. All I can think of is "Ow! Ow! Ow!" Hard resin =/= good sleep. And I move around way too much.

Now if I had my dream bed, which has a bookshelf as a headboard, I could see having my doll(s) in stands on top.

    10. Sometimes? It depends a lot on my mood, how I'm feeling, etc. Single with a queen size all to myself so the common problems aren't an issue here. Honestly I think my dolls are very cuddly...

At the least (and most often), I always have one on my nightstand. The presence is... comforting, though it doesn't replace sleeping next to an actual person by any means.

    11. I put my doll on the bed (not "sleeping" though, in sitting position)
it because I'm afraid to damage them XD so I put it in my bed but in secure position ;3

    12. I move around way to much to sleep with my dolls! I don't want to break my beautiful babies!

    13. sometimes I'll put my doll on the other pillow on my bed in a sitting position. there isn't anywhere close to my bed that she could sit, so if I want her to be close at night, that's my best option.

    14. It's not weird at all, I think. I do sleep with whichever one is getting the most attention on the opposite side of the bed, just because it's big and I know I don't move much. I do, however, definitely roll in place during the night, so any actual contact is reserved for when I'm awake or just dozed off.

It helps that I'm pretty bad at restringing, so a lot of my crew are on the looser side.

    15. I don't see anything wrong with the way you sleep with him. I like to keep my girl safe so I leave her in her box she came in for now until her diorama is done. I'd sleep with her if I didn't toss and turn a lot in my sleep.

    16. I went through a really rough patch in July where I really needed some comfort or strength to draw on, and so for maybe a week I'd have a different girl on the pillow that lays next to me each night. I can't really hold them while I sleep (not very comfortable), but it was nice to have one of them beside me at the time.

    17. I sleep with toys and such but I'm too afraid to do it with my doll. I roll around quite a bit and I'm afraid I'll get it dirty with my face oils. I don't think it's weird though. It's cute!

    18. My BJD sits on my bed almost all the time. I don't think it's weird at all! :)

    19. Because I sleep with my dog (who tends to see the world as an abundance of toys), I have no doubt I would wake up with a handless doll! More importantly, resin is super toxic and I don’t want to risk my dog ingesting anything!

    20. My floating head is really comforting to me in terms of mental health stuff and I've napped with them next to me to calm me down. Can't wait for them to have a body cuz they'll be even more comforting!
