1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Sleep with your doll? Is it Weird?

Oct 27, 2016

    1. I would want to sleep with my dolls, since they're like my best friends, I hate putting them all away in their cabinet :( Unfortunately, I would be too scared that I would hurt them in my sleep, or that my cats would try to chew on them. But I do let my dolls sit with me during the day while I work on art projects and stuff! :)

    2. I toss and turn a lot in my sleep and I’ve had multiple stuffed animals end up on the floor over the course of a night so I’d be too afraid to sleep with my dolls personally. However, that’s just my personal situation. Do what makes you happy because that’s what this hobby is about.

    3. Yeah I’ll sleep with my dolls on the bed...I normally put a pillow between me and the doll through to be safe

    4. I'd totally do that but I'm just afraid of the possibility of squishing them or something.

What's worse, of I kick them off the bed (my bed is pretty high...)

    5. When I first got my MSD girl she slept with me for like a week straight
Now she stays in the closet with my other dollies so that they can keep each other company

    6. I personally dont sleep with my dolls, but I also have a tendency to kick EVERYTHING off of my bed in the middle of the night if I get to warm, and the dolls are a tiddle bit to expensive for me to be risking that.

    7. I definitely don't sleep with my dolls. I'd be too afraid of damaging them. And yes, I do think it's some what weird but who am I to call anything strange? (Being pretty strange myself.)

    8. I used to sleep with my Limhwa half elf girl when I first got her. I left her box on my bed and slept beside it because I loved her so much I'd fall asleep staring at her beautiful face. LOL!

    9. Sure, sometimes! Luckily, the husband doesn't mind too much. Usually I find them sitting daintily on my nightstand the next morning. *laughs*

    10. I sleep with my dog. I don't want to share my bed with a doll or whatever else. :x

    11. I sleep with my dolls mostly by accident and sometimes intentionally. There is always the lurking fear of damaging it in any way. I don't find it weird. To me it's like a pillow or blanket. Some just prefer it. I also do other activities like watching movie with them hence why I occasionally accidentally fall asleep with them.

    12. I don't sleep with my dolls, but sometimes if I'm watching tv and holding a doll in my lap or just beside me I might fall asleep without first putting it back. This doesn't happen often because if I find myself getting sleepy I try to put the doll aside so i don't knock it on the floor in my sleep.

    13. Whatever works for you is fine!

My big bjds are not in my bedroom. It gives them a break from me. I figure, after I'm asleep, they get up and stretch and talk among themselves after a hard day of posing motionless! My tinies are in my bedroom. You have to keep an eye on those guys!

    14. I used to leave mine near me in my bed but one time I knocked him off -____- every since then I haven't had courage to try again with any of them but maybe I will when I get a bigger bed :D

    15. No, I wouldn't sleep with any of my dolls. They are far too expensive and breakable for that!

    16. Next to the bed and at the foot of the bed, yes but not really in the bed. Well, I've napped with a doll in bed with me, but would be too worried about damaging the faceup if they were in bed for the long haul through the night. Like others, too much tossing and turning. I don't think it's weird, I think it would be comforting.

    17. My Soom boy is so comforting to have next to me, but as soon as I get really drowsy, I try to get up and move him off the bed. He arrived with a broken ear, so I don’t want to re-break it.

    18. I'd be terrified of breakage. Plus, my husband wouldn't be too happy, haha!

    19. I don't sleep with my dolls and I wouldn't try. I move a lot in my sleep and I would be afraid to damage them, especially their face-up. Moreover, resin is hard and would be too uncomfortable to sleep with in my opinion x) I also have my dog on my bed already so I don't want him to "play" with the dolls while I'm asleep. Having them sitting on a shelf near my bed is perfectly fine for me, as I can still see them from my bed. I don't think it's weird, it's just not my thing ^^

    20. i did and hold their hand to calm myself :)
