1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Sleep with your doll? Is it Weird?

Oct 27, 2016

    1. Oh, I wish I could! But the one that is currently at home is way to tiny to have her in bed. I'm too afraid I would break her. (So I carry her around the house at least.)

    2. Is it weird? If it makes you happy, who care if other people think it's weird? Embrace your weirdness! ;)

I wouldn't personally do it, because I wouldn't want to roll over on a hard doll at night (never mind the breakage risk to the doll). Plus I tend to see my dolls more as display pieces than characters, so even if they were soft I wouldn't see the point. But it has no impact on me if other people do things differently. :)

    3. I don't, but I imagine it being very uncomfortable since they're mostly hard and bony-ish. Also their eyelashes might get ruined so that's a nono. XD

    4. I'd like to, but I like to wriggle around at night and my bed is quite small, so I'm afraid I'd break my boy.

    5. As much as I want to put them all in kigurumis or a plushie body so that my girls and boys can have free reign over my bed, I am too scared that I might push them off the bed when I sleep (yes, I am one of those people sadly:doh) also I'm absolutely terrified that I might chip their face up or drool on them:sigh

    6. sleeping with dolls makes me calm myself

    7. I don't think it's weird, but I don't sleep with my dolls. I think my girls would rather sleep with each other :wiggle

I have, on occasion, picked up my dolls and held them on my lap for some extended periods of time, but I've only done that while I'm well awake.

    8. It's not weird :) I don't sleep with my doll because he is quite big and I'm afraid I will knock him off. I don't have any side table next to my bed to prevent my doll from falling off, so I don't want to risk it xD However, I slept with my Taeyang doll a while back, that was lovely because when I woke up, I saw his redhead first. I was not afraid that I would knock him off because I had a side table next to my bed at that time, and he's small.

    9. I’ve fallen asleep leaving a doll on the bed before. My fiancé used to work nights so me + doll on the other side of a queen-sized bed was fine. For cuddling though, I prefer a pillow or alpacasso plush. I’d also be afraid of bending the lashes or some other damage. I used to keep UNOSS on my night table for a while but I missed seeing her sitting in company with her 2 doll friends. I tend to keep my dolls in several little groups.

    10. I don't think it is weird at all. I used to do it with off topic dolls before I customize them because I feel it helps me figure out who they want to be. I would be too afraid of doing it with a bjd because I sleep on a tiny bed and am afraid of damaging them.

    11. I would really like to sleep with my dolls in the bed but I am too worried I'd roll onto them or they'd fall off. So I usually just cuddle with them before bed and then put them to sleep in their box. I always have Simone and Zea cuddle at night.

    12. I don't think it's weird at all. But I keep my dolls inside a cabinet :)

    13. I don't physically sleep with my dolls but at least one of my dolls sits in his chair next to my bed. So, I can always see him & if I did want to hold him I could~

    14. It’s not weird, but but I sleep with my husband and a cat. There’s no place:sweat

    15. i lay her by my side sometimes.

    16. It's not strange, but it might not be a good idea, whether or not you cuddle your doll, something could happen, like accidently fall off of the bed, or something like that...

    17. I do not sleep with my dolls as in.... eh... you-know-what.
I do not sleep with my dolls as in, all in my bed. (then i can go downstairs to the sofa....)
I do sleep with my dolls as in, they are stored all in their own beds in my bedroom.

    18. I don't think it's weird, I've never thought of it actually! Now that you mentioned it, I kinda wanna make my doll a bed and let him sleep beside me! LMAO

    19. I generally would not, since I'm super paranoid about rolling over and kicking them off onto the floor or something.

BUT I sometimes work on them in my bed, and I accidentally fell asleep with one of my dolls in the bed with me while I was sewing for her. Fortunately she was perfectly safe when I woke up, and honestly falling asleep with a bunch of pins and needles open in my bed was the bigger issue. XD

    20. I don't think it's weird at all, but I'm too afraid of them falling off or damaging their face-up.
