1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

do you take off your dolls shoes when at home?

Oct 7, 2011

    1. Sometimes. It honestly depends on how I feel and how they're dressed. And also what size they are. For example, my MSDs are all teenagers and I tend to play with them the most. I like to mess around and pose those dolls in different ways every so often so they're not just sitting there in the same pose forever. So if they're in a more "casual" pose, like hanging out on their doll bed or something, then yea I'll take off their shoes. It just makes more sense to me and I feel like it works better with the pose.

My "younger" and smaller doll tends to go barefoot more often than he does with shoes on because I think its cuter and feel like its fits his personality better. In his case, he tend to only wear shoes when we go out x3 This also kind of goes for my other tinies that aren't technically young, but that's mostly because they're sharing only 1 pair of shoes at the moment and don't really have much in the way of clothing yet ...

The only dolls that tend to always wear shoes are my bigger (and older character-wise) guys. Urm at least the ones that have shoes ... It just looks and feels better when they're not barefoot.

Not sure if that's weird or not, but its just how I like to go about it :sweat

    2. I always take their shoes off; I really only ever put them on when they're going outside. I hate wearing shoes (I often go out in my yard without them) so having theirs on is kind of weird to me. Especially in the house when they're not going to be stepping on anything dirty or anything.

    3. I leave them on usually, but sometimes they come off depending...

    4. That really depends on the doll.
My Elijah for example is always wearing his slip-on shoes because they are fairly light, soft and just complete his rather casual default outfit without getting in the way too much, while my two biggest boys almost never wear shoes. One because his boots are super heavy and annoying to take off and on when I change his clothes, and the second because his character is always barefoot anyways.
The list goes on with mostly the same reasons for my other dolls.

    5. I always take my doll's shoes off at home! I'm not sure why I started doing it but now it's a habbit~ Oh and taking their shoes off makes them lighter :)

    6. Yes! I think it's because I'm in Hawaii. No one really wears shoes indoors here, and my dolls are no different.

    7. Lol thats my answer as well ^^

    8. same here...............

    9. Most of mine are barefoot. My shall refuses to take off her boots, but the others are barefooted.

    10. Since neither me, nor the girls, go out much, it's more like if I put them on when I do! Only one of my dolls [and I have 3] wears shoes, and it's only because she came with them. But no, if the shoes come off, it's because ....well, just because! Haha. Whenever I decide to make or buy the other 2 girls some shoes, they'll stay on.

    11. Most of the time, i keep their foot gears on, saves time whenever I bring them out =v=

    12. Mine all keep their boots/shoes/slippers on indoors, I think it's mainly because if I forget to put shoes or at least socks on them I keep thinking oh no their poor cold feets! Maybe that is because I permanently have cold feet myself though (bad circulation), maybe if I lived somewhere warm they and I might be barefoot more! This excludes my Baha though as she's a cat and cats don't need shoes!:kitty2

    13. I hate shoes myself so I find myself never putting shoes on my puki xD Like mama, like daughter I guess lol

    14. Most of the time I actually do. My child is this vulnerable, melancholic character, so he tends to curl up a lot - which is simply easier without any shoes on. Besides, I wouldn't want to keep them on all day long myself, so why should he? It's so uncomfortable, after all.
(And he has the prettiest pair of feet, too. I'd be a shame to cover these up!)

    15. I leave Nohawka's shoes on D: or they'll get lost cause I fail.

    16. I put my doll's shoes on only when he wears a particular outfit. They're big goth boots and they don't look good with anything else. I like them a lot because they help him stay on his stand. But when he's lounging on furniture and wearing something other than gothic outfits, his little feet stay bare!

    17. Half my dolls don't even have shoes yet! But I typically keep shoes on the girls that have them, unless Grace is wearing something sexy.

    18. I keep shoes on whenever I can because it's such a hassle to put on and put off. =3=

    19. Yeah I do.... I hadnt even thought about it before. I really only put their shoes on occasionally, for meets and such. I guess my dolls are like me and only wear shoes when they HAVE TO.

    20. I was going to say that yes, my dolls always wear their shoes, but after I thought about it, I decided that was inaccurate. Those that have outfits are usually dressed and shod if they're painted. I tend to leave the shoes on rather than struggle with them.
