1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

do you take off your dolls shoes when at home?

Oct 7, 2011

    1. When I had just two I used to box them every night, I'd take their shoes off to do that. Now I have six I don't ahve the space to keep them all boxed at night time so they all sit in a line on a CD cabinet, shoes on.

    2. If one of my dolls is lucky enough to have shoes, he/she will always wear them. I don't have enough shoes for all my dolls (9 out of 20 are barefoot/in socks), which is pretty sad considering I have several bags of extra clothes/wigs. I plan to buy them shoes, but keeping putting it off. I'll admit that I'm surprised anyone takes their dolls' shoes off when they're at home. It seems like they wouldn't be outside enough to make the shoes worth the cost, unless the doll attends a lot of meets or the owner takes them everywhere.

    3. I dont take their shoes off. This is because I'm afraid for them to get stained, and so, I preffer them to be covered as much as possible. :(

    4. my girl wears her shoes all the time...makes her able to stand better..so the shoes stay on all the time...also im afraid she'll yellow so more coverup the better!

    5. All of my dolls have their own slippers :) It's so cute when they sit in their seats in the slippers in the form of rabbits, tigers, and frogs

    6. As all of mine are either seated in my bed or one of their own beds it's shoes off. I wouldn't be wearing shoes in bed myself and once i get slippers sown for the lot of them they'll be sporting those ^^

    7. All of my dolls keep their shoes on when at home. I'm just so lazy that I can't bother to take them off every time.

    8. I don't have shoes for all my dolls, but if they do have shoes and I put the shoes on them, then I leave them on until they are next changed or another doll needs them.

    9. I tend to leave my boy's shoes on because he's almost always dressed anyways. He has socks so I'm not worried about them getting him dirty.

    10. To add to my first post, I also think that when my dolls are at home with shoes on, somehow, they seem overdressed.

I only wear shoes if I'm going out, so I think this translates to how I dress my dolls. If I bring my dolls out, they will always wear shoes, otherwise they look under dressed. If I don't want to bring my dolls out, and they're wearing shoes, they look overdressed.

    11. Maybe change their outdoor shoes to slippers 'cause i think it kind of danger to just leave the feet with nothing on...

    12. My dolls wear shoes most of the time.

Strangely it never occurs to me to take their shoes off when they're on my bed even though they have gone outdoors with those shoes before... which is the total opposite of how I treat human shoes... but my dolls don't step in dirt much...

    13. Given the struggle it takes to get some of these boots on these dolls' feet, once I get 'em on, they're gonna STAY on for a damn long time! ^^ No, I don't take their shoes off unless there's a reason they're going barefoot (nude shows, cosplay, travelling, etc). The shoes are part of the outfit, so they stay on. I love shoes! I love looking at many excellent shoes at once!

    14. my girl doesn't have shoes yet :sweat
but if she did/when I get her some I will take them off when we come home after a trip out
she needs to go to sleep in her box every night so I want to avoid getting her pillows dirty

    15. I wear shoes at home all the time, I don't have those beliefs and find them rather unlessesary so why would my dolls. However like me my doll is barefoot in the mornings and at night as well as most of the dayin summer

    16. one of my girls has her shoes on all the time, they just look great with the outfit but the other three are barefoot or just in socks or stockings(bodystocking)

    17. I would especially since I love dolly feet they are just so cute

    18. I leave my doll's shoes on mainly because they're a bit of a pain to take off since there's a belt type thing around the ankle that I have to undo to take them off.

    19. Only one of my three dolls have shoes haha. He currently has them on, but sometimes I will take them off.
