Do you talk to your dolls.....

I certainly talk to my dolls !!!! I always talk and talk to everything , the sky, the road, the tv, my shoes ... TV does funny things I ask it "why are you doing this now?" , shoes hurting me I say "Ok stop this right now!" , road is full of cars can't cross it I say "Seriously again ? You must be kidding me!" so it's only natural that I talk even more to dolls ..... At the end of te day I talk far more to inanimate things than to people because people get bored of me talking and they ask me to shut up everything else not lol

 

I’m totally a talker! I talk to my dollies a lot, especially when I’m doing things like dressing them or putting them to bed

 

Usually I say stuff like "Please ! Please fit this dress ! Please don't fall ! Please maintain this position !" I wish they had better posability.

 

I talk to and for my dolls a lot! Mostly to them... sometimes I find myself promising them I will play with them later LOL. I also like having one sit with me at my desk while I work. I work from home so it feels like someone else is "checking" my work as I go.

 

I do. Kinda the typical stuff when I'm interacting with them. Weather it be dressing or posing them and they decided not to cooperate with me, lol.
Or just recently I took Quatre out of the glass cabinet and bummed his head. I apologized to him.

 

Oh yeah, constantly. Whenever I have a resin boy nearby, I’ll ask how he’s doing, how he likes his wig, his outfit, etc.

That said, I’ll talk to a sock on the ground, so….

 

I use to talk to them when I'm dressing them or brushing their hair. To me it's something normal since I've talked with all my dolls since I was a kid.

 

I have a tendency to talk to myself and narrate what I'm doing, especially since I started living alone, so yes. But when I talk directly to my dolls, it's usually begging them to cooperate while I change their clothes, rather than telling them about my life or creating stories.

 

I don't think I'm talking to the dolls, I'm kind of asking them for favors, because the things I usually say are things like, "Okay, just hold still for a second, I'll be done in a second," or "Please can you hold this pose for three minutes, let's just get this done and go home," or "Right, thanks for a great day." X°D

 

I do. I have a tendency to talk to myself when I am alone, so of course everything that's going through my head while I'm handling a doll will be said out loud (not that loud!) as well:
"We'll be changing your clothes today." or "This new wig looks very nice on you."

Nice to read that so many other people do this as well.

 

I talk to my dolls but it is predominantly in my head. But I do enjoy taking my dolls out with me to venues and we have a good time together.

 

I was putting Candell in a difficult pose a few days ago and I told her "fa' la brava" (please behave). Every time I talk to my dolls I confirm my theory that dolls are actually kittens. Same vocabulary, except for the bits about dresses and wigs (my cat is grateful).

 

I posted in this thread before... Nowadays, the thing I say most to my dolls is: "don't fall." That is an order. Most of the time they're obedient, but occasionally someone doesn't pay attention...

 

I use them as a sounding board. I talk through my ideas about things, what clothes I’m going to make them all that sort of stuff.

 

Like so many here I talk to everything including myself so my dolls are no exception……actually that’s a bit of a lie, I don’t talk to everything as I try to avoid talking to most people as a general rule! Dolls are better company than a lot of humans even when they’re uncooperative.

 

Yup. I talk to them, much like others have said: please stop wiggling, don’t move, get yer foot into that shoe already. Who are you? What’s your style? How can you not love all black clothes?

I’m glad they don’t talk back.

 

My dolls guilt trip me to make them more clothes. They get jealous of each other. I should keep them in separate areas so they don't conspire with each other.

 

I'm another one of the people talking to all sort of objects and animals, so yeah, also dolls.
Sometimes in my head, but also out loud, the classic sorries of "oh sweetie, I'm sorry" if I bump any of the boys or they topple over etc. or bantering and complaining if they are not cooperating while posing or getting dressed.

 

Another "Mainly inside my own head" talker here, though like many others I do verbalise when we're actively doing stuff together, like posing or wrestling with outfits XD

 

I do! I treat them as how I would treat an actual person.
