1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you talk to your dolls.....

Oct 26, 2020

    1. I usually just say that they are beautiful and ask if they like their new outfit, shoes, wig, or whatever I got for them. I think talking to them just makes it feel real that they are mine and know that I love them.

    3. Sometimes when I'm interacting with them, I don't hear voices in my imagination or anything, but some of my dolls certainly speak to me with their actions :XD:
*Doll shifts out of position* are you tired dear? Let's take a break for now.
*Doll's wig pops off for the 917th time despite all efforts to keep it in place* okay, I get it you're tired of this one. We can go to the dolly salon.
*Doll got color transfer on the toes* long day at work, huh? How about a foot scrub?
Yeah, they're a bit spoiled :abambi:

    4. If touch could be considered a language then I feel like I talk to my dolls through the way I hold them. I talk to them in my mind, and in the way I pose them, and where I display them - where I can appreciate them every time I glance their way.
But I don't talk words to them out loud.

    5. i talked to my vinyl dolls a little but boy do i talk to my resin strung dolls, mostly when im trying to dress or pose them because they move on their own sooo much im pretty much just arguing with them the whole time

    6. I don't hold conversations or anything like that, but I often feel compelled to greet them when I enter a room where there's one or more BJDs, or say "Good night!" to the ones in my bedroom when I'm going to sleep. It feels like it would be rude not to! :XD:

They definitely have more of a "presence" than any of my figures/statues. Various humanoid faces looking at me throughout my home is far from new and I've never felt the need to say anything to an anime figure (except to apologize if I knock one over or bonk it on something while moving it, maybe) but the BJDs are something different. I think it's the eyes. They have a lot more "life" in them than the average humanoid object.

Besides, when I inevitably pass on one day, I don't want my BJDs to be "haunted dolls" So I make sure to treat them with courtesy and show them appreciation, just in case there really is something immaterial that rubs off on objects like them.
