1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Hmmm, I'd have to say I fall into the category of "re-release the sculpt but not the fullset face-up / clothing category". I bought my Luts Redemption The Moon because of the design and the amazing clothes, of which there were only 100 made, but the sculpt itself is common and available in other configurations, which didn't bother me at all. Likewise the Volks Williams, which I got for the dandy-ish clothes (plus I adored his long auburn hair), and though I've no idea of how many were made (does Volks ever release such figures?) it's only the head that marks him out. Given that expert customisers then go on to change even the limited forms, it all just adds to the variety, which is surely the point? Ultimately, though, things are only worth what other people are willing to pay for them, irrespective of their personal value or emotional attachment.

    2. I don't think limited dolls should be released again. They wouldn't really be all that limited if they came out again.

    3. No. I do not believe that limited dolls should ever be restocked. I may wish for such at points, but I don't think it would be at all fair.

    4. I agree limited dolls should never be restocked. Reissuance defeats the purpose of making them LE whether the LE is a set number or a set timeframe. Either way I think that makes them more special and there will always be other LEs to try to obtain.

    5. I think it is deceptive for a company to say a doll has a limited release and then release it again later. Some people may buy it then who wouldn't have had they known they would get another chance when it was released later.

    6. Well, I don't own a limited edition and I think I couldn' afford it, and I own just a doll, so sometimes its a bit sad seeing a really cool limited edition, don't have the money, and you can't save either, when you get the money is out of stock, so I don't know its a difficult decision.

    7. I have a limited doll, and would not have liked it if the company had restocked it after the original number was sold out.
Limiteds are limiteds for a reason. Once you have one, you can say, "Wow, that really is special," and bringing them back for sale after the original number is gone would take that away.

    8. I agree with Terren and ive never seen a company restock a limited doll, if the mold is limited and they made a different version limited outta a mold thats a different matter but not the same thing.

    9. nope. if a limited dolls is restock it would be that limited or special anymore right?

    10. Yes, but in some variation so that it's not an exact copy of the original limited doll.

    11. limited edition sets, no. I don't think those should be re-released.
But limited dolls, I think they should. At least once a year... I mean, come on... I can't find Cian ANYWHERE. He's MY dream doll, and as soon as I had enough to get him, they sold out! So, no... I think basic sculpts should always be released... but sets, no.

    12. I'm waiting for my Evgeneia:Haneol, fullset. He is an ideal for me with his default look. I'll try to leave with the 10 released copies all over the world, but rerelease would break my heart. Hundreds of my character clones, that would kill me ^^ Concerning a limited mold (not fullset), any restock will be fine, I don't care.

      ^^sorry for my poor language

    13. I'm in the boat of "re-releasing, with changes". To use my doll for an example, she's a Soom Beryl. Now, I didn't purchase her as a full set. Bought her blank. Now, if they re release her sculpt later, I'll kind of kick myself, but I'm glad I got her when I did. I think, personally, if they are going to re-release a limited, they shouldn't do it in the exact same fullset. Not the same clothing, wig, eyes, accessories. If they took the Beryl and turned her into a sheep, with fluffy outfit, utilizing her hooves and horns, and call it another limited fullset, then bully for them! It'll give other people a chance to get her if they fell in love with her hooves, but missed her the first time. Re-releasing her in all her pink lingerie succubus glory again? Then they're just going back on thier word.

    14. I'm kind of on the fence on this issue. I think that limited doll's are limited so that they're rare, which is great! Except that there are certain situations where absolutely gorgeous doll's are sold once at an event, or only to one country, which leaves the rest of us out.

For example, DoD has two 'collection' doll's that they sold in Hong Kong during a convention.

I would kill for either one of them! They're stunning! But it will never happen, because they where only sold on that one day, to the people that happened to be there.

I do agree with limited dolls being released once, and only once (Though I'm fine with alterations and new sets ;D) But not when it's in a way that most people are completely excluded from because of something as simple as location.

    15. I am a newbie in Indiana as well.... I wonder the same thing about a limited or sold out item still being up to see and make us covet them, I think they need to just remove the pics from the sites that sell them (not peoples dolls ond Den of ANgels ) but on the sales sites. They have more than enough to sell,

    16. The only chance that I will have to get some of the Volks LE dolls that I want is FCS.
I think a large number of limited dolls should be made. I am very sad that there are many Volks LE bjds that I will never be able to own. :(

    17. Limited is okay to be limited, but make a decent amount of them if it's an actual sculpt and not just an outfit set T___T *cries at DOD One-offs*

I'm all for limiting the full-sets, but for the love of all that is good and decent, at least wide-release the lovely sculpts so the people who have to save for dolls over a longer period have a chance. And as DeadShadowR mentioned, the whole "one doll, one event, never again" is a killer.

    18. Doesn't restocking a limited doll defeat the whole concept of it being limited? I thought that if a doll was limited, it was exactly that, limited and that there are only a certain number that particular doll in existence. Whilst it's ultimately the company's product and choice, i would be disappointed especially if i bought the doll because it was limited.

    19. I'm biased.. cause these dolls have been around since before I started collecting. Before I even knew they existed- some i would like to come back. So I say yes.. but i understand the owners feelings that they paid for it when it came out- but think of those who didn't get a chance.

Also I don't think it would be half the price as the one before.. it would either be a little more or the same.. not half.

    20. This is a really subjective topic I think, but we all have our own opinions neh. :)

I'd have to say I agree,as it's still limited in a sense that it's not available all-year round.

Anyway,I'm with the many others that said that they think LEs should be re-released but with changes to their fullset.I just think that it'd be nicer if people could obtain the doll that they truly love, without the issue of it being an LE stopping them.
(I know a few people who've opted for other dolls that are cheaper than what it would cost them to obtain the LE that they love, and I think it's quite saddening that they have to opt for "second-best" [as I quote one of them].But that's just purely an opinion.) :sweat
