1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls have any non-BJD clothing?

Jul 7, 2013

    1. I have a Doll Leaves Ada 16.5cm and she wears Lady Lovely Locks clothes. They fit perfectly and they're really cute! Too bad the matching shoes don't fit.

    2. I purchased not long ago some Newberry clothing (they are like the American dolls but Canadian). They are perfect for my sd13 size boys. The long sleeve shirts and the pants became t-shirts and shorts for my dolls.

    3. My Heron (Asleep Eidolon Fay on Camellia Dynasty 1/3 boy body) is wearing a tunic that's actually made out of a belly dancer waist scarf. No need for sewing, just some wrapping and tying, and it was only five bucks on ebay. :)

    4. I own two slim tinies from ResinSoul and Bobobie, and they fit nearly perfectly into most of the things in my childhood stash of Barbie doll clothes. This works great, because their unique size means normal yo-sd clothes are giant on them. >.> I think there's no shame in it tbh, as long as it fits nicely on a doll any brand of clothes should fly. :p

    5. My Big Baby (a Loongsoul with a DIM head) can wear clothing made for Disney Animator dolls, but I think that's it.

    6. I have a Maskcat Ester that has some fashion doll clothes. Not all fashion doll clothes fit her perfectly because she has a small chest. But minor modifications are all that needed. I am actually kind of curious if the petite Barbie clothes would fit her better,

    7. My Minifees can wear some larger Barbie and Ken shirts--they look more like crop tops on my girls but they look cute! I've also purchased Glitter Girls brand doll clothing off of Amazon that fit them fairly well. The bottoms sometimes need to be taken in a bit but the tops fit pretty well for the most part. I even found a cute pair of GG brand light up sneakers that fit my girls!

    8. Teen Trends clothing fit my MSD-sized Unoa very well, even some of the shoes! The accessories are also cute. Teen Trends clothing can be found on ebay.

    9. My Fairyland Realfee girl and two Doll Chateau Luna’s wear Blythe dresses by a favored seamstress on Etsy.:)

    10. When my Minifee first arrived I had her in some bloomers, straw hat, and a pinafore, all taken from a thrifted porcelain doll. The bloomers had an elastic waistband so they fit fine, but I had to tie the waist of the pinafore a bit to turn it into a dress of sorts. The hat looked cute, but I also tend to like oversized hats, so maybe it didn't really fit, but I liked how it looked.

Spoilered since the pic is a bit big, but here's an old pic of my girl in the porcelain doll clothes. Sorry that she's bald! I didn't have a wig yet at the time.

Now that I also have a 1/3 doll, I'm thinking these things might have worked better for a big doll than a slim MSD. They could also possibly be taken in at the waist and back for a better fit, I just don't really trust my tailoring skills to do that just yet. But I do in the meantime continue to collect nice porcelain doll clothes for such future projects!

Recently as well, at a local carnival-type event, I saw a stall selling keychains in the shape of sports shoes, like soccer and basketball shoes. They looked like they might have fit MSD but I didn't get the chance to go check them out. I would have liked to buy some of the 1/4 scale fantasy weapon models they also sold (some were Genshin weapons as well) but they were quite expensive, so I passed on that.

But really, I'll buy anything that fits, if it's not more expensive than tailor-made things, or has a cool design.

    11. Yeah! Some of my cocopets animals are not wearing clothes! And some of them are half naked

    12. Oh yeah. My Atelier Momoni girls are both wearing Barbie or barbie-like-doll clothing right now. They make some really high quality barbie clothes, and it's SO much easier than sewing for that scale! My Frappzilla Lupi is also wearing a Ken t-shirt, I think.

I also found clothes designed for, of all things, a Jackie Kennedy doll that fit my Soulkid doll like a glove when I went to a random doll show a few years back. The shoes were way too small but the dress was absolutely perfect. Go figure.

    13. Yes, I used to collect Tyler Wentworth and my dolls often wear clothing from that line. Not all outfits are the correct size but certain pieces fit well.

    14. Yes some brand that I think fits American girl dolls but there from walmart. Also some dresses and shoes and socks that are from porcelain dolls from the thrift store. And some Barbie clothes can fit some of my msd

    15. Mika has an American Girl outfit that I took in to fit, you can kind of see the new seam on the back here:

It's still on the baggy side but I think the oversized look is cute on a childlike character.

    17. My Atelier Momoni girls are really the only recipients of non-bjd clothing. Momoni and Nena02 Reira share a miniature hoodie that came with a Proper Twelve whiskey bottle. :XD: I've dressed them in various Barbie clothes here and there as well. My KittyM is also wearing a Blythe jacket and shoes.

    18. I have a handful of old porcelain doll and bear outfits that I use. I like the styles and “antique” aged appearance I can find in older doll/bear clothes.
I also bought the big Rainbow High doll to use the body for one of my BJD heads, and the clothes fit my EID pretty well.

    19. I purchased clothes for 1-3years old children for my 75cm doll cuz it’s so much cheaper than doll clothes. Some are fit well but some are not。

    20. I now collect almost exclusively dolls that I can dress in Barbie/Blythe/Rainbow high clothing. And I love it.
