1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls have any non-BJD clothing?

Jul 7, 2013

1. Oh~ I forgot to add! My minifee has a pair of kish doll shoes and I have snatched a pair of bloomers from an antique doll that my dollfie dream girl likes to wear~ >3< wish I could find other interesting things that would fit my dolls but for the time being they mostly have BJD-specific clothing and things I sew for them~

2. I got this wonderful stash of vintage barbie/sindy/similar from ebay for just £10, hoping they'd fit my new dollzone tinies when they were delivered - and yaaaay they did! 3 dolls clothed for £10 and LOADS of spare clothes, although not all of them fit, just the looser waisted styles. I don't like modern barbie clothes - too pink and not that well made, but the vintage fashion doll stuff can be really cute.

3. I have quite a few clothes from dolls when I was little that I'll probably alter and take fabric from.

4. I found an ornament from Disney, a felt Mouseketeers Ears hat, that fits Pukifee/AE Tinies/Lati Yellow dolls as a hat. I intend to get a couple more!

5. Oh, I LOVE clothing finds!

Clothes from Other Dolls:
-Billy has a Ken outfit. The shorts are a pretty decent fit, though he doesn't wear them much anymore.
-Vince and Billy can actually BOTH kind of wear a set of Heart2Heart girl pyjamas-- though the shorts are pants on Billy, and the velcro on the top doesn't quite meet on Vince.

Clothes from Stuffed Animals:
-I bought a Build-a-Bear Small Fry outfit-- the hoodie fits Billy really well, and the shorts fit Vince (I just need to close up the tail hole!)
-I bought a screaming monkey at the airport just so I could get the I <3 Portland shirt off of him. Pete is wearing it now-- it's too wide for him, but it's white so I don't have to worry about staining. Maybe he's just trying out the style...

Other:
-Vince has two tee shirts that were made for tiny (TINY) dogs! They are kind of big and sloppy on him but I think they look super cute.

(The one that's not Cap's shield has the Avengers logo with little portraits of Captain America, Iron Man, and the Hulk.)

6. I will use whatever feels right to the costume or character I'm building. I like the idea of using "found objects" especially with my little elves. A bit of lace, silk, mixed fabric, findings and recycled clothing. Mixed Media? Thrift stores are a great place to find some amazing fabrics for a fraction of the cost of new, and it often has built in character. All can be mixed with newer things to make a unique look. I have a few manufactured things as well as hand sewn items from other doll enthusiasts as well.

7. -ahem- Clothes off a 75% off One Direction doll are on my Soom Faery Legend Metato.

8. I intend to get some newborn baby clothes for my big Impldoll Idol man. It has already worked on my Iplehouse Chase, but I gave them away with him. My YOSD girl got an outfit intended for a Diddle plushie, complete with a bagpack. It looks really cute on her.

9. My yosd boy Vladini wears a 1/6 action figure vest and The Joker coat (Jack Nicholson version).
They (as a group) have worn human hair accessoires.
My msd Aziza wears a clip in extension in her wig. This christmas she wore a wine bottle santa dress. Horrible quality, but it was for laughs only.
I also have another set of 1/6 action figure male clothing, but the sleeves are too long
My zuzu delf wears blythe / pullip clothes.
Harley (yosd) wears a fishnet fingerless glove as a shirt.

10. Since i had a house full of dolls/bears etc, and boxloads of clothes to go withthem, before I discovered BJDs... Absolutely. My no BJD dollies and bears don't mind sharing witthe BDS so my lot wear masses of non BJD stuff - Porcelain doll clothes, Sasha doll clothes etc, as well as mini T-shirts that were made as decoration for a full-sized T-shirt stall at the DiscWorld Conventon a few years back:[IMG]

11. Teddy those tee shirts are brilliant! What a fantastic find. I'm quite jealous of that Librarian shirt, it's so cute.

12. My cat has a couple of sweaters that fit my doll. Hahahahaa, yeah, I'm that kind of cat owner.

I also have a couple of cosplay accessories that can be re-purposed as doll clothes like a leather frill bracelet as a skirt.

13. I like to check out the dolls they have at Savers, a secondhand store nearby. It's hit or miss, but every once in a while they'll have one that looks about the right size to share clothes with my minis. Usually a dress from a porcelain doll. It always feels like a triumph when I get home and something I found there actually fits. I wonder how they'd feel if I were to bring one of my dolls in to try things on… they do have fitting rooms. XD

14. I have 1/4 Angel of Dream BJD's both male and female, old and new body types; and just recently received a 1/4 B&G Male Sharon.
Trying to see what mainstream/odd ball/interesting toy stuff to use with them is a hobby of it's own to me!
We also steal teddy bear clothes & accessories whenever we can.
We've used those rubber band DIY bracelet's & charms too!
I've even used newborn/baby clothing (needing to be re-sized but it was a start!)

The first non-BJD clothing I had were some wrist cuffs from Spenser's the mall.

Tried on some Build-A-Bear's smallfry clothes, I really liked one outfit in particular (didn't get it, heart shirt & skirt), but they're mostly too short.

I loved looking at pet accessories during Halloween, especially the cowboy hats, and I keep looking for more!

I also like to look around toy isles and see "what fits" or try to at least.
Example: A one Heart 2 Heart outfit that turned into a crop top shirt and mini skirt after being worn.

I lopped the sides off Walmart 18 inch girl doll leggings to make leggins/pants for my BJD's.
Also, I have an off brand 18 inch girl doll dress I'm trying to re-size... haven't finished (started) it yet.

QUESTION/REQUEST:

I'm curious to know if those "My First Disney Princess" Toddler 15" dolls clothes fit, if anyone knows!
Specifically the ones in a box or on a paper doll called "My First Disney Princess Sleepwear" with stuffed animal & shoes?
I'm especially interested in the Princess Aurora (squirrel doll) and Bell (with a Beast doll) sleepwear outfits!
Evin if it's baggy/whatever and needs to be taken in a little, I think I could do it, and it would look cute!

Thank you!

15. I've modified a baby tank for my bf's Iple House Rex and I have 2 others to modify.

16. I have a lot of non-BJD things. Vintage Crissy dresses make nice shirts for SD girls and Velvet's T-shirt fits SD boys.
I also have some Ken clothes for Tinies and some little Mouse ears that I found at Disney world.
I have some bracelets that I use for necklaces and some little shoes off a porcelain doll.
My Mecha Angel has a black AC~DC shirt that was meant for tiny dogs!
I prefer BJD clothes but finding other things is fun.

17. My dolls all fit Mattel doll clothes for the most part. I'm always sneaking a peek at the toy section for clothes. It's a nice change from hand sewing every once in awhile.

18. my MSD doll have shoes from a key chain and she also fit with teddy bear house clothes

19. Nothing spectacular - I am sadly unimaginative :P. My 16 cm Dollzone girl wears a knitted Pullip top as a mini dress. And Ragnell wears a Laura Ashley shawl as a veil. I'm a great amateur of human shawls for medieval ladies ;).

20. I have modified infant tanks and onesies into t-shirts for my SDs, and made baggy/hobo pants out of the legs of cutoff (not skinny) jeans.
