1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls have any non-BJD clothing?

Jul 7, 2013

    1. I make most of my own BJD clothes, but occasionally I find baby clothes , mostly t-shirts or onesies, that strike me as funny, that I cut down for my dolls. Currently working on a jean jacket and a neon blue onesie that says:
" ALERT THE PAPARAZZI, I HAVE ARRIVED!"

      • x 1
    2. I found onesies and newborn clothes for my EID guy.

      • x 1
    3. If it fits it fits! So even if it is not meant for a BJD, I might still use it... ;)

    4. My tiny wears Barbie clothes and Sparkle Girl clothes sometimes.

I get most of my BJD clothes from Etsy, but I wouldn't have an issue using clothing not specifically designed for BJDs. If it fits and you like it, who cares what the label says? I just haven't found anything besides BJD clothing that fits my MSDs.

    5. I got some Ellowyne clothes for my MSD girl recently. They're a bit tight but at least it fits.

    6. Keychain shoes... They only have a couple of actual BJD outfits. Stuff I got in swaps or bought at a meetup. I try to make everything I want for my dolls irregardless of skill. After seeing the prices of some of the stuff, it makes me even more determined to try to make it on my own.

    7. I just tore apart a teddy bear to make onesie for my new lati yellow...does that count?

    8. I have keychain shoes, Ellowyne/ Tonner clothes and some random clothes ment for unknown dolls that I have found from fleamarkets.

    9. Whatever fits my girl is what she's going to wear. I like making clothes for her and going out to flea markets to look for doll clothes.

    10. I read that Ken doll items fit Iphehouse KIDs so I bought a few to test out that theory! No pants, just tops. I figure those'll be the easiest to adjust if it turns out that they're too small.

    11. My sd wears some american girl doll clothes and my yosd wears barbie/tammy clothes

    12. My BBB Cookie is dressed solely in Bratz clothing and my DollZone Wendy is dressed in Monster High clothing.

    13. I have a Resinsoul Bei with a lot of Barbie clothes. Some things fit her better than others, but overall it works. :)

    14. My girls wear Friends 2B Made sometimes, and I use people rings as bracelets. When Silly Bandz were the big thing, I bought ring-sized ones and Sakki absolutely loved them. X3

    15. Most of my tinies have non-bjd clothes. I use fashion clothes for them, ken, kelly and Isul shoes (they fit my Soom Metato perfectly).

    16. My Iplehouse EIDs have a lot of altered baby clothes, and some baby shoes that fit. I adore finding tie dye T-shirts and cutting them down, as well as T-shirts with cute logos. I also have cut down American girl T-shirts for my dolls. I have also been known to steal hats from porcelain dolls. I also make doll jeans from human sized jeans, carefully utilizing the faded hems and such for realism.

    17. My Dollfie Dream is currently wearing an American Girl knock off summer outfit (stretchy knit pants and top). I needed something to dress her in, as I have no SD sized clothes, and was pleasantly surprised the outfit fits very well and looks cute.

    18. All of my BJDs wear non BJD clothing except their shoes. Mostly because it's so easy to find and most affordable.

Natsume is wearing some homemade Ken doll clothing I bought from a overseas seller via Ebay but he has allot name brand Ken doll clothes as well a few other fashion doll stuff.
Mayumi is wearing Funville fashion doll brand. I have only had her since May so I am slowly collecting some Barbie doll clothing too but she's skinner then some of the stuff. I am lucky they both fit them to a point though.

    19. Tomomi's T-shirt is from a little teddy bear keychain I bought at Cool Britannia

    20. My dolls have baby socks, and I bought other baby clothing for them (though that needs to be adjusted to fit).

I'm also planning on buying some cute general brand doll clothing I recently spotted in a toy store! When I looked at it I kept thinking "no way I'm buying this doll thing for 10 dollars" but later it totally hit me that BJD specific clothing is even more expensive than that! Since they sell by size (like "made for dolls 30-35cm tall") it should work for the smaller ones! (SDs are too slim to fit regular baby doll clothing of course)
