1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls have any non-BJD clothing?

Jul 7, 2013

    1. I've never seen non-Bjd clothes that fit my SD perfectly so I just stick with regular Bjd clothes

    2. nope but i'm thinking about creating my own clothes

    3. I've been lucky enough to stumble across a few items here and there that work for my girls. Stuff like key chain shoes, little sweaters and hat ornaments from the craft store...etc. Two of my favorite items to dress Lore ( my minifee) in is an old doll scarf I've had since I was a kid ( Idk what doll it came with, think it may have been one of the my scene barbies...), and what I'm assuming is an old Ken jacket that was in my best friend's childhood barbie bin that she let me rummage through. I find a good amount of barbie stuff can work for my littlefee also, just depends on material.

    4. I put my resinsoul bie in barbie dresses. She loves them.

    5. My plasticmoon Mr. Kitty and Pukifee Shiwoo dress in Barbie/Bratz/SparkleGirl clothes cause they're cheap and I'm not worried about screwing up a $2 outfit by modifying it to fit them. My DC k-13 hybrid can fit into Barbie/SparkleGirl shirts because of how narrow her arms and torso are.

    6. My Impldoll Quincy is wearing an outfit that I ought for one of my blythes. She had weird proportions and I haven’t yet found things that work for her

    7. I bought a dress and hat from hobby lobby for my sd nono. The dress was kinda big but it still looked cute.

    8. I have a shirt and dress that are probably for an AG or other similarly sized 18" doll, and I think a vest and long sleeved shirt as well as some other bits and pieces. Some of these I've modified a bit/taken in just so they'll fit a little tighter; others look good with a loose fit so I just leave them as-is.

    9. I haven' thought of looking at build a bear items but some American girl items work. As long as it works who cares! XD

    10. I have clothing items from American Girl Dolls, Build A Bear, preemie baby clothes, keychains (purses! sneakers!) - I use rings as bracelets, ankle bracelets as necklaces. I've gotten antique doll clothes for my tinies, & taken clothes off porcelain dolls as well (although the quality or lack thereof means those are just for dressup for the MSDs mainly). So yeah. I do.

    11. My BJD wears clothes specifically designed to fit her body. Her accessories, however, come from various sources that aren't BJD-related.

    12. This is a great thread. I love being thrifty and repurposing.

BAB is a great option, though the items for the big bears are very wide. They do sell "small fry" bears and have some small clothes that also work for dolls!

    13. I have several modified baby shirts on one of my 72cm bodies as well as baby socks:lol:I also found these adorable Christmas tree decorations that are mini Christmas sweaters that fit my Sharmin and 5 Star Ray and Kathy like a glove!

    14. Back when Friends2BMade still existed, I bought piles of their clothes for my MSDs. My smallest tiny fits Blythe, Licca, Re-Ment, and similar scale outfits as well.

I also repurposed wine bottle covers as dresses. They fit my MSDs!

    15. @saraquill lol I have a few of the wine bottle covers as well, a few of mine even came with the cap cover that should make the perfect hat for my puki :-)

    16. My four MSD boys have the most non-standard clothing. I've found Christmas ornaments that fit them (vest and hat), teddy bear clothing (sweater), wine bottle covers and even a leather jacket from a weird old souvenir.
My SD+ boy is massive so he sometimes gets baby accessories or similar: hats and scarves and mittens fit him well.

    17. My slim minis wear a lot of Ellowyne clothing plus some Teen Trends, Friends2BMade & Tyler Wentworth outfits. Not everything fits perfectly & some Ellowyne & Tyler clothing is too small but I don't use those pieces. My 1/3 dolls have antique doll hats, tiny Victorian pins & stretch rings as bracelets. They all share purses & quite a few of those were lipstick holders, necklace pendants & some vintage ones. The others are Tonner products. Not Doll Lab Lucy wears Kickits clothing perfectly & Soom Aren wears Barbie.

    18. Some of my YoSDs wear Barbie or Ken clothing, depending on their size. I also have some clothes that are for 'regular' kids' dolls but that fit some of my tinies (although they are a bit short).

I have some 11 cm tinies that wear Mattel Kelly clothes and shoes. I love dressing up my PukiPuki and similar size dolls in Kelly/Shelly outfits.

    19. My Pukipuki wears Kelly clothes. My mature 1/6 dolls can wear Barbie-sized clothes. Back when Friends2BMade was a thing, I bought a bunch of clothes for my MSD gang. Those were generally hit-or-miss, though.

And my Dollmore Lusions and Trinities can wear human baby/toddler clothes and shoes. Which is awesome. Because LOTS of choices for a quarter of the cost of doll clothes. :)

    20. I can sometimes get away with using Barbie clothes for my Limhwa Sara doll. She fits!
