1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls have their own clothes?

Jun 24, 2022

    1. Most of my dolls have their own clothes, but that's mostly bc they're all a little different in size. My MSD and near-MSD dolls can sort of share a few things, like shirts and leggings, and my two atelier momoni dolls have a more-or-less communal sack of barbie clothes... but on the whole, what fits one doll like a glove doesn't fit any of the others at all. I have three dolls that can share tiny wigs, but in practice they all need different styles and don't.

They do sometimes share eyes, though. It's a little tricky - I have several dolls that take 14mm, one that takes 10-12, one that takes 10, two that take 8mm normal iris and one that takes 8mm small iris - but they can swap a little. Which means I have a communal "jar of eyeballs". It freaks out my sister.

    2. Most of my dolls share their clothes. I usually buy them specificaly for one character, and end up putting it on others too. I have three piles, one for steampunk characters, one for my yokai (that are in the steampunk univers too, but seldomly wear steampunk outfits) and one for the cyberpunk ones.
I do have some dolls with very particular proportions that can't shared their outfits though. Like my Miracledoll Miao on Maoyou body. But they are the exception.

    3. I separate the clothes by size and within that size they do share until I find something that fits that doll’s character specifically and then that outfit is only theirs.
