Do your dolls share clothes or ...?

Some do and some don't-- it depends on the article but also on the dolls themselves, and what overlap there is in what they fit.

Right now, Deanna's temporarily stealing Jack's shirt and wearing it as a dress, and there are certain articles of clothing she can steal from my slim and standard minis, despite not being remotely the same proportions as anyone else.

Marigold can wear shirts that I originally bought for Billy, as well as being able to wear tops (or dresses-as-tops) that fit some of my off-topics.


In keeping track of what outfits/pieces I want for which dolls and planned dolls, I make note of who will be able to share them.

 

I generally have one or two outfits for each doll, and a pile of odds and ends that can be worn by any of them (new arrivals usually get something from that pile until I can dress them properly). Each size of clothing has a storage box so I don't have to go looking too far to dress a new doll. One of my dolls is spoiled and has his own storage box of clothing.

 

In a 'hand-me-down' kind of way, absolutely! If it fits, they swap and exchange wardrobes all the time. Also, if they're an item (a couple), then it's even cuter when one wears the other's sweater or jacket. At least, I think there's an additional level of cuteness, when they share clothes in that sense.

It certainly saves on money and space!

 

They all share clothes, if their styles allow it. Even girls share with boys and vice versa. However, there are especific outfits for a certain doll only.

 

Yep on sharing here. If it's in the house and fits on the doll, it's fair game. No one here gets an exclusive wardrobe.

 

They all have their own clothes, although I didn’t mean for it to be that way, that’s just sort of how it turned out. I bought a bunch of clothes intending for dolls of the same scale to share them all, but some labels/styles fit one much better than the others, so over time those clothes became ‘theirs’ in a way.

 

All of mine share, because I get bored keeping them in the same outfit all the time, and change their clothes often. Well, except for one of my dolls, because she has a very specific style, and I don’t own anything else that would work for her, at the moment.

 

Only two of my MSDs share clothes because they have a similar style. All my SDs have their own things. They all do share accessories/shoes/wigs though!

 

Depends on the outfit and what size I ordered it in. Everyone has at least one outfit that's strictly theirs, and a couple of things can get passed between one or two dolls. I don't really do much mixing and matching either.

 

At the moment, no one shares because I only have one of each size! That being said, all my dolls are very standard sized, so if I get more than one of the same size they will share. At the moment I've mostly been buying clothes that I like as individual pieces. My dolls don't have enough concrete personalities to have dedicated 'styles' and I intend to avoid buying dolls in order to create 'the lolita one, the goth one, the pastel one' etc.

 

My dolls share their clothes, but some of them have certain styles where they each have their own custom outfit! I often like to mix and match my sd17 boy's clothes since they are they share the same body. Both of my 1/3 girls also share a body but have completely different styles. There are a couple of things that they do share.

 

My doll crews do sometimes. Like jeans and shoes. But not really much on clothes. Because each has their own personality, so their clothings and style also differs

 

I don't have my second doll yet, but it's hard to imagine them sharing clothes. One is more flashy and likes to show more skin, while the other loves his soft, oversized sweaters. I suppose the jeans could be swaed back and forth since they're just the usual colors and nothing fancy, but the shirts and coats will (I think) have a clear split LOL.

 

I do have a pile of shared clothing so I can dress dolls when they arrive until I figure out what they will wear. Once they "claim" an outfit, it is rarely used by my other dolls.

 

It's hard for my dolls to share in the first place, they're all different sizes. ^^;

Also, I kinda pick out their outfits and never really change them. So not a lot of swapping around. When I like the outfit, I generally stick with it without too much change.

 

They usually share clothes and accessories, but when I have an outfit that is "linked" to a certain doll or character, I won't use it on the others.

 

They mostly share but there are specific pieces that belong a certain doll. Usually when I shop I have a certain doll in mind for the outfit.

 

Yes, and that's so cute imo That's why I have them all in the same size I love how a particular piece can look differently on each doll

 

My boys do share cloths most of the time. But I have two boys that will not wear anything else but their own style. One boy will only wear all black and the other will only wear black and white. Other boys, they don't care at all. So I am trying to build a wardrobe that will goes well with all boys, even the picky ones.

 

I only have the one MSD, but when I get more, they’ll probably share clothes because I’m broke
