1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do your dolls share clothes or ...?

Oct 21, 2021

    1. I would love to be able to share clothes but unfortunately they both will not be the same size 1/4 and then the Ringdoll will be 1/3.

    2. Unfortunately I have to many that are just slightly different in size that sharing clothes is not possible. A couple can share unisex items as they are twins, one male and one female. But shoes are the only items that can be truly shared. But I don't mind as shoes tend to be expensive.

    3. Yes, I have 2 msd girls from luts and they share clothes even they have different body shape, also my sd girl and the dds they share clothes too

If the clothes like pants (bottom) fit, they would share them

    4. At this point, pretty much every new doll I've received in the past 18 month got to use the same black skirt while waiting for me to decide what they should wear.
Even aside from that, any doll that doesn't have a fixed outfit will share some elements with the rest (jeans and shorts and some tops are shared)

    5. They share when possible. Some need an outfit that's specific to them, or they have a certain color scheme/style, but most of them get to share as long as their size is similar. Of course, this was a lot easier when I only had SD/SD13 size boys lmao

    6. I have two dolls from almost every size, Pukifee to SD. My SDโ€™s are the only ones that do share clothes. The other dolls either have wildly varied styles or measurements, and some have more clothes than others!

    7. So far I only have one whole outfit for each doll, but I do have extra pieces, and occasionally I will change a shirt or pants. I do have warm jackets I add to my dolls during winter months.

    8. My dolls have a few of their own personal items for only them, but they also share with each other.

    9. They are all SDs but in 3 different sizes (62, 75 and 80 cm), so it is not easy. I wish they could swap clothes, it would have been less expensive to build them a wardrobe. But if an outfit don't fit the doll I ordered it for, one or the other may still be able to wear it, so I don't have to worry so much about fitting. :-P

    10. All of my dolls have their own style but I'm not above they sharing. I'm glad you started this conversation because I'm wondering where I might be able to find some sort of source on what dolls can swap clothes with other dolls of a different Artists.

    11. My dolls normally share clothes, though I have some dolls that have clothes specific to them that only they wear. When they do swap clothes it tends to go well for them. For Halloween I put one of my girls who only wears dresses into little overalls and then put her boyfriend into a dress and it was a super cute deconstruction of their gender presentation. The boys and girls tend to not be able to share clothes because of their sizes, but thankfully Soom boys are super tiny compared to Luts KDFs. He wound up wearing a Dollmore shirt that went down far enough to cover his boxers as well as a pair of minifee stockings. Truly the littlest of my MSDs.

    12. My girls definitely share clothes. I like to buy sets in multiple colorways so that they can match, just with alternate color schemes. My recent tiny also wears similar outfits, just smaller, so she can borrow some accessories. Maybe it looks a little same-y, but I love how my little doll family all matches with one another. It also saves a bit of money since they can share clothing components, hahah.

    13. For the most part yes they do. I have a few dolls that were purchased as full sets and I have yet to put their clothes on any other doll. I am not opposed to it, I just have not thus far.
All other outifts, shoes, accessories are fair game though.

    14. A few of my msd & yosd share "basics" like jeans or plain colored tops but each of them also have a piece or two that's only theirs. My tinies usually don't because of the drastic difference in their styles (& my tiniest girl shares with no one, yet has the biggest wardrobe lol)

My sd crew doesn't share rn bc I have one 58cm girl (with a small collection of dresses) ...but several 60+ cm boys - who have between them one pair of pants bc my hobby hiatus happened before I got down to deciding styles/buying anything. Hopefully will be remedying that problem over the next few months, then the boys will prob share basics like my yos do.

    15. All my dolls have very different body measurements and don't fit each others clothing. They are all based on mine and my friends characters, and all have their own unique styles. So even if they could share clothes, clothing from one doll wouldn't suit the personality of a different doll.

    16. My dolls share clothes too. Especially if their sizes are similar. Like you said, it's too expensive to buy clothes for each doll :sweat

    17. I guess they could? But I mostly just keep everybody in one outfit so there's not much to share!

    18. Yes and I'm hoping it stays that way mostly. None of my dolls have a set outfit or look quite yet but they are all going to be in the fantasy theme, so I'm hoping to make a lot of different outfits and pieces that could basically be mixed and matched between them to create a whole huge wardrobe of choices for my dolls!

    19. I have some neutral clothes they can share, and some pieces of clothing that are exclusive for each one of them.

    20. I have three 1/3 dolls -- a boy, a shorter girly girl, and a taller tomboy girl. I've styled each of them differently, and their body dimensions are quite different from each other, so right now they have almost exclusive wardrobes. When I shop for BJD clothes I prefer to look for specific clothes that suit each doll's wardrobe. Full outfit sets tend to belong to one doll and they alone get to wear the whole outfit, although I might occasionally give isolated parts to others. Casuals/separates are often exclusive too, but sometimes shared. When I get more dolls I expect them to share more, but each one will still have some clothes that just belong to them.
