~*~Do Your Dolls Share Clothes?~*~

Jan 21, 2011

    1. My bigger dolls share the clothes and shoes all the time. Actually, Raoul shamelessly takes away sheikh's clothes! This is not the usual "mix and match" approach, I should say, it's just Raoul... But having several dolls in the nearly same size is a great help to your wallet.

    2. Yah all my boys and girls swap clothing and shoes constantly. Especially the ones with simliar tastes...my one boy Aya and his cousin Ally often share dresses and shoes. Some of my boys often steal my first boy Nicky's clothing all the time.

    3. It depends on the doll and the clothes for me. I have 4 SD boys that, size-wise, can share clothes. However, they have very different styles. Blake is a coffee-shop manager/acoustic guitar play with a very casual/laid back style, Mike is very goth, Loki is punk/skater and Axl is 80's rocker. About the only things they'll share are black converse, black tshirts/tank tops and jeans, but all wear it differently.

I have 4 MSD boys who all work for the same organization, so they share business suits. Each has their own, they just switch off. Then there is Sixx...who is artistic/goth/glam/weird....and nobody wants to wear most of his stuff. LOL

Basically, everybody has their own stuff. Some just let others "borrow" things.

    4. While some pieces are for one doll only, most of mine share. If they don't it's usually a fit issue. While they each have their own sense of style, I find that by mixing and matching I can use a lot of my doll clothes in very different ways.

    5. One of the reasons I want to stick to SD's from now on is because they can share most outfits, wigs and shoes. There are a few outfits that only suit one particular doll, but in the main it's mix and match all the way :)

    6. Ah yes, 3 of my dolls are almost in the same size, so they can borrow others' outfits & stuffs. Even with 1 girl & 2 boys at home, the 3 of them like to borrow & cross dress, haha... XD~

    7. Most of my dolls share clothes but not all. (Well, Scout couldn't share clothes with anyone even if I wanted her to seeing as how she's a Pukifee and everyone else is MSD sized! haha)
Quinn doesn't share clothes with the girls as he's perfectly happy with his suit and their clothes are too bright and girly for him. xP
Jasper and Jehn, however, share pretty much all of their wardrobe. There are some items I have made or bought specifically for one of them but even then sometimes the other one will end up nabbing it at some point. I think I prefer it that way because it means that the two of them have the biggest wardrobe and they can mix and match as they please. :3

    8. Hahaha yup, all my kids share clothing. They're all MSDs so I guess it kinda makes things convenient and easier on the wallet :P

    9. All my dolls share cloths and shoes , if they are the same size doll. I have 3 sized doll.

    10. Even though I only have one doll, I would have her share clothes with any other similar sized dolls I'd have. Sharing is caring!

    11. If I had two or more dolls I would definately share clothes. But I have many different styles of clothes, eyes and wigs. I change Karma style all the time.

    12. Since all my dolls have different sizes (SD, tiny and a Yo-SD will arrive soon) and my friends have even more diffent sizes at home (MSD and Hound), they're unable to share clothes.
My Yo-SD will probably fit the MDS's wigs, though. The MSD's head is very tiny... So who knows^^

    13. Sometimes they share, and sometimes they don't. It depends on their characters, and sometimes certain outfits will only fit one character, other times an outfit can be used for several dolls. I prefer the latter, since it's cheaper, but I try to make sure every doll has at least one outfit that's their own.

    14. I don't have a second doll yet (and won't for many many years) but after I get my girl her twin they will definitely share clothes, shoes, wigs, eyes, pretty much everything except boxes

EDIT (9/01/15): actually I'm not so sure now if they'll share clothes. The other day I was looking at some clothes and saw an outfit that I wanted for one of Nadeko's sisters but not necessarily for Nadeko.
I'm sure that any dolls I get in the SD10/13 size will most likely share shoes, wigs, props (maybe eyes too if for some reason I feel like changing them) but I'm not too sure about clothes anymore. They might share some basic stuff like shirts, bloomers, petticoats, socks, and if I haven't bought them any clothes specifically for them by the time that they arrive it they would probably borrow an outfit from another doll but I feel as if, for the most part, they would each have their own wardrobe and while there might be the possibility that they share clothes sometimes, they wouldn't do it regularly...if that makes any sense.

    15. When I had two minis they shared clothes. When I get the other minis I want (a Minisupia and a JID) they will share clothes where they can. For now it's just my one girl, so she gets all the clothes to herself. But not for long. However, I do plan for some pieces to be doll specific. I'm not quite there yet though.

    16. My dolls all basically have their own things, occasionally someone might bridge the gap and steal something. However each character has a pretty distinct style so it's just simpler if they have their own wardrobes. It helps that they're all different sizes.

    17. Not all of them do, but Nowe and Eien trade around clothes all the time~ xD it should be noted that as far as characters go they're brothers though....

    18. Well, Pete can sometimes steal-- I mean, borrow-- from Vince, though not the other way around, which is not too strange since Vince is your average MSD and Pete is a slim mini, but Vince actually has one outfit that Billy, my Littlefee, could wear (though the shorts would be long and loose)! Billy has a different sense of style, though (and... normally dresses like a dinosaur anyway), so for once, Vince's wardrobe is safe.

    19. My dolls have things that are specifically theirs, although Tyler and Michael swap clothes a lot. They're fraternal twin brothers and exactly the same size, so it's easier for them to share clothes and shoes.

    20. My dolls share clothing, that way I can get clothes for every one at the same time.
