1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does anyone have more than one doll with the same name?

Mar 24, 2016

    1. I make a point of trying to give all my dolls individual names. But I do have two dolls that are both sort of named after Lord Byron. Geordie Byron Gordon my Saint, and my Alba a RS Ju who was named the feminine version of Byron's nickname. At the moment that doll head is off her body and I'm seriously thinking of re-shelling that character to a doll I like better than RS Ju. I love the name and the character but it's not fitting her so much.

    2. Well... so far I haven't run into any problems with name-doubling, but I can see myself wanting dolls to represent certain characters at different ages, in which case they would have the same name. And maaaybe I could see myself reusing a name that I'd previously used for an off-topic doll/animal/figure, depending. But I think for me the most likely reason would be wanting, say, child and adult versions of the same character, or 'real world' and 'fantasy' versions, in the case of my floating head (not that it's likely at this rate, since he doesn't even have a body...)

    3. All my BJD' (so far) have different names from each other, but there are duplications of names across my dolls as a whole (I have loads of different types of off-topic/nonBJD dolls), although most of them have different contractions of a shared longer name - Eizabeth could be Lizzy, Beth, Elsbeth etc. and in one instance one is "Rebecca" and another "Becca".

    4. I won't reuse a name for different dolls. Actually, I'm picky when it comes to doll names. I won't use a name someone I know has used for one of their dolls, kids, pets, ect. I won't use a name if I know a person by that name. SHOOT!!! You Say your Brother's cousin's Sister's Cat's name is *Insert name here* I better not use that name. I'm SUPER picky. Which I guess is why all my dolls have weird off the wall names lol.

    5. Most of my dolls have original names, some kept their sculpt names, and a couple are forever nameless. But no two have exactly the same name. Well, my Unoa dolls have multiple face plates with the same name, but it's the same character so it doesn't count :P

    6. I will have two soon, but they are adult and kid version of the same character
