1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does your doll wear shoes?

Jul 10, 2014

    1. All of my dolls wear shoes! Except one, who is still waiting for a shoe.
Somehow I feel like they need to wear one lol but all of them wear socks!

    2. None of my dolls wear shoes at the moment. But I would like for that to change?

Elin can't wear shoes, because deer. Dita and Takeo don't have shoes yet, because I have yet to find any styles that suit them. Rikka, my first boy, has two pairs of shoes, but I don't like to keep them on him for long periods of time because I worry that they'll stain feet, and the only socks he has are black...

    3. I have 3 pairs of shoes for my girl, but I don't tend to put them on her much because I put her in the bed she's got at night and they can be a bit of a pain to get on and off all the time. She tends to just wear her socks unless I'm taking photos of her.

    4. Yes! I love shoes are super cute

    5. My Minis wear shoes most of the time, but my two tinies are always barefoot! It's a combination of only having 2-3 pairs of shoes for them and I also love their tiny little feets! They're fairies. It's not like they care for shoes anyway!

    6. I have yet to buy a pair of shoes for my doll(s). I have considered it for my Resinsoul girl because I don't really like seeing her ankle joint, but I've yet to find an already-made shoe that would fit her odd foot and am sill reluctant to commission someone to make shoes for her. I can imagine her in cute little white boots, though!

    7. Right now my girl isn't wearing shoes. For me, it depends on the outfit though.

    8. My doll currently doesn't wear shoes, after all, his little DC feet are so pretty, I'd hate to cover them up. However... the only article of clothing he has is a black turtleneck, so he looks fine barefoot. If he had a more complete wardrobe, he might look weird without shoes and if I took him outside for pictures, I'd probably want shoes to keep his feet clean.

So I guess if anyone knows what shoes fit Doll Chateau kid bodies, please let met know X)

    9. My girl doesn't own shoes yet but I'd like to have some, my boy owns a pair but they don't necessarily suit his character now (I think he'll be needing some sort of boots). But they will wear shoes sometimes, just not all of the time if the shoes are dark just in case they leave stains.

    10. The only reason my dolls don't wear shoes is because the only one that has shoes they are a pain in the ass to take on and off so I just leave them off. The other two dolls I have don't even have shoes. If they were easy to put on and take off I would keep shoes one them.

    11. I agree with what many have already said; with a complete outfit a doll without shoes can look weird.

I've found that I as a whole have difficulty finding shoes that I enjoy. Sometimes I think that many unfortunately look unproportional to the body.

    12. None of mine do, usually, as their species of fairy need to use their feet for sense and balance. They are as shoeless as Hobbits.
I did, though, make a pair of felt pointy tip slippers for the baby, and I'll make felt boots for another doll, to match her new dress. I'm thinking that maybe they wear shoes indoors or underage or in certain cases... I guess I'm leaning more and more toward shoes even though I've always thought otherwise... ^^

    13. Some of my crew are all about their heels, or their boots or their sneakers... Others? Not so much. It really just depends on the individual doll, and what I'm going for with them. (The ones who go around shoeless typically wear socks instead, but there are a few odd-balls with completely bare feet. Scribe, my DC Dolores, for instance. I just love his little jointed toes too much to cover them up. XD)

I do have one "problem child" shoe-wise. I'd love to put some of the cute little heels I have on my Saki... but there's not one single pair in this house that fit her!

    14. If I have shoes that match the clothes - yes! But if not, usually I leave them barefoot :)

    15. Actually, only 2 out of my 4 bjds wear shoes... xDD Only Momo and Felix, and I think it'll stay like that for some time until I can get some more money (hurhurhurhur)

    16. My dolls character absolutely hates shoes because she's blind and uses her feet to guide her through the forest where she lives. Her feet are basically her eyes.

    17. I have a tiny little OT doll with homemade shoes--that won't stay on. I like to joke that clearly she just wants to go barefoot all the time.

    18. I like to dress my dolls depending on the weather, so during the whole summer most of them were very lightly dressed and most were barefoot. As it starts to get colder, though, They're all returning to their bundled up looks and are all wearing shoes. (Except for my EID, who I havent found any shoes that fit his measurements yet) :pout:

    19. Nope, my dolls are of the earth so their feet should always be in contact with mother earth

    20. Depends on the doll, and whether or not they have shoes that only belong to them. If I have a few dolls that share shoes, they usually won't wear any if they're just sitting around, because it makes it easier to get a doll dressed up for a shoot or a meetup if the shoes that match their outfit aren't currently on someone else :p

I have exactly three dolls that are always wearing shoes, and in each case it's because the shoes are specifically theirs and I don't want to lose them or have them end up on a different doll.
