It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does your doll wear shoes?

Jul 10, 2014

    1. I have at least 4 pairs for each of my (40) dolls - heels, flats, summer sandals & boots for the girls; dress, casual, trainers & boots for the boys. LOTS of shoes.

    2. Nope! Don't own a single pair of shoes, it's mostly because I can't be bothered to go to the trouble of buying some.

    3. Not yet... since I don't have any for her at the moment.
Once I do though she'll wear shoes at least some of the time. ...I've got some I'm eyeing, just don't have the spare money for them yet.

    4. I have them wearing shoes. I feel like their outfits aren't complete without cute little shoes! :D

    5. Haha it depends on the outfit, but most of the time yes. Now that I am talking about this...I feel that I have lack shoes for my dolls.... haha

    6. Haha! I feel like that too. But I am lacking in the shoes. I think I have about 7 pairs? But I did just start. So maybe thats a lot for a newbie?

    7. @KittyKittyClaudia wow that's a decent amount for a newbie. XD I also have 2 MDD and they only have 5 (2 look kind of out there since it was part of their original outfits).

    8. Hahaha! As I was counting I realized that that might actually be a good amount for just starting. I got carried away for awhile buying clothes and shoes. Hahaha! I don't really count my DD Miku's boots because I rarely have her in her original outfit.

    9. Yeah, so by technicality, I have 8 pairs? :XD:

    10. I have three pairs of shoes for my AOD Zi Yuan, but my Bobobie Ai has hooves so she doesn't need any. I've already ordered shoes for the dolls I recently ordered, except for my DC Alberta since I think she would look strange with shoes...

    11. Unfortunately, none of my dolls have shoes. :sigh I bought two pairs when I ordered my first doll, but they ended up being far too big! They fit my boy dolls fine, strangely enough, but they dress a bit too stereo-typically masculine for any of the heels to go with their outfits...

Aside from those pairs, one of my secondhand boys came with shoes but I found that they really stained his feet within the first two minutes of wearing them while sockless! Luckily they were removed with some scrubbing, but I haven't dared try them again, and it really was my fault for not adding more layers in my excitement. I'm hoping that I can buy more in the future, but other outfit pieces are just so much more fun! I definitely envy people who can manage to buy dozens of pairs.

    12. mine wear shoes shoes more than i do

    13. the only one of my dolls that doesn't wear shoes is my satyr boy because... well, he can't wear any!

I don't really consider an outfit complete without shoes on my kids. I don't find them any more difficult to shop for then other clothes and there's so many cute ones! my one not wears metallic gold high tops. they're just freakin adorable!

    14. Gabrys came with boots, but levering them on over his enormous feet (and then taking them off again *sob*) was a nightmare so he sits around in Milos's socks while I work on some princely slippers for him.

I haven't bought any more yet, because aside from the fact that Gabrys's feet are huge and it's hard to find suitably-size and in-character ones for him, and Milos's feet are small enough it's hard to find shoes that fit him too, shoes are so damn expensive! I know why they are, but it's a little galling that a pair of sneakers for Milos will cost more than my own did and he also needs some work shoes, which will be more expensive... I'll bite the bullet eventually, when I find a pair that fit both widthways and lengthways, but euuugh. Gabrys will probably end up with a good stock of homemade ones. Damn fantasy prince.

    15. Hahaha! It's like mine! They also wear heels more than I do too.

    16. I do own shoes for all of my dolls, but most of the time they're just chilling with no shoes and no wig! I just can't be bothered with either of those if I'm not taking pictures or taking them out.

    17. Nah, he adores being barefoot.

That's what I keep telling myself until I can buy him a pair.

    18. I have one girl who is an outdoor elf-imp type with giant feet, and I don't have anything that would fit her, nor do I think it suits her to wear them. Otherwise, they tend to wear shoes, though I greatly dislike wearing shoes and socks so it strikes me as funny that I want (almost) all of my dolls to have shoes.

    19. Sometimes. Though there are times when the look I'm going for doesn't require shoes, or I don't have any that work with the outfit, or I want to annoy someone at my meetup group (lack of shoes and fur wigs drive him absolutely crazy about my dolls....) Funny thing is, they have more shoes and wear said shoes more than I do. It's near impossible for me to wear shoes; in fact, I will gladly wear zoris up until the first snowfall.
