1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does your doll wear shoes?

Jul 10, 2014

    1. It's funny, earlier in this post I said I had mine wearing shoes. Now I have them shoeless. Haha!

    2. Yes, I still put her shoes on even at home, but I'll try to buy or make her slippers so it'll be more comfy :whee:

    3. I'd love to have some doll shoes but currently I own none. I'm not even sure what kind of shoes I want my dolls to wear. Maybe some kind of heels but for that, I'd need to buy heel feet parts. I guess my girls will be shoeless for a while more.. :XD:

    4. All of my dolls have shoes but whether they wear them or not is a different matter. A few of my crew are just difficult to put them on so they tend to go without. Seraphine just wears socks most of the time instead.

    5. Yes ! I've got a fetish for miniature shoes, sometimes, it's what one of the first aspect i'm looking for before having the outfit of the doll.

    6. Mine stays barefoot, but I would love to get her a pair of stockings and shoes for outside pictures.

    7. Yep, they always have shoes on, except for my one big SD17 boy, he has big bird feet and can't wear them. ^^

    8. I haven't bought shoes for my YOSD yet, I keep worrying I'm gonna order the wrong size by accident. I did get a couple pairs for the doll I have coming in though.

    9. I love doll shoes and have a growing collection, so yes my dolls do often wear shoes. If they don't have shoes on I usually put them in some wool socks. I freeze easily myself so I guess that's the reason I like to avoid bare doll feet as well, especially in the winter (call me crazy:lol:) The one exception is Florayan, my mnf Juri13. She prefers bare feet at all times. She is a forest elf after all:)

    10. some of them do, of course, but around the half.
The goth ones must for me, but I like others more without shoes, like my mold Stacey

    11. Depends on the doll for me, Arwen is an elf and absolutely refuses to wear shoes, but Oliver really loves cute, long boots. I think, depending on the character I'm shelling, shoes are the finishing aspect, they may be the last thing I get for my dolls, but some just aren't complete without them, while others won't ever wear them, or may only wear them half the time.

    12. If my dolls are in modern-day clothing, then yes, they are perpetually shod. Fantasy outfits can vary depending on what they are, but in general I adore shoes. They can add so much to an outfit. The dolls don't really look dressed to me without something on their feet.

    13. I like mine to have shoes, because 1) shoes are cute, and 2) I like their feet to have protection when I take them outside for photos. But at home they generally go barefoot (or in socks). It's a combination of what's easier for trying stuff on when I'm sewing for them, and the fact that the floor of my current room is tatami--which, traditionally, you don't wear shoes on, so I make my dolls follow the custom too. :XD:

    14. I posted on this page once before, but i have found the perfect bjd shoes for those who dislike shoes as they look unrealistic...Try www.ttyadoll.com They have incredible shoes, very realistic.

    15. Nathan is always barefoot, Noctane has hooves, Byron has riding boots and The Silent Lady (yet unnamed still after nearly two years, poor thing) is currently barefoot.

    16. When I get my first bjd, i'll probably have her barefoot most of the time. I just feel that if you're wearing a long, flowy dress then it doesn't matter if you have shoes on. Besides I like to be barefoot most of the time anyway!:mwahaha

And she might be a nature-loving nymph character.:chibi

    17. Hello! As for me, my boys all wear shoes :P I like seeing my boys ready to be pictured everyday..

    18. I can't deal with my dolls being bare foot! Whenever I have to leave them for any significant period of time (going back to uni, on holiday, etc) I always have to make sure they have shoes on before I leave - no idea why! Or at least socks, but that's only when I have no matching shoes/shoes that fit.

Though I guess if I had a fantasy character like an elf or something bare foot would be cool... I don't know XD

    19. Yeah my doll and my future dolls wear and will wear shoes. Thats how theyr outfit will be complete and more 'natural' and realistic in my opinion.:)

    20. no. I'm of asian heritage and I don't wear shoes at home normally, so neither do my dolls.
