1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does your doll wear shoes?

Jul 10, 2014

    1. My only girl doesn't have shoes now and probably never will. For a goddess, I find shoes to be very restricting and human

    2. All of my dolls wear shoes except for my Soom Teenie Gem Necy who has pawed feet. I'm never satisfied that my doll is complete unless it has shoes. It's probably because I never go around bare foot myself in the house (I'm always wearing either shoes or slippers) I had a bad verruca when I was a child that I got while visting the public swimming pool and it took years to clear. Arghh!!! :eek:So yes I don't like the thought of walking around with bare tootsies and i'm probably sub-consciously passing on that idea to my dolls lol.

    3. Interesting question, all my bjd's wear shoes, I feel there feet would get cold if I didn't, that's really human of me, hehe, they are like part of the family. I even have slippers for them. :3nodding:

    4. My dolls wear shoes 99% percent of the time. I think it makes them look complete.

    5. I have only one doll who regularly wears shoes, out of a collection of eight or ten (I can't keep track, OK?) I'm usually pretty excited when I get a doll the right wig and eyes, so by the time they've got their outfit and faceup as well, I'm like "shoes? Whatever. Go barefoot."

    6. I don't have any dolls yet, but I have two characters, at least, that I want to shell and plans to get a Mei just because I love her sculpt. One of the two characters is going to go part time with shoes and part time without as that is just her. The other character will wear shoes all the time. Mei will be constantly shoeless. No consistency with my characters! :XD:

    7. My poor doll doesn't even have a pair of shoes, I can't seem to find any I like for her gigantic feet, but I might try my hand at making her some. She needs them IMO. :)

    8. My dolls don't feel complete without shoes.

    9. All of my girls wear shoes, mainly to finish their outfits, and i think dolly shoes are super cute in general

    10. As of yet none of my dolls have shoes, I always think about possibly getting them shoes but like I hate to wear shoes so I suppose I project that onto my dolls.

    11. I have one pair of shoes so far, but they are huge and so expensive! I'm hoping I can make some myself to get the perfect design and also save some money.

    12. All of my human sculpts wear shoes. As for my elf sculpts it depends on the character.

    13. I'd say both? I do not own a full doll yet, only heads but I bought her shoes as well. Even though she's gonna be an elf girl and in my imagination elves rarely ever wear shoes so they can be "closer to nature" but I'd say both. She will be barefeet most times at home though :)

    14. both! Sometimes they wear shoes, other times they might not want too. (;

    15. I usually consider shoes to be necessary for having a complete outfit, yes. If we are wearing clothes, we are wearing shoes.

    16. Haha of course I will prepare the shoes for dolls, especially when I take them outside...but I only bought the basic shoes with the cheap price...

    17. My dolls wear shoes! Only when their going to outside, though. I think little doll shoes are adorable and I think it really completes an outfit.

    18. I have several pairs of shoes for my dolls but usally when their just sitting around they're either on socks or barefooted but sometimes i might leave them in a whole outfit if i feel like dressing them

    19. I would like to get some shoes for my dolls but its so hard for me to justify buying them as often, I could but shoes for myself for the same price.

    20. Neither of my boys wear shoes. It's partially because shoes are expensive and partially because I think they look cute barefoot. It's like they're just relaxing at home and being all comfy!
