      Doll Factory Devil Bobo

      * When did you order?
      26/12/2018

      * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer?
      Doll Factory are distributing the now non existant Doll Factory.

      * How was the communication?
      They replied quickly through our back and forths. It was what they were saying that had me convinced I was being ripped off.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Payment through paypal which was easy - but they also didn't send proper layaway invoices. Not a deal breaker because other companies also don't do this, but coupled with how they handled my sale added to the negative experience.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Once I had paid they shipped within the week.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      N/A Doll Factory isnt being reviewed here, Dolk is.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?

      Yes

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      The doll is cute and arrived in great condition.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      Initially interaction with this company was fantastic. I ordered my doll and then life stuff happened and I couldn't pay until January. DOLK was cool with this. They sent me an initial invoice that said how to pay and how to pay via layaway.

      Come January I sent 50% of the payment via paypal as per their layaway instructions, so I could pay the remainder in February. Dolk did not accept this payment. They sent me an email saying sorry they do not accept layaway for this item. I pointed out that was nowhere on their site or the doll listing, but if that is the case to please refund my money.

      At this point they accepted my payment but said if someone else buys this doll in the mean time they will sell to them first.

      At this point everything is starting to smell fishy so I responded they can either accept my payment and hold the doll for me, as that is what a layaway is, or they can refund my money now and they can put the doll back up for sale.

      They responded that they were sorry, and would ask Japan to hold the doll for me.

      The whole encounter had me doubting that when I paid the remainder in feb I was going to get my doll.

      My doll did arrive safely but I'm not sure I would order from them again. The way customer service handled this sale makes me weary and I felt at the time they couldn't be trusted to not rip me off.

      But yes they did send the doll in the end, so this time the outcome was good.

      2019 Lucky Bag B - $150

      * When did you order?

      February 2019

      * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer?
      It was a Dolk event item, so to speak so it was direct through them.

      * How was the communication?
      Quick, but not good. I was sent a picture of the contents my lucky bag. When I told them I didn't know what the picture was because I ordered a lucky bag, they apologized and said my order would be shipped right away. They then sent me the same items in the photo, which completely ruined the experience for me. I was highly disappointed with knowing what was supposed to be in my surprise lucky bag.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy with Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      It was within a week

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      I paid $150 and got about $200 worth of items, as price by them. It was all 70cm clothing in my lot, and most of it seems good quality, I think

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      There should not have been sales pictures.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      If I had not known what I was getting, I probably would have been alright with it.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      I requested a refund or a new bag, and they "sincerely apologized" for the mistake. So it looks like I won't be getting either.

      Possibly, if it weren't a lucky bag.

      * How was the communication? Fantastic initially. Then silence when I asked a few questions.
      * How easy was it to pay? Easily through paypal sent to their email.
      * How long did it take to ship? They said they posted 15th April.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? N/A

      They did not. Was given the silent treatment. I asked paypal for assistance. They investigated.

      Ordered through Dolk, which is a dealer/distributor

      * How was the communication?
      Fine at first, but then I had to contact *them* when there was an issue, and I am *still* trying to solve a problem with them (it is July 8 2019 now)

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easy-- through Paypal

      * How long did it take to ship?
      About 6 weeks-- I suppose they ordered from the companies, needed it shipped to them, then shipped to me, so shipping was longer than I expected for "in-stock" items.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes, quality was fine

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      The product, yes. The service, no.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      I am still dealing with the company to solve my problem.
      I ordered a mix of clothes and wigs in April, a total of 9 items. Right away, Dolk contacted me to say that 1 of the items was out of stock, and should they proceed with the order. I said yes, 1 item out of stock happens, it's fine.

      Right before shipping my order, Dolk showed me a picture of the items I ordered, to confirm that this is what I ordered. There was another item in that order that apparently had been out of stock as well, so Dolk was shipping just 7 items to me. Again, 2 items out of stock is a bummer but not deal breaker. So I confirmed my order and had Dolk ship my 7 items. The items are fine.

      I inquired about a refund for the 2 items that I paid for that ended up being out of stock. Dolk ignored my inquiry through the website form, so a week later, I sent them an email inquiring about a refund. The reply I got was that Dolk was processing the refund and I would get a screenshot when it was complete. It has been 2 weeks since Dolk said that, and there has been no refund issued.

      I paid through Paypal, so issuing a refund is as easy as clicking a button. I have emailed them again, reminding them that it has been 2 weeks. I am waiting for a reply, and will edit this post when I get one.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS.
      If an item is out of stock and can't be shipped, that's one thing. But to hold onto that money and wait for the customer to ask about a refund (instead of refunding it automatically), and then to draw out the process like this? Unacceptable. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. :(

      N/A the items I bought were from other companies anyway, but distributed through Dolk

      **UPDATE**
      I finally got the refund in my Paypal on July 12 2019. They would not have given me my money back, had I not pursued the refund. They would have just kept it. Unacceptable.

      How was the communication?
      A bit slow, it took them almost a week to inform me that one of my items was limited and sold out and I needed to choose a replacement.
      How easy was it to pay?
      Easy enough, paypal invoices everymonth
      How long did it take to ship?
      about 2 months after my layaway (8 months) for the doll and wig (touch on that later) clothes in about 3 months
      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Doll was beautiful! Ended up not being my aesthetic, but I'm glad she went to a great new home.

      I suppose yes, however when my doll was ready to ship, about 4 months into my 6 month layaway, I chose to continue my layaway instead of pay it off then. So when I finished my layaway imagine my surprise when it took almost a month to hear from them out the doll being ready for shipment and just needing confirmation the order looks good in the photos and is ready to ship. But after confirming the order was correct, still nothing for another month. Contacted them myself and I guess their rep forgot to ask me to confirm my shipping address as well so the doll was just sitting in limbo for a while. Once I confirmed that as well the doll shipping and arrived about a week later. Communication was stunted at best, and the automated papal invoice was probably the most organized thing about this transaction.

    6. * What did you order? An in-stock wig

      * When did you order? 7/27/19

      * How was the communication? It was ok. After ordering, they emailed me a day later asking me to confirm my shipping address. After I confirmed my address, they said they would ship right away. Then they asked me to confirm the order, this time showing me the picture of my order. I confirmed everything again and they said they would let me know the tracking number once my order was shipped. W̶e̶l̶l̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶n̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶e̶i̶v̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶r̶a̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶n̶u̶m̶b̶e̶r̶.̶

      -EDIT: I received the shipping email on 8/6/19.

      Pretty easy; though I had to pay manually through Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship? According to the shipping box, they shipped my order on 8/1/19 so about three business days.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yep.
