Dolkot Mini Junior Discussion

Thank you! The Dollmore tan is such a gorgeous color. He arrived looking like a surfer boy - I asked for a blonde wig (I already had his burgundy one) so I could have one on-hand, and Dollmore sends their dolls with the wigs on, wearing cute boxer briefs. He was shipped 3 and a half days after I paid for him, I was thrilled! I originally wanted the Broken Ice Tears limited Pado, which is white skin, since he's related to Crow... but it sold out so I went the opposite direction and got tan. I like the contrast, I think it works pretty well! They don't look really alike, but enough to be distant cousins, I think.

I think it's cute Dollmore sends their dolls out wearing underwear. His resin is so rich and he definitely looks sun-kissed. Sam and Crow look great together. I think you made a fantastic choice.

I'm waiting on my Day's cousin from FL. The Island Doll Amy I originally purchased to fill that role just did not work. I ended up selling her after a few days. She just didn't feel right with the crew. Beautiful by herself, but when I'd put her next to the others... knots in my stomach. Ever had that happen?

So anyway, I'm waiting on a MNF Rheia for that character. Originally I wanted a MNF anyway - I guess that proves I should always go with my gut and not be tempted by impulse buys.

 

I haven't had that happen totally - though the Dolkot Chris looks SO different from the rest of my crew (the nose. It's so TINY! And his profile is flattish. I have Shiwoos and Els, so tiny noses and flatter profiles are an oddity.) that I wasn't sure at first what to do with him... but then he became the bookkeeper and it worked out OK. He's spending a lot of time on the head shelf at the moment though as he's sharing his body with a Minifee El and it's a pain to switch out the neckpiece. I'm overrun with Minifees but am hoping to find a Rheia head myself in a couple months! I'm almost done with my main characters and she's a minor one I'd like to have around too.

 

Nothing wrong with being over-run with dolls. Congrats on almost being done with your main characters - that's a fantastic accomplishment! I look forward to seeing the pictures you take of them.

What resin shade are you looking for a Rheia in? I'll keep my eyes open and if I happen to see one I'll let you know.

 

NS, and for now I really just need her head. She'll be sharing Finn's body indefinitely or until I win the lottery, LOL! I'd love to have her on the A-line small bust body with model legs, but that's a long, long time in the future sort of plan. I'm most excited at the moment about the newest one I'm working on... a Littlefee Elf Shiwoo! I've got his faceplate and will get his body soon at a meet.

I think it's good to plan and have dreams. Winning the lotto? Now that would be nice.

I just noticed Dolkot updated some of the Junior's promo pictures. When I saw that I was hoping they released a new sculpt. But no, it was just a tease.

on the dolkot site i saw the new old junior body with double joints, but this body was on sale only for a month O__o My Day head is on single joint old dolkot junior body and it's matches great ^^ (the body that i use for Day head is from event doll Chris)

So. I'm getting a Lai that I plan to mod into a girl, since I don't like the girl's body for the character I want. Would that make it a Lai or a Lala? XD

I spent a few hours yesterday face-up-ing and de-man-bits-ing the doll, and now I have my girl! I'm so excited; I love her. The sculpt is even better in person. >w>
Now to wait until the proper wig arrives. It supposedly shipped yesterday, so *crosses fingers*
