1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. : D i have a bag i use for bjd[converted], >< i stick pillows in it, the ones that come with the doll, since theres no padding and leave it at that. though i think i want a dollmore one XD

    2. OOoh helpful :D hehe I want a dollmore bag..coffins =O! I'll probably use my DOD carrier an pad it to zee top with pillows sponges etc...over protective :3

    3. Ahhh. I saw those coffin doll carriers. They are way cute! But like for 60-90 bucks for one back pack? ):

    4. i use a converted tokidoki bag :D pad the bottom w/pilllows, put the kids in sitting, put some clothes in between them for thinner padding, and put another pillow on top :aheartbea

    5. I have a suitcase on wheels that carries everyone, or if it's just my minis, I have a little duffle bag I use. I save the pillows they were shipped with and use them for extra padding.

    6. I still have the original package she was mailed to me in. :sweat

I'll just wrap her up in that default pillow thing, tape her shut in it, and then stuff it in that cardboard box (I sound really evil, like I'm taking her hostage or something  ).

The reason I like that box so much is that it really fits her size PERFECTLY. I can fit her in the box with the pillow and have it be snug enough that she won't move around, nor will she scrape against the sides. And it's not the default box you'd get from a company, it was mailed from a user, so it's a sturdy cardboard box.

    7. I also use carrier bag + doll pillows. I'd guess that that's a fairly common means of transport :)

    8. Do you keep their wigs on? o.o

I noticed that everyone seems to be using the 'pad-with-pillows/clothing' method, but I guess all that padding messes with their eyelashes/hair?? o.o

    9. it's probably easier to take their wigs off so it doesn't muss :0 also use face covers to avoid eyelash crumpling :)

    10. But don't face covers kind of... 'smoosh' the face? o.0

      And question!

Would you substitute pillows with clothing?

    11. I haaaaaate this glitch. D:

    12. I use the big white Dollshe carrier because I can stuff my Hound and my SD-sized boy inside. :sweat I put pillow, and the twol dolls side by side with their faces on their side and wigs on, then just plop on another pillow and zip the bag shut. The pillows make the bag very very snug so they don't get bumped around.

    13. Using a Doll Carrier--
I will always put on face protectors (after having smooshed eye-lashes, etc., without!). If I have room, I'll wrap my doll in a small fleece scarf or blanket--but often I'm stuffing two large dolls in there so there's very little room for anything. (I have a Volks Carrier--which has been working quite well for several years.)

In a larger/roomier, unpadded bag with other items--
I will use Fujiwara's Cozy Sacks for padding.
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114426
I can put a large doll in a sitting position in these so they will fit into all kinds of bags--particularly bags I can use on airplanes and put safely under the seat ahead of me so I can keep an eye on it!
      AND I still use face-protectors.

    14. Hi a newie question about doll carriers, do I need to buy a specially made carrier for my 1/4 dollfie or is there an alternative. What kind of bag do you guys use? Any ideas or comments would be apprecitated as I will be attending my first ever meet up in Aug. Thanks :)

    15. If its for an msd you can just wrap her up in some bubble wrap and slip her into a backback or something. Or alternatively you can make your own little bag which has been padded for something to keep them safe from bumps and jolts (I'm making a bag for my new msd girl ^^)

SD's are a little bit more tricky. My Dollshe boy came with a carrier so that sorted out the problem for my boys but if you dont have one then there are quite a few companies that sell them. I know for a fact that Dollzone and Dollmore do carrier bags and dollmore has quite a nice selection of msd bags here:

      Hope that helps! ^^

    16. I just wrap my boys up and put them in a messenger bag XD
      they're both msd .__.

    17. I use a violin case slightly modified with velcro straps.

    18. I was going to give that a try, but the only ones we have lying around are a bit too spacious for two msd boys. They'd be very much over compensating XDD

    19. There's a picture request thread here that shows and talks about some of the different bags people have used to carry their dolls in. :)

    20. I am actually working on making a custom carrier for my doll, a few changes of clothing plus extra eyes and what ever else i can cram in there! i will try and post pictures of it when i have completed it. I have been working on it for the last month!
