1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. I have a nice big bag that I can fit 4 dolls in comfortably. I have the ability to fit two MSD's on the bottom of the bag, then one on top of them, and then a Littlefee on top of that. I got this bag at one of my local stores. It's about the size of a mini duffel bag. I really love it because I can either hold it in my hand or swing it over my shoulder. :3 It's a knock off of a Tokidoki. It's by Pro sports called This flower of spring or something like that. You really can't miss these things. They're very well made for a knock off and have a great life. I have one that I used for a good two years. It's still not falling apart. :D

    2. Hi, I'm fairly new to the BJD world. Thanks for the info. I thought the carrier bag could or should only hold one doll.

    3. I have a Dollzone bag and can fit a 70, a mini, a tiny in her slim box, and a few Littles. Add some small plushies to padd against the buckles and they're ready to go.

    4. So far our greatest accomplishment has been to carry in 1 bag, 1-60cm(BBB Apollo), 1-58cm(DM Lilis Liv), 1-43cm(BBB Sprite), 1 DZ FOX. I'm not sure the make of the bag, but it's GI-NORMUS. I think we will try to squeeze the little Soom Glot in also for the next meet. But don't try to pick it up.... like angelfish said
Otherwise we have carry bags for each if the kids including the FOX.

    5. I have several carriers, one I can fit two of my tallest dolls sitting and the 2 pukis in, the dollzone one I have can actually hold 5-6 of my dolls [[all ranging from 60-68cms]] they all have facemasks and I put pillows in between them. so yeah, a lot goes into my bags, that doesn't even include the extra stuff like batteries, sponges, all that good stuff.

    6. If it is short distance, I stuff Elan in my sister's old tennis racket bag. She doesn't seem to like it, but she fits fine in it.

    7. When I get my doll, I'll be ordering a DF bag for her from LUTS, so that'll be how she's carried from one place to the next ~w~

    8. I have a grey Volks carrier, but I really want to get a violin case (or two? I'm not sure how many dolls would fit in it :sweat).

    9. I've used a yoga mat carrier before, (lol) but that was too floppy and i guess all those security guards were staring at that weirdly shaped "yoga mat" because my doll just ended up in a sitting position. :/

I've friends that have used violin cases, but it seems to only be able to fit 1 SD and 2 heads? So she had to bring 2 violin cases out when she wants to bring 2 dolls. (haha, so talented!)

Hmm, then again, there were some that used extremely large tote bags, i think that worked fine, but i'm just using a normal double SD carrier from dollmore!
      ^^;; They used to sell it (Goth carrier) but seemed that they have taken it off. @_@;;

It's kinda heavy, but works fine as well! :)

    10. I tried to carry Mukden in my handbag but he is too tall......
So I was foeced to buy a doll-carrying bag for him TAT

    11. I actually got a yoga mat carrying case from my college. It fits two to three SDs perfectly, and their pillows to keep them extra comfy. XD Plus it has a board on the bottom, so it doesn't get all floppy.

    12. I've got three carrier-whatsits that I rotate through depending on where I'm going and what I'm carrying.

For close meets with a lot of dolls? Rolling scrapbook tote. I can get three SDs and a mini in that there tote so it's easy to cart just about everyone along without killing myself.

For other things? I've got two Dollmore bags. One of the long thin SD cases, one of the double cases. I can get two SDs in the long thin bag provided they've got face protectors. The double carrier is a MONSTER; I've gotten two SDs, one DoC, and two Orientdoll minis in that sucker before. Kills the shoulder, but you can do it.

(...my two Dollmore carriers actually match. They're both the black initial fabric. I have matched doll luggage.)

    13. I carry my Orientdoll Mini in an old basket spray-painted white. It was originally just for Anime Expo but it kind of became his bed.

    14. I am curious what kind of doll carriers are out there and what the price ranges are... I have only seen the one on the volks website that looks like a bunting or something cocoon-like. :pcupcake

    15. wow. i had no idea they could be so expensive. thanks for all the info.

    16. I made this when I first got my DD Aoi.
It's just a normal toolbox with wood framed
padding held in by friction on the sides and
magnets on the front and back. I have a
rectangular pad that fits on top so she doesn't
      move around inside.

    17. I firsxt carried them in a simple bag... my school bag mostly, as Merry was only a head and Mirabeel, well, I can carry her in anything xD

Now that Meredith as a body, it got a little harder... If its for a little ride, I'll carry him in my bag.

Now I found this case in my wardrobe and it is perfect to carry both of them =D
I just need to add some padding and I'll be able to carry them everywhere =D
But I will still use my bags most of the time... its less.... big XD

    18. I would love to have an actual doll carrier someday. For now, when I take them out, I have a large handbag that can fit a doll comfortably. :XD: It has a soft lining but I always add a fluffy towel and then sit my doll carefully inside.

    19. I have an actual carrier for my Iplehouse, since I got one with him.

For when my two MSD size dolls arrive, though, I'm refurbishing a vintage cosmetic case to be a good carrier for them. <3 Lots and lots of padding.

If that works, I'm planning on getting a vintage suitcase or briefcase for my larger boys.

    20. I was wondering where I can find aesthetically-pleasing bags to carry dolls? If I go to a doll meet, I'd like to wear Lolita clothes, and the 'rucksack' styles I've seen so far would be pretty out of place.

I think these bags are the nicest I've seen by far: http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail.jhtml?item_id=6c80d2827c7548a573188924af496ef8&x_id=db2
but I'd like to know if there are nicer ones out there (lace and frills would be a bonus =D)?

Sorry if this has been posted already, I swear I did search. And I wouldn't post in the Marketplace since I'm not looking to buy one for now.

      Thanks in advance! :)
