1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. I would say you could if one doll was smaller especially and also they show it with alot of large boxy items in with th doll so if you don't fill the bag with too many extra's I'd say if you did it just right sure. It's all about 'creative' packing ^^

    2. Re posting this: I use Tupperware case for my MSD

Yes, it is part of container. I bought this couple months ago.

    3. I modified an old, cheap violin case to fit my SD girl, but I'm not quite happy with that; I want a safe place to permanently store her clothes and accessories, too. I've been considering getting carry-on sized luggage that will accomodate her sitting, then make dividers so that she can have a little "closet" in there. Still thinking on possibilities. (This thread was a massive help with that, too!)

    4. Try a rolling scrapbooking tote? You could get a really basic one and mod it, or you could get one that already has a boatload of pockets and pouches and so forth to store things like clothes and accessories. If you hit Michaels or Joann when they've got one of their 40-50% off coupons, you can get the nice ones for a pretty reasonable price.

Caveat: This isn't good for flying with, if that's on your agenda with your girl.

    5. Store bought, I have several companies carrrying cases. Dollshe, resinsoul, dollzone, luts and dollmore. Though to be honest the Luts one is the best. The dollshe is falling apart- probably because i shove two 70cm sooms and a 60cm into the carrier. :sweat

    6. I actually just bought a Wet Baby Cloth Diaper Bag off of ebay for like $5
it is perfect size for YoSD and you can just add some cushions and zip it up all nice :D

    7. Man, that's a great idea, and probably a better size! I hadn't thought of those totes. I'll keep an eye out.

I'll probably be commuting by plane twice a week in two years, but I can worry about fitting her into carry-on when the time comes.

    8. I use Sewpixie carriers.

    9. Does anyone have photos of your carriers/bags?

    10. :)I plan on buying this a LANIKAI HEAVY DUTY PADDED TENOR UKULELE GIG BAG #TENPRO W/BACKPACK STRAPS to use for the girls witch is a obitsu 50cm and a obitsu 45cm.

    11. I have a doll but no carrier case lol but I do like the coffin type.

    12. When taking any of mine out since they are smaller, I switch to my hard case cylinder purse. It's pretty awesome, its got spikes, lace, a day of the dead girl pattern and pretty much all in black. I purchased it from an art festival a while back but its perfect. I can fit my yo and two tinies inside plus my personal belonging. I have little fleece "sleeping" bags a friend made me so they can travel safely without scratching onto anything

    13. My friend made me a doll blanket to wrap him up in so he'd be safe in my backpack :). It's a pretty nice system.

    14. I normally just wrap my dolls in a pillow case/scarf/cloth and pack them in whatever bag I am taking, like a backpack or suitcase. When I'm going to meets and want to take a few dolls and accessories I wrap them up and pack the accessories/props around them and strap them in. If i'm only taking one, after I wrap the doll up I'll just put it in the bag that I'm taking. I've thought about making a doll carrier, but never have gotten around to it. I don't really want to buy one as they are expensive and the suitcase method works just fine for me.

    15. I haven't taken any doll out but I think a violin case would be decent and safe.

    16. I've used a little de computer bag before. I set my two MSD dolls sitting up facing each other, with their legs on either end. And then I put their soft clothing or wigs in their laps. I put anything potentially harmful on the other side of that lining, in a different pocket, I guess.

    17. I never use the "Doll" carrier. Just put the doll into the shopping bag :sweat

    18. I have a doll carrier from Dollmore. It's made to fit one SD size doll but I just about manage to squeeze my two MSDs and a Zaoll into it.

I don't carry my dolls around much so mostly I just use it as a place to store spare wigs, eyes, string, face protectors etc.

If I'm only carrying one doll I don't bother with it and just sit the doll in the bottom of my tote bag. One MSD can sit quite comfortably in a tote bag and it's easier to carry than a big doll carrier.

    19. I purchased one of the new Volks carriers in SD size to carry my MSD, tiny, and all of their stuff. I absolutely love it. It fits my dolls with ease and has buckles. I take my girl to a lot of conventions so the bag is really convenient.
