1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. Does anyone have one of those sweet looking 'bat wraps' from monstrodesigns? I wanna buy one! But currently, if I'm taking my girl out, I will wrap her in a soft fabric bag and then gently toss her in my (way too large) purse. I also usually put a face mask over her head because I have extremely long eyelashes in her.

    2. I stuffed my BJD in a tote bag most often and also sometimes carry them with a MSD carrier bag made from a company named Coolcat.
I am not satisfied with these bags, but until I find something better, they would have to stick with these bags... : (

    3. I buy carrier bags from BJD company. So far I have the Dollzone one (since it was "cheap") but it lack of protection.
Can't wait to received the ones from Iplehouse, it says that it has cushions inside, no more bubble wrap for my beauties! The MSD bag will be better to carry my little ones, the SD one is just to big for nothing.

    4. I just use my regular handbag for now... totally looking forward to my Cerisedolls Ninon coming home though! She comes with the cutest doll carrier ever and I'll be sure to put it to good use!

    5. My dolls all fit comfortably in an antique purse that I have, though that's going to change ^^;

    6. I've wrapped my dolls in cloth(towel or even clothes), then in a plastic bag that holds the package together, then in a large bag with my clothes acting as cushion. Yeah... Not very practical, but it worked.

    7. OK - I just priced this fantastic suitcase that's big enough for six 70cm dolls LOL Costs around $550 LOL But it's amazing! (Rimowa - pricey pricey pricey....) I may just spring for it...

    8. I've got a leather case from Dollmore that I adore - it fits two dolls sitting down. It's a bit difficult to get my 72CM Soom in there without really cramming, but it makes transporting a dream!

    9. A rolling suitcase from IKEA for my 3 MSD's. I also have a old MSD doll bag from releaserain that I got 3 yrs ago, that I use for toting just one doll now.
I use a fancy swim bag to tote around my tinies.

    10. I am surprised I have not posted this... almost 2 years ago I bought a vintage 1960's baby buggy/pram. I have nearly all SD+ sized dolls and tend to take most of em to our local meets. But with my back that means no actual carrying... so I improvised and this thing makes a great 'multi-doll carrier!' This pic is when I first got it and my lone 'zenith' sized Souldoll was trying out the fit... he was not impressed... follow the link and you can see a few pics including a couple from when we went to the museum... It was great we could all take advantage of not having to always carry the doll-kids around ^^

    11. Trust me on this one - it's not just the dimensions, but you also have to consider the weight! Even with a wheeled 21" suitcase, pulling it along behind you and occasionally having to lift it by the short handle can be exhausting even with just 2 large dolls, 3 or 4 minis and assorted other items in it. Six 70cm dolls...yikes!

    12. as long as you never plan to 'fly' with it sure l'd go for that if I had the money *says the nut job with 6 EID/SID sized doll >< who is planning more :sweat... I think I may need an intervention? LOL)
But for flying I'd have a .... "body bag (suitcase)" and a small carry one for heads and hand and feet?

I just would not trust the way baggage is handled ><

    13. This might be what you're looking for :D

    14. I don't trust baggage handlers either, ergo why I'm thinking of springing for such an expensive bag LOL & yep, six 70cm dolls do NOT weigh anywhere near what I normally pack in clothes! It's not a soft bag - hard one.

    15. ... still don't trust em lol

    16. Well I'm a fan of getting what's best for my dolls- they each get their own case! Elda has a pink pleather case (looks like a knockoff Dollmore case), Greta got a wooden vintage trunk that I found on Ebay and the next girl will get something white- whether that's a normal MSD case, a trunk or a purse. I've seen some discount purses that will make good cases and vintage doll trunks are nice too! I like to find whatever's perfect for them.

    17. best for your dolls is all fine and good when they are all small enough or few enough in number. Both Teleri and I have large #'s of LARGE dolls lol each in it's own case ... not even doable lol... and one of my is a 65+ cm tall centaur.... his shipping box covers 1/3 of the top of a single bed and is as deep as a laundry basket LOL nope, no 'special' cases for each... lol

    18. I usually use the homemade option for the carrier. I use my Jansport backpack with my doll whenever I go to meets or places nearby, I position her in sitting position at the side at all times. Same thing for the stroller if I travel via plane :)

    19. I use the homemade option for my carrier. I use my huge Aztec print totebag when I take my doll to college for sketching practice. The bag is very colorful and beautiful so it's a perfect match for her :)

    20. For when I'm only taking my tinies in the car with me, im working on scale sized car seats with a Velcro strap on the back of it to attach to the real seatbelt. There is a ribbon used as a belt for them, held together with a magnetic necklace clasp to imitate the real thing.
