1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. I use a Dollmore pink carrier bag, I can put : 1 Kid delf + 1 Luts centaur + 1 E-line Crobidoll !!
Or I use my suitcase x'D

    2. Right now I use my hands or a small book bag. But in the case of a bag, I carefully wrap them in some soft fabric. Just in case. I want to buy a fancy bag for them though!

    3. Dollzone has some ADORABLE bags, but they're so expensive! I'm strongly considering getting one so that I can take a doll to the BJD panel at SDCC.

    4. I don't usually take my dolls out, but I've recently been using the carrier my Dollshe Husky came in with the wrap-around pillow that came with my Be Yours Kirara to carry my synthesizer.

    5. If I am taking one or two dolls I use my DollMore SD bag. But I take a lot of my dolls to a anime con once a year so that's when I take my big rolling trunk. I can fit all of my dolls in it if I wanted... I got it for like $30 online.

    6. I am discovering I will need a bag that I can take only my 45cm and under dolls in O_o.... I will have 4 soon... much more convenient that my big buggy I use for the big kids O_o... Have a few old purse type bags I should convert I think...

    7. I plan to get some proper doll carriers too but until now, I can't find one which I can fit them well. So I use my school/travel bags to carry them instead. This time I plan to take one of my SD to go on a flight with me, so I bought a new bigger Dakine's bag especially for him.

    8. I have a doll bag, I like that it has little straps to buckle the doll in.

    9. Volks SD bag! I'm satisfied with this amazing bag :aheartbea

    10. I haven't carry yet, but I'm thinking about sewing one by myself c:
usually I use doll box or cusions now~

    11. They go in my arms, or other doll sit on top of the other then I carry them. Or if I bring more of same big size, I just use regular bag with lots of cushion and face mask, or soom pillow then I hug it since it's almost like a pillow for me :sweat I had the violin case, and custom order doll carrier bag, but I won't use them Since they're so heavy...

    12. I just carry my one current dolly in the velvet sack they came in when I bring them out places with me.

    13. I am going to a conference in a little more than a month, and doubtless will see many examples of doll carriers and after that most likely will make one. I saw one being made on UTube, looks fairly easy, and I would get padding in firm of foam sheeting at the local fabric store. Another thing that I thought of is a dog buggy. No, I don't mean a doll buggy. At large dog shows with many vendors, you can find them, and will certainly see them being used to wheel several toy dogs around, they have a little hood and a way to secure the dogs inside, and levels to carry equipment and supplies and look like a baby buggy. I have also seen something similar at quilt shows, with places to carry sewing projects made into them. I think both of these can be bought online as well. That might work out even better, as it is easier to push and park, than pick up and carry.

    14. collapsible and with 'baskets' that set our separately would be ideal for the dog/.fabric thing... ;my 1960's baby buggy is close tot that...but I couldn't find the one the collapses down ><

    15. I carry my DC Lance in a ukulele case and he fits perfectly.

    16. Yoga bag! My dad did buy me a rolling tool kit case, but the two tool boxes aren't quite long enough so we still need to cushion it and add velcro to rig it. Once we do, I'll be using that instead.

    17. I used to use a bag made for holding tennis racquets and junk because it was long enough, or a rolling suitcase when I wanted to bring lots of dolls to a meet. Then I invested in a couple of Volks carriers, and there's really something to be said for having a bag actually made for our purposes. All the pockets actually fit my tools!

    18. I was actually planning on making my own carrier via a tutorial on here that just takes a zipper, poster board, and duct tape. Then I'll probably reinforce it with cardboard or something really sturdy :) I'm a DIY gal, especially since carriers are spendy.

    19. I made a carrier based on a tutorial I found on Bjd Collectasy. I made it with a lilac fabric and decorated with lace, so of course I had to make a matching lilac and lace doll outfit.

Here's the tutorial if you're interested:

    20. Its rare that I take more than 2-3 dolls out at a time, so the SD size carrier that came with my Spiritdoll is perfect. I can fit two SD sized dolls in it, or an SD and two MSDs, or several small dolls. I also have an Impldoll carrier that fits the same as the other one if I need to take more dolls.

However, if I'm just taking very small dolls, I'll often put them in a sleeping bag or their box in my purse. Depending on location, I might even just carry the doll in my hands.
