1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. I bought a custom bag for my 70 Ringdoll. But I did not know if I will buy a second maybe a keyboard bag will make it too ^^

    2. Ok so I'm probably a bad doll owner, but I just shove my SDs in a backpack...

    3. I have used totes, a padded duffel bag, a wagon... depends mostly how many dolls i have to carry at the time. The more dolls, the more wheels i need.

    4. I use a padded camera case! It's great because it's designed to protect delicate camera parts, so my doll is nice and safe. It's got extra pockets for his accessories, or little things I pick up at conventions. This one fits my MSD perfectly.

    5. Oh wow! That case is beautiful!!

    6. How do you carry around your doll friends? Favorite brand/style of bags that you like? Are you more into style of the bag or function? Creative ways to carry dolls around you've seen???? Let's talk about bags! :XD:

I've been thinking a lot lately about fun ways I could carry around a doll in the future should cons/meets be safe to do again!
Lately I've been looking to make my own, potentially turn one of my many purses into one, or possibly picking up a vintage suitcase a la rozen maiden style ;)

    7. My Puki Puki travel buddy, Leon, gets carried in an umbrella sleeve in an inner pocket of my purse. I got a more conventional MSD doll bag made by Dollmore so I can take one of my new big girls with me when meets are a thing again.

Here's Leon, in his traveling spot-

    8. OMG!!! so precious! he looks so happy and cozy :D

    9. This is so cute omg. I need a new purse, and I am totally going to make sure my new one has a little doll slot.

    10. I recently picked up one of those "bubble backpack" cat carriers with the intention of outfitting it to be a little travelling diorama for my Smart Doll--it's a tight fit, but it does technically work for him. However, my main 1/4 boy fits inside it perfectly fine and I suspect I could probably get away with a minimum of two of that size if I really wanted. The biggest issue is actually securing them in place, as it's more intended as a portable display than a means of protection while out and about. Haven't quite worked that part out yet, but I figure a pile of properly scaled cushions might do the trick.

... Oh man, now I want to look into vintage suitcases for my larger guys. It would be so great to pull the ridiculous visual kei wannabe out of a beat-up old case like that.

    11. I'm thinking of making one for my doll when she gets here. I think it would be cute to make a little coffin purse that is just for her.

    12. This is so adorable, I love it! And brilliantly simple.

    13. omg thats a cute idea! you might have to glue in some straps or something to secure them maybe? and definitely lots of cushioning lol!

I think suitcase would be perfect for the bigger dolls!!! Although I've been running into the problem of finding ones I like, but are too small/not deep enough for the doll I'm waiting on. Once she actually comes in, I'm thinking about going antiquing with her haha

right???? makes me want to look into getting tinier dolls to travel with, but I might just start taking nendoroid places lol!

aaawww!!!! a perfect little coffin case for little sally
ngl I was inspired to try to find a coffin shaped case or something after seeing Dream Catcher's light stick packaging (kpop group!)

    14. I very much want a tiny one as well. As much as I want a larger doll, moving to a boat might be ruling out the possibility of the larger boys I've had my eye on, so I'm starting to look at smaller dolls and all the ingenious things people are doing with them now!

    15. @emberash oohh boat? sounds cool! yea maybe tiny ones might be nice for small spaces!

    16. It'll depend on how I plan to position them, but straps are a possibility too. First thing's first, gotta figure out the overall insides. So far all I know is there's going to be lighting inside and holographic vinyl "wallpaper".

To be honest, it would probably be better to find some sort of trunk for them. The correct words escape me at the moment, but suitcases are typically very flat whereas what we're both probably picturing is more box like? You're brave to consider bringing her to size things, though--I'm not sure if I can muster up the courage to have mine tag along, even if it's specifically for him.

    17. I've found vintage leather bowling bags work well for a variety of dolls 65cm and under.

    18. omg!!! vintage bowling bag, that's so cool!

    19. without going too off-topic of and derailing, I wanted to also photograph my doll(s) traveling with us, but my partner is very leery about a 70cm+ and the room it will take.

Staying on topic, I love seeing threads like this because I will have to find practical solutions to keep them from breaking at sea. Anchored shouldn't be a problem though :)

    20. oohh kind of like those playsets some toys have these days? I like Nanana surprise dolls and they have sets where you carry the doll around in a sort of makeshift on the go playset (usually a bedroom), maybe not exactly like how you were planning but in the same vein lol!
I'm sure we're both thinking along the lines of a briefcase of some sort? trunk is also a good word for it! I've even considered wine boxes but I haven't found any big enough for her online, although I know a friend does have some :XD:

hahaha normally I wouldn't wanna bring something like a doll just on a casual outting but I would definitely muster up the courage just for the aesthetic!
