1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll carriers? What do you use?

Sep 26, 2004

    1. Xan generally rides in my arms. When I'm walking around places, he likes to perch on my shoulder and tangle his hands in my hair. (Seriously.) I don't have a carry bag for him, so at first I took him places in his box, but that was a pain.

    2. I just got a new large duffle bag to carry my boys in. xD; It's Sesame Street and from SanRio. (A Hello Kitty Store.) *dork* :sweat

But it really is a perfect size for them. It has two large pockets on the ends, great for storing wigs, clothes, ect. I use the pillows Shinichi came with for padding. :aheartbea

    3. I think of re-using my old trumpet bag. It's got a thick layer of foam to protect everything that's in it.

    4. hi. i would like to visit a BJD meetup and there is going to be one soon in my neighbourhood. but i don't want to take my doll out in the open when i am loane in the train and i don't want it to get damaged so.... unfortunately i don't have this special doll bag and am kinda short on cash to quickly buy one....does anyone have alternatives for me?

    5. If you have a tote bag or backpack that works. Just wrap her/him up safely first and make sure they're on top so you don't crush them...or a rolling suitcase work especially the hard case ones, that way no one can kick and hurt anything inside

EDIT: oooh a hard case musical instrument case works too

    6. I use a solid suitcase with cushions and wheels ^^ It's the best if you have more than two dolls : D

    7. honestly, if it is just one doll, i'd take him by carrying him :) I mean i drive a car, and i have three kids. But they go buckled in the seatbelt, and i take them. If you get lucky, the seat by you will be empty, and he can sit beside you! :D if not, you might end up carrying him on your lap. But at least you KNOW where he is and what is happeneing to him.

    8. Peri is almost always being toted around in a a vintage Gucci bag I inherited from my grandmother... (lol, classy!)

    9. thanks for the tip so far everyone...however my doll is quite big (64,5cm) and every bag that i find in the house, his head keeps sticking out and i really want to have him fully tucked away so no one can see him on my way to the meeting.

    10. Recently I've been using a small rolling suitcase, I can fit all my minis in it with four doll pillows to keep them protected. I doodled all over it so it is very obviously mine.

    11. On my arm. He is pretty darn heavy after awhile (rubs sore arm) :doh

    12. I put my dolls in my wheeled sewing machine carrier. They sit upright facing each other with their legs intermingled. There's room between them to sandwich in supplies and several pockets for little things.
      Susan

    13. The box which carry doll to my place .ORZ

    14. Depends if I am just taking Ryu out I will carry him in the crook of my arms. I have a large canvass toat bag that if I am carrying 3 of them and I don't have to walk far (but thats heavy to lug). And I have a shopping bag on wheels (large wheels), that can hold about 6 of them and other stuff. Padd it with doll pillows and it can handle the most sophisticated of meets.

    15. If I am going to a local meet I carry most of them in a laundry basket. I make sure that the are not touching each others faces and shoes are not rubbing on any body parts of others. I get a lot of slack about this from the other members of our group, but it makes sense to me. Why pack them up like they are being shipped when you are just driving 30 miles? But when I do travel on planes with them I wrap them in bubble wrap and put them in my carry on, and when I get to my destination I just carry them in my arms.:)

    16. My dolls are really tall and I carry them in a 26" quilted duffle bag. I am thinking about trying a small suitcase with wheels (pilot size) to see if I like that better...Tibby

    17. My yoga bag with a scarf thrown in for cushion/lining.

    18. I use a hard bag of Angel Region for my big SDs. Inside is really soft. Perfect for protect the makeup

    19. cFor my msds i use my msd sized DOD case, for my one Luts SD girl i put her in there too on her own, kinda holding her knees... And for my Big guy, my DZ Wing, i put him sitting in my emily the strange purse, he totally rides in style.
I have a really large purse XD

    20. I own a white iplehouse carrier bag and a black luts' one. But I really haven't travelled/carried my dolls to many places.
I carried Irina once and she was... in my bag ^^U My purse. She fits in!
