Doll Chateau Kid Dolls Discussion: Part 9

I will try to figure it out - looks like I need to remove S-hook to do that and I'm afraid I will unstring whole doll in the process Aaand it looks like I'm on a Doll Chateau high...I've just ordered discontinued Bella 2 [I know the regular one stays, but since Bella 2 has only extra wrist joints and no neck or ankle ones, I decided for her + discount ].

She's such a cute and popular sculpt I've been eyeing for a while and I'm really curious on the white skin. I have DZ peach and now DC pink so time to see white!

Well, 2023 looks like a year of customisation and no new dolls

Removing the neck joint is pretty straight forward, but depending on how tightly she's strung you may need another person to help. What you want to do is take her head off and get something sturdy like a chopstick, and insert it in the middle joint of her neck, making sure it sits with the elastic wrapped around it. Carefully slide out the s-hook, and the top part of her neck will pop off. Slide the s-hook back onto the elastic, remove the chopstick, and put her head back on!

Upon checking a few dealers (BJD Divas, Angelesque) and official DC site it looks like regular Bella is also being discontinued? She’s still available for order via ACBJD and DDE though, so it’s confusing!

I ordered mine a few weeks ago, but it is surprising to see such a popular doll to go, I am used to seeing this little lady around.

 

My sweet Itsy Betsy got a new dress for Christmas. It's a yosd sized dress and fits her perfectly

I love the lip colour, looks so stylish and vintagey. Good to know dress is YOSD size, those bodies are tricky to dress, I suppose. And ohhh I have just ordered this little fairy headband for my doll too

 

I just found out about the new DC event.. I'm so tempted to buy a K-12 body.. it's so elegant ♡__♡ too bad Lance is out of commission now.. I'd definitely buy him if he was still available :'3

 

I'm on a DC spree! I literally can't wait for my Bella-2 preordered in December, so I have bought two weeks ago regular Bella in peach via DDE in-stock dolls She's my first doll in 2023.

Since I'm not based in US, the shipping takes a while, but she's already in-country, just held by the customs. I have clothes, wig and eyes ready for her . Can't wait to see Bella, she's such a classic sculpt.

 

That's exciting! Hopefully she's not held up in customs for too long!

eta: and (maybe not so) randomly, thoughts on a medusa head on the k18 body?....

 

I want to hybrid a (faceuped) Doll Chateau head on a Dream Valley body. Does anyone know if their resin shades match in the more recent years? Preferably Normal pink or peach. Thank you.

 

It will be beautiful, but neck size of k-18 body is too big - 8 cm. K-11 body is 5,5?

 

Well dangit, id completely missed those measurements. Thank you for the info.
Seems I'll have to find another body option if I want one for a Medusa that isn't her default.


Eta: just looking @ medusa again on DDE & realized why I thought she'd fit - her default body neck size is 5.5, but if u go to her seperate head listing, it says her neck size is 8??
