But, that said, I did some experimenting with dye last month and I think I'm ready to finally try dip-dyeing my Elizabeth!

My Lafal head arrived today I don't have a wig or body for him currently so it's a bit hard to judge what he'll look like as a full doll, but I'm very happy with him so far. I got him in Moon White and I think that works very well. These were the only eyes with the correct size I had. They definitely feel a bit too "real human" for him I'm thinking of getting some rainbow eyes, although the blue ones in the official pictures are also very pretty.
Ooh he's so beautiful!! I personally quite like these eyes, but I'm also just a huge sucker for green.
As my last dolly purchase of the year, I got that in stock Ula that DDE had on sale I love fairies! And her having sculpted shoes is nice since now I don’t need to find any lol I’ve been trying to find owner pictures of her but there’s hardly any! Instagram as only 4 posts No doll profiles here. There are a few of her sister Eunice, but she’s rare too. I saw that their order period was in 2021. I wasn’t really checking up on DC that year. Did these two not have a lot of buzz?
I'm not sure why Ula and Eunice didn't get much attention. I got Ula (just her head) in the discontinuation sale and she's beautiful. At some point next year i'll get her a body hopefully. I wonder why they slipped under the radar there, I mean, they're elf eared dolls so you'd think they'd have gotten attention.
Personally I think most player shy away from them because their bodies are very hard to play and style. I myself couldn’t handle the K body 11-12 let alone the ones with more wings…
That's a good point. They're more display pieces than anything else. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, but I personally like to be able to play with my dolls.
DC Ula 14 Wow you guys, my aforementioned Ula is here, and she is lovely! The box was huge! I thought I was sent an SD by mistake lol I’m going to post an unboxing for her cuz I took a lot of pictures.
Lol, yes the boxes these two come in are gigantic! I think the bodies aren't too bad, they behave fine sueded. But the wings! Detaching the wings on my eunice was okay, but getting them back on was a whole project by itself. Scratched some of my paintjob off but it's luckily not very visible.
Thank you! Thank you! I had seen your post about the wings! I was hoping to just leave them on for painting. I’ll most likely paint them with acrylic so I can seal them with brush on varnish vs spray. I’m afraid of taking them off lol
What do you guys think of the two new dolls Elsa and Eirwen? I love that skull head and the sculpted eyelashes are interesting.
It was love at first sight for me. Doll Chateau can always be counted on for unique sculpts, and I was immediately smitten by Elsa because of her single leaf-wing (and I’m seeing the other wing as twigs.) It’s such a unique concept with that and the half-scull face. And I agree that the sculpted eyelashes are very interesting as well. To me, she reads as a half-dead plant…or a dried flower perhaps? There’s just so much character there! I have a definite weakness for “planthros”, so I’ve already put her on layaway. I got her blank, but choosing a skin color was very difficult…so many possibilities with this sculpt! In the end I chose moon gray because it’s just so gorgeous I couldn’t resist.
