Doll Chateau Tiny Discussion Part 2

My only experience is my testing of sizes between my own dolls. DC Hilary body with Impldoll Nancy head. Fit quite well little tiny gap. Hard to tell if they really went together as Hilary is in white skin and Nancy pink. Probably not that helpful. I was just looking at how much a point five diff was. My DC zora too small.

 

They seem to have removed the fullset doll from their website, there are only the blank head available and the add on the frontpage...

 

Yep apparently redesigning her from what I hear from my dealer.

 

how are you looking at this doll's sales page and getting it being campaigned as anti abuse- or abuse at all?

 

It would seem as though they redesigned the doll and updated the page. A good thing if you ask me.

 

are there any copies of the original page?

I copied all the original pics incl the lines of quote which accompanied them so I could show a couple of friends. Don't have a copy of the actual page though.

I am away for the Easter break, I will try to sort out the pics when I return. I am still a newbie on DoA and need to find out how to share pictures ha ha... I do have a Flickr account so maybe putting them on there and giving people that link would be best. No worries though, I have them, and will share.

@stellarphenomena ... The outfit is 'I think' supposed to be a punchbag, like what boxers use in the gym. I only got that after studying all the original promo shots along with the added titles. I think it's amazing how different they have made the little yellow one appear now, almost cute Easter bunny ????

 

She still looks like a human trafficking victim to me. I'm so creeped out by that doll. Honestly, I think that some of the DC dedigners are legit insane.

 

I think the doll itself is pretty cute, nude and without the company face-up (too much red shadow for me)

 

I think it's great they have kept the Doll almost the same. It must cost them time and money to design and make new skulpts. The new lighter face up is cute and I love the yellow bag she is in. I would consider her if she turned up in stock.

 

I understand that DC designed this doll to promote a very emotive subject and as such it was never going to be a pretty doll. Miriam may not have stayed around very long in her original form but we have continued to discuss her and hopefully think about the subject matter which is very real and prevalent in most societies including westernised countries. I would have liked to know if DC were in fact giving profits to charities and organisations from the sale of this doll, that being said, I would have definitely bought one and happily gave her a home with original face-up. But even though Original Marion has been to the cleaners!!! The subject lives on, and I have enjoyed reading so many points of view from all you guys.

 

I was wondering if anyone has received an Elsia or a Betty yet?

I have seen only one Elsia on flickr (but can't find it anymore) and there is one in stock at jeeryama at the moment (but pink and not white so I am safe for now)...

I have just gotten my hands on a ws PKF Pupu faceplate and I was thinking the BB8 body could be a really funny option if I could only find a headback...

I am not sure anymore...

Anyone with a BB8-9 body and a pukifee head around or an Hillary/Jodie to compare them?
I have also considered Carol/Laetitia body with a neck modd... but I don't know if they are on topic here...
