1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Chateau Tiny Discussion Part 2

Sep 17, 2014

    1. I totally share your joy too!!! I am a complete sucker for the DC event dolls, and was really sad that I could never share anything about them, or ask people for advice etc... So this is great!!!
I notice you also have a Carol there in your collection, I also have one. Can I ask you about the legs and knee joints??? Mine is really kicky, and often when I have him stood posing him for a pic or whatever, his leg will just jump up at the knee, or they both bend and he crumples down!!! Have you had this with yours? Have you done anything which improves it? Or any ideas for me to try????
I also have a Katherine toooo...I wish I could have ordered the Madeline head on Katherine body though he he
Have you painted either of these sculpts yet???

    2. And here is a picture of my Russell, to celebrate! He's still a bit of a work in progress.

      I also have two Adas.

    3. I'm actually super excited, I'm getting my first full doll and she's going to be a DC Zora and I was wondering what sort of clothes and eyes are recommended size wise?

    4. Congrats on your first doll... My 1st bjd was DC Zora too !!! She is wonderful. Ok clothes I have found that most of my Blythe clothes fit her really well in the body sometimes the dresses might be short but that's fixed by shorts or bloomers he he... I have found that again boots and shoes for yoSd are a good fit. I have a Lott of 10mm eyes for her which fit great, except sometimes I find there is not enough iris showing...so I have a couple of 8mm eyes which look really cool BUT there is a tiny bit of gaping with these that I fix using white eye putty. Her wigs are 5-6 inch.
If I can answer anything else please ask... What colour resin have you picked? And have you ordered her blank or with blushing?
Edit... I just realised that the wig part was not too clear. Her head is 14cm which is like 5+ some inch. I have had weft wigs size 5-6 inch (using a silicone wig cap to hold it on. I have also had a 5 inch fake fur (coz it had some stretch to it) ... So bear in mind that all wigs can fit differently, and it helps to know if the material has some stretch to it.

    5. She's second hand from someone that I'm buying online, she has a cute lace designed face up and a white wig with a floral headband. I'm probably gonna attempt making clothes later on for her because I have a bunch of fabric from when I used to make clothes for reenactments.

    6. @HoneyRyder . I haven't actually gotten around to painting madeline yet, she is actually my SO's doll, and she wants madeline to have a minimal faceup, so I really need to get around to that! My carol does have a temporary faceup though.
As for carol, I had to glue sued the bird (mostly needed on hips and knees). Granted, the knees don't perfectly stay flush now when straight, but the wonderful posing now more then makes up for it!
By the way, I find it fascinating that I have seen so many around here and other places see their carol as a boy. am I the only one with a lady bird? :XD:

    7. Pahahahaha I like that you said "Lady Bird" very funny on several levels ... Oooh, I would love to see some pics OS your Carol face-up and the poses SHE can do. So you managed with the glue, no wire required???

    8. Ptiza is gorgeous! I love her wig and makeup:love

    10. FirecrackerSparks, thank you, I love her, she is so tender and positive))
Alas, we do not have any tattoos, although I was thinking about it )) This is our first appearance in this topic:blush We barely have time to finish a faceup and get ready for our little trip (there was a Sci Fi and Fantasy Convention near St. Petersburg)

    11. managed to take my Zora out to the park yesterday. I really need to find an artist to do her faceup because her ws is like a beacon. haha

    12. Hello everyone! I'm enjoying all of your pictures. DC dolls are so amazing!

I am planning on ordering Fiona. I want to get her in white skin, and blank, so I can do my own face up and paint those awesome shoes! I'm still thinking on her name, something glamorous and unique. Now I must figure out what she can wear. I guess Blythe, or other similar sizes?

    13. Just came back to say I did it! I ordered Fiona!

    14. :o well I just saw Fiona on Alices Collection and thought I love her but which DC thread is she in? Saw your comment on the midi thread and came here LOL - wow Congrats on ordering her :dance I can't wait to see what you do with her she is AWESOME :love

    15. @elve so glad to see you posting again! I missed you!
I was confused too, but realized that Fiona comes on one of the yosd bodies and is in the tiny category at moc. She is 40cm to the top of the ears, but in reality she is still a tiny. So confusing, lol. I am going to blush her in pinks with gold accents. I have some pink lace with embroidered flowers to make a dress. A fancy frilly dress. I also like the wig in the promo pics and will probably get one similar, but maybe golden blond or pink. She is the first female Bjd whom I feel so inspired. I hope the wait isn't too long, I want to work on her now!

    16. thanks kurogane :whee: I missed the internet! I've moved house and been cut off from the WWW for 2 months :horror: now I'm writing another bjd wishlist LOL - I hope you don't have to wait too long for Fiona as well! No idea what DC wait time is at the moment but it's usually a few months :nosebleed

    17. I think this is the right place to ask a few things. I've been debating on getting a DC mini... I noticed two event dolls that I'm really interested in. I was unable to find when they were available, I'm not betting on being able to get either but still interested. Any of you older DC hobbyists know the history between Nehemie and Bedrice? On the page it simply says christmas event... I assume it means a past one...? Is there any hope on these beauties being in future events or am I out of luck. :huh?:

I'd also love pictures of them if anyone happens to own any. ;)

    18. @IttyBittySpider Hello! The two event dolls you are asking about were for Christmas 2014. I occasionally see them come up for sale. I hope you can find one, or both!

    19. Seems to be about 5 months. Well.. at least. I'm waiting for my DC order for April for 4 months now and am entering the 5th month of waiting.

I finished my Carol a while ago and since she's on topic now I can share her C:

I sueded my Carol and wired the legs, that helped a lot with the posing problems.
