@elve Nooooooooo! The Pegacorn is gorgeous!! I was NOT going to order any more dolls....! Darn, I have to get one! I collect unicorns in Bjd form, lol. This will be the third, and closest to my dream version. DC, why?!!!! The snowman is cute too... too bad he is truly a gift item. Well, it saves me $.

 

thank you! they are indeed an amazing (and adorable) sculpt - I just couldn't see past the company faceup and all that, as usual - I've got a total blind spot where that goes so I NEED owner pics!

they are unbelievable aren't they? I saw the DC even thread and thought 'no don't look!' Then I thought well it'll probably just be a little weird doll I won't like anyway - no harm in looking! And never in my wildest dreams did I think they'd make a pegasus/unicorn thingy which looks so totally amazing! When I was a small child learning to sew in school, I made a pegasus toy from felt, and they've always been a 'thing' of mine - and as for unicorns well what's not to like about them? After I saw 'Legend' in the 1980's I was in love (and not with Tom Cruise LOL)

 

@elve Ah, yes! Legend is still a favorite of mine! I'll have to watch it again, lol. I'm just waiting for MOC to list the unicorn and I'll start a layaway, sigh. I'm just finishing up the one for Fiona, so perfect timing. Oddly enough, I make my doll money by making and selling unicorns in dollhouse scale.

At least she won't need a wig or clothing! I'm all for that!

 

no that's definitely an economical choice of doll for those reasons alone How apt that you make dollhouse scale unicorns too - s/he can have minions I've been looking at the Barbie unicorn for ages now - I reckon DC are getting a lot of inspiration from play dolls, what with the last event dolls, Katherine and Madeline being so similar to Monster High - as soon as I saw the Unicorn I thought oh forget the Barbie one, I want this one! Shame they're not the same price LOL - However I'm now justifying to myself that I CAN order the DC youth I want, and get a free unicorn, which if I sell it (haha but no I really really will - possibly) will mean that I'm getting the DC youth I didn't think I could afford, at a really affordable price! Ah dolly logic - priceless, and no point arguing with it either

This is Biscuit and my well loved Hilary. I love DC's different shapes and sizes for their baby dolls. I didn't realise Betty was so big. I love her.

 

LOL is she the one from Angelesque? I nearly bought her too - but decided 2 new dolls in a week was all I could handle She is a real cutie

I see MOC has the unicorn up...should I get her today, or wait till later in the month? I'm just thinking I don't want two charges on my cc in the same month. But, ah, yeah, there will have to be as I have one payment left for Fiona. Luckily, I got a bonus this month! So, looks like no use delaying the inevitable!

@elve What doll are you planning on getting? I saw that MOC has a question in to DC asking if we can get the unicorn in grey or green resin. I want white, but green would be interesting. I'd love to get the snowman too, but....I need to win the lottery! I know exactly who I'd get, lol. DC is my downfall, sigh.

well I'm glad you did buy her! When I bought my birdie plus the resinsoul deer in stock, I asked Carol about Betty, and she offered to send her along too! I was tempted for a second, but decided 2 new impulse-buy dolls was insane/extravagant enough LOL - Carol reassured me Betty had been there a month and would probably still be there next week! Quite relieved you gave her a home and saved me some money

I love all the youth sculpts but really taken with Evangeline - although I want the 03 body with the extra long neck - but I want the high heels too - but yeah I'll never manage to decide on anything that big

 

Well, I'm the proud owner of a DC unicorn! I decided I had to order her today. I put her on a four month layaway as she will take four months (or more) to arrive. I gotta stop looking at new releases! Or in stock, used, or just dolls period, lol! I have three dolls on pre order! I've never had that many on order, EVER!

 

Congrats I just saw it on the waiting room thread! But like you said somewhere else, it's your only vice And really I don't think dolls are a vice - they're a healthy, wholesome, creative, fulfilling hobby ohh now I've convinced myself I can order some more dolls!

 

@elve For years I've given myself a hard time for spending all of my 'fun money' on bjds and not saving for trips, or other activities that I used to do. I finally realized bjds are what make me happy and just to enjoy the hobby. I also used to put a limit on how many I can have, and sold many just to keep the number low (ten or less). I have given myself permission to own as many as I want. DC tempts me the most!

Well, I'm hoping you can get all the dollies on your wish list!

 

I just placed an order for fullset Doll Chateau Jason in green skin. I've considered getting him since around the time he came out, and I immediately took a liking to the unicorn pegasus Lillian because used to collect My Little Pony (and still buy the occassional pony here and there). I would love to get the snowman, too. He is so cute! I wonder if I could customize him to be a robot...

 

@Juxtaposition Congratulations! The green resin is so pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your boy. I think the snowman would make a cute robot. I read there will only be 50 made worldwide, so anyone who gets one is fortunate. Also, I'm wondering is your username from the sci if fantasy book by Piers Anthony? One of my all time favorite series.

 

I just made my first ever BJD purchase! Larry and Ada will both be joining me, they were in stock on Oobiedoll and I couldn't be more thrilled!! Now I can save up and play with these guys until I decide who to preorder hehe.

Just ordered a Snowman- I'm thinking he'll probably be more of a weird little goblin creature, though! Do you think it's likely he'll be able to stand without the cup-feet things on?

 

you can't order the snowman! I would guess they're all sold out already due to it being a first come/first served offer of only 50 Worldwide. Angelesque lists it as being for a minimum spend of over £320, but doesn't say it's limited to 50 and customers may not get one even if they order that amount of DC stuff. I think there's going to be a lot of disappointed people with this event as DC don't usually make a limited number of their event dolls during the event (they just discontinue them afterwards normally)
