1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Chateau Tiny Discussion Part 2

Sep 17, 2014

    1. Hey guys! I am a newbie here. I've been thinking of purchasing a Doll Chateau Zora (I fell in love with her when I first saw her), and I found someone selling it second hand on a facebook group. Anything I should be aware of?

Also, are there any other clothes that fit these DC Baby bodies aside Pullip? I can't seem to find a lot of info.

    2. I made my Zora's outfit so I can't help in the clothing department. As for things to be aware of, you'll most likely need to wire her legs in order to get her to stand. Also, her head is heavy so it makes balance a bit challenging.

    3. Thank you for the tips!

    4. still a long way to go with my Carol (Ludwig) but at least he has his wig, and probably these eyes for now too - Wig is from Alices but was way too big - I had to sew a pleat in the back of it to make it small enough for him. Other than that it's just what I visualized for him - I wish I had a clear vision for his faceup/bodyblush too!

    5. Oh wow, it's amazing how that wig makes the sculpt look so different to how I'd always pictured it!

    6. I just got my Wanda (she's off for a face up now), and was able to try various clothes on her. She has narrow shoulders and big hips, while Barbie has wide shoulders and narrow hips, so those don't fit well. Blythe clothes do fit, aside from Wanda's long arms and legs, plus her big hands can be a problem. Some Azone M size things will fit, but again, shoulders are loose. For shoes, Tonner's Marley/Agnes/Alice size fits. This is the 12" child doll, not the newer "Grown up Marley".

She really is cute, all delicate and long legged (needs wiring), and the green resin is a light, minty color. I can hardly wait to get her home again.

    7. Gorgeous!!!

    8. plucked up courage to throw some paint at my sold-out, limited edition Carol today :shudder Scrubbed off the first disaster, but I'm happy with the 2nd one, which is a relief - don't fancy painting him again! I might put a bit more detail on his feet and wings but I was in a real hurry as I spent all day doing the first attempt and just wanted to get it over and done with. Now for some clothes! And some glue sueding - he is unable to straighten his legs or stand at all - they just ping back to bent knees - good job he likes posing on the bed naked :whee:

    10. thank you :fangirl: I was forced to paint him like that to cover the stains I made painting his face with black paint first time :doh So a very happy accident - I love those :whee:

    14. @elve, thank you! I made outfit for her, glad you like it))

    15. I haven't posted here in a while! My Ada and Larry both arrived safe and sound!! I'm madly in love with both of them. I've already given Hugo (my Larry) a faceup, wig, and eyes, which I'm happy with for now. I don't have a Flickr yet but there's photos of him on my Instagram (waxandsulfur) If anyone is interested! My Ada doesn't have a name or anything yet.. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with her.. But we shall see!

    16. I just bought a Clara second hand, so I shouldn't have to wait too long for her. Does anyone have her? I'm sure she's going to be hard to dress too?

    17. After a few years away from the BJD scene I've been tempted back by Doll Chateau's scuplts! Here's my DC 'Zora' now named Penny Dreadful! Haven't got her wig yet or clothing but still enjoying taking the odd photo.
      Faceup by myself.

    18. ah she is pretty and welcome back :)

    19. She's so lovely and melancholy looking in that pose. It's a truly wonderful face-up! I just adore what people do with their Doll Chateau sculpts...the uniqueness of the sculpts really brings out peoples' originality in the characters and face-ups.:)

    20. Such unique dolls! I enjoy all of the creativity!

My Fiona should come this month, after all this is month 5 of my wait....please come soon, please!
