Not planning on grabbing her, but I am also happy to see a rerelease! If ever they did rerelease Christina, I’d jump on it as well.

 

Has anyone ordered Gladys through Alice's recently? She's not in the DC catalog but she's still sold on their own site and other dealers.

 

Hello, could anyone who's more informed tell me if there's a chance that the Y-body-03 might get discontinued without notice? I have seen that Gladys disappeared from catalogs without an announcement recently, and the last doll I've seen that defaulted on that body to my knowledge is Evangeline, who is rather old.

I am planning a hybrid but I'd rather buy the body early next year. I'd like to know if there are precedents.

Their website has been down for a few days it seems. I did a quick Google search and found a reddit page discussing a possible re-merging with Dollzone and/or DC shutting down. I don't know if ANY of this is true or just rumor to get people to panic.

Again, I do not know if any of this is true. I am just telling you what I have read.

 

@Anshishoku Thanks for the info! Wow... (I've found the posts) I would say this is all just rumors and assumptions, unless anything official is quoted, but still, it's not good to be in the dark. On the other hand the DC waiting room has been pretty quiet for a while.
I'll report in case I hear anything new, maybe there is more info on Weibo.

 

Maybe ask Alice's Collections. I asked about Doll Legend before they vanished and they answered my questions on whether or not they were disbanding the company and they also told me a bonus fact: Doll Legend is/was a sister company to DF-H!

So yea, ask ACBJD or even Denver Doll. They may know the inside scoop.

And...as a fan of DC...I would like to know the answer.

 

I did send them a mail earlier about the body, so the answer will probably clear up if anything bigger is happening. I doubt it because dealers would've taken down their catalog, and there would have been an official announcement somewhere.
I assume it's rumors. There are many companies whose sites are... less than functional and only operate through dealers.

Hey everyone! Just a random question :3 I have a feeple60 shushu head and was thinking about hybriding it with a dc youth body, thoughts? Have you tried it or could compare the proportions? The neck mechanism isnt a problem. Is it possible? Or is there something that strongly advizes against it? Thanks a lot

 

@JJ3_dolls from what I gathered by looking around for hybrids, it seems like Fairyland heads might be too big for DC Youth depending on the sculpt. There's a thread here and here and although most images are broken you can still gather some info. Check the head size. You probably want a smaller head for DC Youth bodies since they're geared for ~20cm heads. On the Y-Body-03 you can probably get some wiggle room for size by removing the extra neck joint.

There are a couple very helpful pictures here with a Little Monica head and a Souldoll head. As you can see the neck joint has been removed.
