    1. @elve Thanks :) Purple eyes are great aren't they? <3 I can't wait to see your girl.

    2. Ive never looked into Doll Family before but I saw their new doll announcement in the news thread and :love:love :lovehe's so gorgeous!

I haven't really considered SD's before but the doll family boys are so beautiful. They're just a liiiittle out of my price range but if they have a sale I'll be very tempted to get my own

    3. Finally got one of my Anthony heads painted - really must get a finer paintbrush because 00 is still too heavy! And today the body came (60cm mirodoll), and Yukino was officially born! :dance I think this head is a little too small for a 60cm doll, but it'll do OK - Now I need some clothes for her as this is all I had going! Dollzone wig - I'm still waiting for some anime style eyes from mimiwoo, but these 20mm plastic eyes aren't too bad for now :chibi

    4. I think it looks fine!

    5. @elve great job on the faceup :) she looks like she's very sweet

I know what you mean about the head size, I feel like it's on the smaller side, at least for the anime aesthetic. But I'm not a fan of how big it is on the 1/4 bodies. I've been looking at smaller sized sd bodies, or small shouldered/thin scupts

    6. thanks :whee: yes I'm in 2 minds over the size - it's not bad, but it's not perfect. I wonder if actually it's the right size for Doll Family-A's chunky BB doll body? Would make a cute chibi :chibi

    7. I was wondering the same thing. But I *think* they should be compatible, it says Lang Ya's head girth is 23 cm, whereas the 65cm Chang Sheng for example is 22.5cm head girth. That kind of difference seems pretty marginal to me.

    8. what a difference a wig makes! (plus I scraped off the lower 'caterpillar' lashes) I am now officially in love with this doll :whee:

    9. @ Elve I like the wig! It makes her look very elegant. I'm super jelous of your girl's blush. I wish mine had come out half that symmetrical haha

I think I'm going to stick with green eyes, at least for a while. Its funny, I feel like she is picking out her look herself; everything is coming together so organically

I was looking at the resinsoul (bobobie) body for these heads. It looks like the 1/3 girl body has shoulders only 8cm wide? It's tempting to try. But on the other hand I really do like the sculpting on the body I have, so idk

    10. Thanks :D Allouetta is certainly a cutie and knows it :whee: I love her eyes! Still waiting for my purple ones to come from mimiwoo - not sure if I'll like them when they come - They were for Kiyoko twin sister, but I can't afford a body for her now, so they may have to share this one! I did my blush with paint, and it was pretty much a disaster which I worked on and worked on until it looked OK - I had no choice since I don't seal my dolls, and red paint stains in about 2 seconds flat

    11. Yay! I finally found where the Anthony heads can be discussed! Duh, took me long enough!

My head has a pair of eyes, that is a start, slow but steady. Mine will be a guy, but I don't know the character yet.
I do have body picked out (Obitsu 55cm boy). The body is vinyl, but attaching a resin head is easy and he will be much lighter and easy to pose.

    12. oh that sounds like a good idea! How do you attach resin to vinyl?

Meanwhile the anime eyes finally arrived in the post today - yay! I didn't like them at first but I'm getting used to them now. Still not happy with that long tall body for a cute anime girl, it's just not right but I've not seen anything better which I can afford anyway - I'm hoping clothing will disguise it OK.
In the absence of funds or a suitable body, I've abandoned the idea of making Yukino's twin Kiyoko for now - poor little blank, eyeless head will languish in a box instead :pout: Which means that Yukino's nabbed Kiyoko's fairy kei wig - now she needs some clothes to go with it! You can see how messy her blush is with this wig on :whee:

    13. Oh @elve i love the eyes and wig! She is so pretty! I understand bodies having to look right style wise. It's hard. :sigh

I got another pair of anime eyes and a black wig to try with my head. I think they will look better than the olive green eyes and the wig that you can see the wig cap underneath. Pictures can be so misleading! I have a whole box of 'oops, that's not right' dolly stuff, sigh. I think I might be able to get the body sooner than I thought. Christmas money!

Putting on a resin head to a vinyl doll just takes some drilling in the neck piece so you can attach elastic and a S hook. Not too difficult if you have the right supplies...

    14. Thank you :D yes it is such a pretty sculpt - I love the blank head too, hopefully will do something with it one day! I'm looking forward to seeing your version of it - sounds very interesting

    15. @kurogane
Sounds cool! I can't wait to see your boy. :)

@elve I like the eyes :) Anime style eyes do take a bit of getting used to don't they? XD

I wish there were more affordable resin options in the 47-50cm range. I love the chubby look of the 47 obitsu, but I'm planning on dying my girl so I'm limited to resin

      Edit: 1/6/2017

My girl needs to be hot glue sueded...but she has so much character as it xD I was setting her to stand up straight, and she crumpled and ended up like this. Ironically she is sturdy as a rock in this pose lol

    16. Hi everyone! Nice to meet you all!

I was looking around but I haven't seen anyone else posting pictures of this doll. I got a Doll Family-A Chu Jing head as a little extra with a secondhand body I recently purchased, so I thought I would share~ (Chu Jing is a boy sculpt but mine is a girl).

This is what the default faceup looks like (featuring my Little Monica Little Kliff in the back :whee:)

And this is the faceup I gave her~

      Thanks for looking :chibi

    17. She's very cute! I like how you did her faceuped, it really gives her a cool feminine look

    18. Thank you! She looks very feminine indeed. I really like her! Even with her default faceup she looked adorable (but it was a bit too pale for my taste).

I wanted to share because sometimes people don't get certain dolls because they can't find pictures of them :)

    19. Hello, I love the Doll Family Company. I own a Doll Family H Lyndon, he was my first doll and my favorite. I absolutely love him to death. He has a 3 part torso and I enjoy the possibility he has with that body. I've been considering getting him the jointed hands the company has. Does anyone have them and do they pose good as well? I've never owned any kind of jointed hands before for my dolls.
