1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Family H Discussion

Apr 7, 2010

    1. @Rabbit-moon A bit late but I was able to take pictures of my Switch heads, Waseon, Huisa, and Milhwa on the DF-H body. Here's a link to the album I created on flickr, Switch Heads & DFH Body in Rosy White.

Huisa and Milhwa are a 99% match to the body, while Waseon's head is more beige compared to the body. All three heads are technically rosy white bought direct from Switch.

As for range of motion I feel Huisa has slightly better range. Unfortunately, both Huisa, and Milhwa have been discontinued by Switch.

    3. Wow! Thanks Cloudedmind! The heads look great on that body! And the resin match looks excellent! :thumbup

I am a fan of this body, and own two myself. I think it's a very good quality body and reasonably priced. Definitely a viable option for floating heads.

Thanks again for the photos! :daisy

    4. Does anyone know which of the resin colours DF-H offers that would match LUTS? I have a Delf but I really love the body that DF-H has :sweat

    5. @St. Reinhardt Well shoot, you missed their sale where they did "normal" color matching for free plus 15% off! I don't know how often they have such an event but I did order just before it ended. I'm hoping my paint chip gets to Alice's Collections soon, I sent it regular mail. Might have to buckle in and send it priority, but that's like $15 for a piece of paper! Ugh!

    6. I did order a Hong Zhao during the sale, but yesterday I was looking at my LUTS Delf and thought, well I really need to change out his body :XD:

ACBJD always has sales though, so I'm not worried that I would lose out haha

    7. I can finally share pics of this guy here, now that he's all painted up and has a body of his own. :D He's a Takumi Kazama with permanent mods over his closed right eye. I almost always keep his hair brushed over that side because that part could trigger the heebie-jeebies if viewed in full (intentionally conceptualized that way).

    8. @AntarelNefertili, He looks awesome! :love

But, now you have me curious! What do his mods look like? :aeyepop:

    9. @Rabbit-moon

I'll try to explain it here since I have yet to post pics of the painted mod in its entirety anywhere online. Here's how he looks without faceup. Now imagine that section with brown apoxie to have dark brown stripes and a spattering of white spots. Depending on the viewer, it would evoke either interlocking tree roots or earthworms, hence the hair curtain. :sweat

    10. Wow! Looks intense...but totally cool! I like creative and unique mods and tattoos on dolls. This hobby is wonderful in the way it brings out that kind of artistic creativity. :thumbup

Thanks for sharing! He's gorgeous and spooky at the same time!

    11. I got my DFH boys in a few days ago and was finally able to do a shoot! I'm so excited to have them since they're characters I've had for about 10 years now. These are my first attempts at collage pictures for them and I really like how they turned out. The white haired one is Taras (DFH Su Sha) and the other is his guardian, Erasure (DFH Scylla).

    16. Hi! Popping in here to ask a few questions. I put this in the Dollfamily mini thread but I think this thread is more active. I found a head by sheer accident that may be perfect for one of my characters! (Yue Jian!)

What is the difference between imported and non imported resin options? I presume imported is higher quality?

Anyone had any luck hybriding a head onto a minifee male body or a model delf? Specifically interested in Normal and tan comparisons! I know someone mentioned they do a resin match service, but I’m not sure how you’re supposed to request that?

    17. @bliss5 , What they call "Imported Resin" is the slightly transparent resin that kind of allows light to bounce differently. Some people find it to be realistic and love it, but it can be much harder to match than regular urethane resin. I like both, but usually go for urethane because it's cheaper, it's less likely to yellow and it doesn't make that much of a difference in photos to me.

    18. Ahhhh I see! Thank you for this answer! I guess I’d go with non imported if I want to hybrid!

Has anyone collected a Dollfamily resin colour chart anywhere? I’m having trouble finding one!
