I love the aesthetics if DFH bodies. Especially the newer ones. All the fine sculpted details.

On another hand, my biggest turn off is how their torso joints work.

What is this!? This should be a torso, not shelf!

Hope the newest body will have a better joint.

Haven't played with my boy beyond a couple of very simple poses for photos. So I can't weigh in with my review beyond the fact that "Janus" is pretty.

more body pics. I'm safe! It looks nothing like I was hoping it would based on the description. When will someone make a slim body that's well engineered and not over 70cm? Pleeeeease T_T

I think this is the Mori9 collab head. I can't tell if I don't like it or if I just really don't care for the faceup.

Nevermind, I found it myself. It is weird, how I can see some posts only through weibo search, but not directly on their weibo.

EDIT 2 by the looks of it, the body is sculpted by Mori9 too.

 

It doesn't look like this reveal is going over to well, so many people complaining about the arms. They are pretty prominent for such a slender looking body. I'll wait until I see the body fully nude before deciding if it'll work for any of my heads.

 

Yeah, the arms are a huge (literally) disappointment IMO It also doesn't help that they haven't shown basic nude photos of the body, so all we have to go off of are artistic shots that aren't very helpful for determining features. The comments seemed kinda mean though, but the this image left in the comments did make me laugh since it's spot on. I do want to see the head unpainted, I don't think it or the body are going to work for what I'd hoped I could use them for, but I'm grateful that there's another possibility for a hopefully more accessible Mori9 head even if this one might not be to my liking.

@Swampruler Weibo works in mysterious ways T_T I had to dig through their gallery to find it, and pray that Weibo would let me see the images since I'm not logged in, because Weibo refuses to generate my 2FA code to log me in anymore.

The heads they choose to model on this body... yeah it does make you go

Quite an unfortunate decision.

The only things what are visible are tonned arms, and slim calves oh and not proportioned baby faces.

 

Yeah, I saw that picture and also had a good laugh.

Because I wasn't signed in I couldn't see all of the comments, but if the rest mirrored what I did see I wonder if DF-H would redo the upper arms. No point in putting out a body that so many people are lukewarm on at best.

I remember seeing those progress shots, but I wonder if it's the same body. It seems thicker over all. But could be since we've only been shown bits and pieces of everything so far.

I also found it odd that they showcased other companies heads on the body. Maybe because DF-H's bodies often get used for hybrids?

 

@Cloudedmind I was happy to see other companies' heads! I certainly want one of their bodies for hybriding, so it's nice that they know that's what a lot of us are doing with their bodies. In particular I'm looking for something with the build of their slim 72cm body, just shorter, so hopefully if I wait long enough someone will come out with one. DF-H is ideal though since they offer color matching and in general their engineering is pretty decent.

The body progress on Mori9's Instagram looks quite nice, if that's what the body actually is? It's still more muscular than I was hoping for based on the description, but it doesn't look as off as the one that was displayed? I do hope they revise the arms though.

Anyone have Ghost General Beilan?

I really want to order him, but I have no idea yet when I can order him as I just ordered Telesthesia & Dragon - Rong You, the guy who summoned Beilan from the other side.

I have a bit problem though deciding what resin color to go for. I'm stuck between gray or tanned. If I go for tanned I would make him a Black Wolf General instead. I would really love to have a Wolf General, but the gray skin does make him look much older which is what I like about the gray skin.

It's such a difficult choice, so if anybody have any Beilan pictures maybe it could help me with my decission. Beilan in any resin color is fine

Same I really like how this new head looks so far! And I like Mori9's design on their IG for the body too.

 

I'm actually not a big fan of the head but maybe want the body. I love it's back sculpting and the legs. I've found I'm a bit picky with whether or not the back is a pretty sculpt or not. LOL
Definitely will look into it more in the future as long as it isn't limited.

 

Been a while since I posted here (partly because the only doll I have that's on-topic in this thread isn't so high on my clothes-making priority list). But here he is, my DF-H Takumi Kazama hybrid with an outfit that is not hand-me-down from my other dolls. I normally hide his permanent eye mod behind a curtain of hair, but I made an exception for this photoshoot.

The body is out! It looks a lot nicer than in the initial photos, and I'm happy to see a 3-piece torso. The whole doll in tan is really cute and the posing looks really nice even with the two-piece torso! Now I get to weigh it against the Vings 68 body which was my other body contender.
It's discounted until December 25th, and it looks like it's about the same price/technically cheaper to just buy the whole doll.

the new body is gorgeous i love the body lines on the two piece torso and the heel legs are to die for, i'm also absolutely IN LOVE with the new head and am seriously considering it for a character, it's bigger then i wanted for the chara which i can live with but i have already brought some SD clothes and i don't think they'd fit
