Aww, he's so cute Just guessing he's a demon kind of character?

I think he looks great on that body though Sometimes I imagine ancient kinds of charakters that appears very young, but are actually very old if you compare to human age.

And I guess it's easier to dress him too, how you want him when he's smaller

 

Hahha, thank you! Yes, he's a demon-faerie-type character along with my other doll, Vale. And yes, it does make it a bit easier because he can wear normal 1/3 clothing! I adore this body -- it's very easy to pose and very solid, very smooth and nice resin, and a really pretty sculpt!

I took the opportunity to add a t-shirt to my card, and I just have a wait few months before my boy-head got his bodyyyy !

The headcap I sent to DF-H for matching arrived a few days ago! The production time for Deer/68cm 2.0 bodies was supposed to be around 3 months for orders placed during the preorder window, so hopefully it'll still only be 3 months and that my 3 month wait starts right after CNY is over

 

Did you guys managed to hybrid their grey color? I know they can offer resi match but before considering that I wanted to know if their grey was similar to some other company's grey.

 

I got a doll on gray hoping I could use it with a light gray floating head. But it is quite a dark grey.

 

Hi! I have the 63 cm girl body for soon a year now and am absolutely in love wiht her sturdy posing, but what surprised me is how pink the NS pink is. The head I have from another company does not really match it. I've been trying to search for resin match images for their yellow NS online, but most pictures I found don't unfortunately tell me much because I do not have dolls from those companies the resin is being compared against. I can only tell it is apparently not darker than the pink but is yellower in tone.

Would anyone here happen to have DFH yellow and something in a bit older Iplehouse non-glow NS (I'd say from around 2015 to 2018) that hasn't yellowed a lot? My head is from Fantasiadoll's 2017 line (not to be confused with Fantasy doll), and she is pretty exact match with Iplehouse NS from those years. 2019 onward resin is too pink.

If the yellow NS does not work out for me, I was also considering requesting if DFH could custom-make me a doll in older Iple NS, but the problem is that while I do have parts I could send them, the shipping fee for one doll hand or foot to china would be 60 to 70 USD and that breaks my budget. I heard they may have parts from popular companies so I have asked DFH if they happen to already have a part to use for the matching.

 

You can take a doll part to your local paint shop and get a matching paint chip to send.

 

Yeah, I’d definitely check your local hardware/paint store or even (seems like you’re in the US) home depot, walmart or lowes and get one of those paint chips. I had someone at Ace hardware that helped me exactly match something too once, and gave me a little bit of the paint on a card. It’ll be much cheaper to mail that!

Otherwise i do have a pair of jointed hands in NY from 2021 that have been tucked away since I got them, but nothing from Iplehouse

 

Oh thanks! I never even came to think of the paint chip idea. So, if there is no Iplehouse NS or any alike shade in their selection, then that's what I'll ask about doing, letters only cost a few dollars even if they take forever to arrive. Also, I'm Finnish but I hear that USPS prices can be quite something, too.

 

@vauhtikatti I have some DF-H hands in normal yellow on order, as well as an Iplehouse doll in NS, but of course neither is in hand yet and the Iple NS will not be from the time period you are looking for... But if it would be any help, and if you are feeling rather patient, I would be glad to help with color comparisons once I receive everything

At any rate, I hope you can find a solution that works well for you!! Trying to figure out resin matches is a stressful game... I have gotten absurdly lucky with matches I didn't research very much and unlucky with matches that I researched extensively, so at this point I have mostly given up on all my hybrids having matching parts

 

@Gamine thanks, that would be useful if I don't get any pics by then. I have brand new Iple NS too so I can compare by that, it won't show the direct match but will provide some insight into how different is the yellow tone from my head. Until then, my DFH lady is my beautiful sewing mannequin.

If I could just resin match the head to be a tad lighter and pinker, this wouldn't be such an issue haha. But I really like the faceup she has.

 

Have you tried using Pirateship to purchase postage? That should cut down on shipping fees a LOT, even if it's just to mail a paint chip. I UPSed a headcap to DF-H for about $40 a few weeks ago. It's a lot, but it's way cheaper in the long run than ending up with the wrong body color ;;

 

@Astro I'm afraid that seems to be an US only thing, or at least I did not find any mention about Finland there. USPS doesn't work here, logically, and UPS does not seemingly ship to China here (apart from Hong Kong).

 

Oh dear, my mistake! I thought I read earlier that you were from the US, but I misread that it was someone else asking if you were in the US. I'm sorry!

 

@Astro apologies, i assumed they were in the US because of the mention of USD, so I gave US specific stores

 

It's my fault for not checking profiles >w<. Anyway, Pirateship is a great option for those of us in the US! It's a shame there's not more regional offerings for those in other countries (and that in this case, UPS doesn't seem willing to ship directly to China from Finland . It was the same price for me to send my headcap to DF-H using USPS or UPS, so I tried them out and it only took a week to arrive. Definitely using them to send my next color match!)

 

Good news, I found someone whit a Fantasia doll head AND a DFH body with Luts Normal skin resin, and they match! They also told me that Luts NS is one of the colours DFH can make without a sample because they've apparently got one.
