It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Doll Family H Discussion

    1. Yup that works and thank you! Doesn't actually look bad as I feared I'll consider it for shelling my character ^ ^

    2. I've been debating ordering a Pukki, which would be my first dfh, but I'm unsure on skin colour/resin types. Ideally I'd love to find a blue Pukki with faceup, but I'm not thinking it's likely. Would anyone be able to answer a few inquiries.
-Is the grey similar enough to the blue?
-Are there any image examples of the two resin types?
-Is it worth trying to find the blue or should I aim for another colour?
      Thank you <3

    3. @Alice_Morte hi i saw your question on my post, my chad is in white resin but i honestly have no clue what kind of resin doll family uses so unfortunately can't answer that for you

    4. I have a He Lan head in normal yellow skin, but made a mistake of ordering her with default face-up and missed the note that the one on the official website is just a one-off :doh. I plan to send her head for face-up commission to make it suit her character more.

    5. I ordered my DF-H 65cm body (3 part torso) back in March and it just arrived a couple days ago. I will post pics of it later next week with the DIM head I got it for. First impression I didn’t think it would be good, but now I’m warming up to it- I like that it’s not super tall. It’s extremely kicky though and I’ve pinched my fingers a couple times with the torso piece slips out of place. Would hot glue sueding the torso piece and leg joints help?

    6. I also received the same 65cm boy body recently. I found my boy somewhat floppy and kicky right out of the box -- he easily fell out of a pose. But I tightened all his elastic (I string my dolls quite tightly anyway) and put kips into his hips, shoulders, and ankles, and he's been much more stable. The kips are giving enough friction in the joints so that helps him hold poses reliably, but I might end up removing them and properly sueding those joints with pleather (which I prefer over hot glue-only sueding).

His upper torso does occasionally slip out of place, which is annoying, but tightening the elastic seems to have helped. I don't plan to suede the torso, but we shall see!

I liked this body the moment I unboxed it. It feels very well-engineered, but needs some getting used to. I've been able to get my boy (Kanadoll Mars) to do some wonderful things so far.

    7. Thank you for the tip :D i will try tightening the string before sueding. And wow that is a fantastic pose :XD: I have underestimated the potential :chibi What resin color did you get for your Kanadoll boy? It looks like a very good match.

    8. Thanks, and you're welcome! I pose my dolls a lot and demand a great deal from their bodies, that's why I did a lot of maintenance on this DFH body right out of the box to get it up to my standards. ;) I think tightening elastic should be enough to solve most issues.

I asked DFH to colour match my doll to Kanadoll normal - they agreed to do it, no extra cost. You can ask DFH (ask your dealer to pass the message) if they can colour match to a different company resin -- if they have the resin colour in their library, they should say Yes. But they won't if they don't have the reference colour already. Always worth asking them.

The body turned out very close to my boy's head -- all the yellow undertones are there. There's a bit of pinkish tone to the resin so it's not 100% perfect, but I think this will mellow out over time and the body will end up matching his head (which is 6 years old and a bit yellowed anyway).

    9. Hi Would like to ask help, if anyone here currently owned an DFH normal yellow skin?

    10. I do! It's the male 68 V2 body, and some hands (jointed). I also have their WS if you need a comparison?

    11. Sorry to butt in, but I have a question of my own... may I know the wrist circumference of your 68cm boy?

I want to get some option hands for my 65cm boy, but DF-H doesn't have any specifically for his size... the 68cm boy has plenty though, so I was wondering how close are their wrist circumferences. Thank you!

Edited to update... Someone else helped me out with measurements. Turns out that 68 boy has wrist circumference of 5.5cm, but my shorter 65 boy has wrist 6.5cm. 1cm difference is pretty big! Not sure if 65 can wear 68's option hands... I might ask DF-H themselves to see what they recommend.

    12. I did a hybrid thread here if anyone interested in seeing DF-H/DIM hybrid with a Luts hybrid :chibi

I have another question but for those who have DF-H in white resin- when my body came, it had white resin paws attached to the hands instead of normal hands (probably so hands would not damage during shipping). Is the white resin for those paws DF-Hs normal white resin (like are all DF-H white this color/ formula) or do they have a different white? Click the link in my post if you want to see the paws.

I have other dolls that match that white resin- I’d order more bodies if I know for certain that is the color of their whites.

    13. I think those are just dressing hands to easily go through tight sleeves. I doubt that they worry about them being the same color resin as the doll.

    14. Aww that’s a bummer.

    15. I don't see why DF-H would go out of their way to use a different white resin color then their own just for the paws. So, it's likely that the paws are the same white resin color they use for their bodies and heads.

    16. Sorry!! But yeah, my 68 has a 5.5cm. It’s interesting that 65 is larger- i do know that the jointed hands just labeled “1/3 Male” (at least they were when i bought them maybe a year and a half ago) fit both the 62cm boy and the 68cm v2 boy bodies perfectly. It stands to reason they’d fit the 65 as well then, but i guess the 68 option hands are more custom fitted in some way????

    17. @krystina: The white paws are the same colour as their white resin. I ordered a doll in white resin and he came with cat paws. The colour was a perfect match.

    18. Awesome! Thank you @Zacarias

    19. How curious! My DFH 65cm body arrived with his default hands and no paws/dressing paddles, not even separately. And I ordered my doll around the same time as you did - about a month before you, I think. I did request a custom colour-matched resin, though.

From DFH's product pages, the 62cm boy has a 6cm wrist. You might be right - maybe the jointed hands are made to universally fit all those 1/3 boys, but the 'static' option hands are sculpted for the specific bodies. (I've also noticed that the double joint design for 65 boy is completely unlike the double joints on the 62 and 68 boys. They must be made by different sculptors.)
I'll check with DFH to be sure.
