1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Furniture

Apr 2, 2005

    1. Yep, love furniture. Have enough that I am doing a ABJD corner with a total of 5 bedrooms and one living area. Yes, it's a BIG corner, 6 feet by 6 feet. A couch of proper size is the main piece missing, but eventually I will find or make one. There are some great tutorials here.
Even if the doll area is in the basement, I am grateful to have it.

    2. Beautiful chairs on sale at The Doll Market. Since the back is 18 inches high, I am hoping it will be suitable for both the SD and MSD sizes. Sale ends soon! I ordered mine today.

    3. I would love to give Freya her own room! :)
I'mactually planning on re-organizing the room to make a space.

I thought about getting a glass Cabinet that has enough room for a bed or a chair and small bits, so she can have a room and I can admire her through the glass. I would just have her on a big bookcase, or a stand but I have a very crazy kitten. And it was bad enough that I woke up to a doll eye in her food dish! LOL!

So for now, miss Freya lives in her box where she is safe from Kitties.

As for furniture, I do have one doll bench, and a chair I was gonna restore.
In the future I want to get a Victorian style sofa chair that I can use for photos. :)

    4. Letting dolls have their own living space seems like a great idea. I definitely want to get my first doll a bed or make her a bedroom. I think dolls have the right to be comfortable too!

    5. I'm hoping one day to set up a whole room for all my dolls. As of now poor Sayuri has nothing. I'm hoping to make something for my smaller ones. But even if I made a bed or table for Sayuri, there would be no space for it, so until I get my own house, she will be forced to stay on the shelf.

    6. I bought a chair that my fits my SD girl from Ross for $4. :thumbup

    7. When my doll comes in (still saving up), I want to get her some furniture. She's an MSD, though, so I think that might be hard. It would be pretty easy to get furniture and miniatures for the smaller dolls. I think it's so cute and I definitely want to. :)

    8. I'd love to have a nice glass case to display my dolls in that's furnished~ I'd love to have a big plot of fake grass with a tree stump for my fantasy guy to live in as well~ ^_____^

    9. I've bought a couple of pieces of furniture for my dolls, and I've made some really simple beds, but I don't really have a room for the stuff, although my LTF's bed and chair have their own little shelf. Someday, if I ever manage to amass all the really tiny tinies I want, I'd like to turn this three-tiered table I have into a sort of mansion.

    10. This evening, I need to go home, pile up allllll the BJD furniture I have (mostly SD, though a few Yo-SD for my Pipos) and take a picture of it all.

It wil lbe a big pile.

Currently the furniture is scattered throoughout my house, but I am hoping in the coming weeks to finally start getting a doll house together to better organize it all. I have a large room as my craft and guest room and I am looking to have the doll house in there. :)

I am a accesories addict. Take away my ebay privilages... please.

    11. Yes! Can relate to that with over 500 feedback for no sales. But the beautiful BJD's have benefited from the wonderful things we find. (And find, and find, and find...)

    12. I dont' have nearly that much, but that is mostly because the shipping from the USA, where all of the good stuff seems to be hoarded, to Canada is MURDER. So I have to be veeeery choosey on what I bid on/buy. It is very common that the shipping is at least twice what I paid for the furniture/accesory, but I'm thrifty enough that it is stil beyoooond worth it (and I can sell whatever I get for more then what I paid, if I ever had the gumption to. I probably never will).

    13. At the moment I am still working on finishing dolls, so most of my time is spent painting and making costumes and whatnot, but I do plan on building small sets for them in the future. I love seeing gallery threads with photographs that look very complete and real and I think that a bjd scale set is something that really takes that to the next level. Backgrounds, furniture, props... anything that you can think of. I've build sets and props for theatre so I think it will be very fun to try it for my dolls.

    14. I don't have any furniture, but I definately want some. I would like a chair/throne for my boy and someday.....if I ever get my IP Carina, I'd like to have a pretty sofa for her to lounge upon.

    15. I want my dolls to have simple furniture for photos and the like. I already made a sofa. But I keep running out of space to put it when it's not needed. ^^;

    16. I've got one chair that I bought for relatively cheap at Volks USA. I don't think I'd go out of my way to get Candie tons of furniture, but I thought have a chair that's to scale would be nice for some photos.

    17. I have a little dollie couch for my SD Boy, and I also have a chair for him!

    18. i've bought a bed so far and a closet for my doll, i want to create a room for her, but she is on a 1/3 scale, and it's very hard to find furniture items for her :(

    19. I have a perfectly sized wooden chair for my 70cm guys and a pretty plant stand that serves as a table. I would like some more doll furniture (a dresser, a desk, rugs, shelves, lamps and other props) for photostory purposes, but storing everything would be awful.

Still, every time I go into a Goodwill or a thrift shop, I have to take a peek and see if that special piece is just waiting for me...

    20. Meeee!!! Oooo me! I made a bed for my boy, and am planning on making my dolls a couch soon. I'd say depending on material and if it has pillows between $20-$30 for furniture, especially for the 1/3's.
