1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Furniture

Apr 2, 2005

    1. I like doll furniture, but I tend to make most of it (beds and closets).

    2. My collection of doll furniture is small so far, but I do have a couple things that are good for Yo-SD's and smaller. I got one of those cell phone chairs at Claire's for five dollars that's the perfect size for tinies, and I also have a doll sized couch that also functions as a trinket box, that's good for 12" dolls and smaller. My tinies will be sitting comfy, at least. XD

    3. I love dolly furniture with a passion and so I always loo around my room for things I could use for them. Currently I gave up all my jewellery boxes to be cupboard and last week I made them a bench out of an old bed-table-thingy. In fact, I made two benches, the other one is at my mates. It merrily sits on my window where it usually gets occupied by Mels, who is determined to sit on the wobbly back of the bench every time she comes to wisit.
I have brought stuff from charity shops for them, but never from a doll web site. I think furniture is a luxury not a necessity and I'm not prepared to spend that much money on it.

    4. I love doll furniture - unfortunately I currently don't have much space for it in this flat, so the only thing I've currently got is a 4poster bed for the spoilt nekomimi of the group!

    5. I'm planning to build some. As I don't want it to take up too much space I'll probably make folding chairs and a table with detachable legs for storage. Still in the planning stage though :)

    6. I'd love to have a place that's just for Nadeko but unfortunately that's impossible because of my cat and lack of room (I don't even have my own room)
but I do have some spare wood left over from an art class I took last year so I'm going to try and make her a chair (and maybe buy her a couch someday)

    7. I have a desk, a bureau, bookshelf, chairs, bed, fish-tank and various other doll furniture related items strewn throughout my room. They span from tiny sized to the 70cm range and are mostly thrift store finds that had to be fixed up a little; I really could never justify the prices online stores charge when you add in shipping costs:sweat. As a plus they also double as great storage containers.:aheartbea

    8. I made a doll bed, but I have also bought some furniture, like tables and chairs.

    9. I am looking at buying a vintage wardrobe at this moment. I think my doll needs furnitures as much as I do :)

    10. A tip for searching furnitures from ebay, etsy, etc: use the filters!

I have been looking for a 1/4 sofa for a while and noticed that you can get a whole lot more results if you
      1. don't spesify your location (some sellers have not marked your location as valid, but might still ship to you)
      2. use the sites categories/filter rather than writing "bjd" after your query. (and btw, you can exclude words from your search by typing "-dollhouse" e.g.)

Also, some pet beds are close to dollie sizes. They even have sofa's :D

    11. I make furniture for all my dolls. Currently I've made a couch and some chairs in 1/3 scale and a fainting couch in 1/4 scale. I'm planning on making beds next (futons in 1/3 scale, and loft-style bunks in 1/3).

I'd never purchase furniture except in person because I find the shipping costs too expensive. I also prefer my furniture to be multimedia (not just wood or just resin or just metal) and haven't seen much that suits my tastes. I'm also super-fussy about scale :sweat

    12. I would like to build a large closet for my doll's clothing because they have so much of it. Right now, I have a single chair in the corner of my room with a few tiny drawers for their jewelry and accessories. It would be nice to eventually create a small bedroom for them.

    13. I've been getting a little crazy buying book cases lately to put all my stuff on, so I have one of my walls that will have four of them and my desk. Desk in the middle and two shelves on each side.
I'm thinking of making the shelves around the top/middle into a 'living space'. I see the to-scale furniture around and I think it is amazingly cute. I can't make any, but I'd love to buy some.

    14. I'd love to have furniture for my dolls! I have some for my 1/6 scaled doll, but I just don't have enough space nor time to make one. :(

    15. I have some Re-Ment stuff for the Pukifee I do not have yet...I have my eye on a chair and table set, but I want to wait until she is here so I can size her up with it because I'm not one hundred percent sure if it will look okay or if one will swamp the other just yet.

    16. I keep a lookout at craft stores for wooden furniture and things that'll work for my dolls - benches, chests to keep things in, etc. I'd love to buy Poe a cello, as well.

    17. I don't have any furniture for my dolls ...but I do have stuff like tiny cups and plastic cakes and such for them <3 I might want to buy them a couple of chairs or such at some point tho..

    18. I'm currently plotting furniture and making diagrams so that i can build stuff as soon as the dolls come in. It seems like there's not much in the way of furniture that I like on the market, so building it is just less of a hassle than searching high and low. :)

    19. I have a chair and a bed for my MSD dolls but that's all. I like the idea of having a diorama for Lati Yellow and Pukifees though!

    20. Bluemoonjules: Where did you find the closet etc for your Pukifee room? So cute!
