It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Doll Furniture

Apr 2, 2005

1. I work at a JoAnn' s and the bench is about the right size for a MSD. There are also a ton of tiny garden things like benches and flower pots and that kind of stuff for puki sized dolls ^^. Oh and a wheelbarrow in scale to the bench too lol

2. Eventually I would love to get furniture, mainly a piano for my doctor. Right now though I need to concentrate more on just the dolls themselves :)

3. I'm definitely planning to have furniture for my dolls. Beds, chairs, tables, anything really. I think it'd add a whole new level of stuff I can feature in photos! I wouldn't mind buying doll furniture, though it's sort of difficult to find, but I have some skill at woodworking and my dad is a carpenter so I think together we can make plenty of our own.

4. I just bought a doll camper at Target to decorate as a house for one of my dolls. I've also bought random chairs and benches, some of which I've upholstered to make couches. Most recently at a flea market I got a perfectly scaled cabinet, I thought it was a salesman's sample but the guy said it was an antique child's desk, to make one of my dolls an apothecary/curiosity cabinet. You can find amazing things all over if you just keep your eyes open. I would kill for a SD sized piano, but I'm not counting on something like that.

5. That sounds like a lot of fun to see, Niahc!

6. Piyoko- haha, that camper! My whole family knows I am just in love with that camper... every time I'm in Target I find myself in the doll aisles stopping in front of it and saying 'My boys don't really need a camper...'

(A couple of them really do, actually... I've got dolls and yet-to-be-dollified characters who live in campers/vans in-story-- but until I have the space, they're out of luck.)

7. Does anyone know any companies that make beds suitable for Yo-Sd dolls? I've heard people say American Girl beds work, but they look too big...

8. I've been looking at beds and food for my dolls so they can go to bed and eat at the same time as me. ...Is that weird? I really enjoying playing with dolls like this, so I really love doll furniture too.

9. I love making doll furniture. I re-purpose found items into chairs and stools. I insist that each of my dolls has their own chair. I may post a tutorial on making armchairs and stools out of candle sconces. I usually only pay about 99 cents to 1.50 on my doll furniture. I'd rather pay in man hours than in cash. With a little ingenuity and a thrift store there's not much you can't do. I've thought about selling my work but haven't decided if there's really a market for it. Here's Pearl sitting pretty in an armchair I made for her. [IMG][/IMG]

10. I just got some Calico Critter furniture for my pukipuki and Dreamhigh Ello. They fit pretty good, though some pieces look sort of small next to the dolls. Most of it looks about right though and toys r us has Calico critters on sale buy one get one for 50% :-) usually pretty expensive but the furniture is incredibly detailed, but plastic and durable.

11. My partner and I have a Volks chair coming in the mail but it'd be nice to have a few more pieces like a desk or a wardrobe. My coworker told me of an antique store down the street from me that has some 1:12 scale furniture at the moment, so I think I'm gonna check it out and see if they have anything bigger too. :)

12. Do you keep doll furniture separately, or incorporate it into your household decor? Anyone?

13. For me I have a room box.

14. I saw this at my work, its a jewelry closet but i think itd work good for msd size
and it comes with the little hangers :3

15. I love everyone's furniture ideas in this thread!
I had been planning just to bit the fiannacial bullet and get various articles of furniture from Resin Etiquette because their stuff looks so amazing... but I'm feeling more then a little burned after waiting a year+ for a chair I pre-ordered with the understanding that it would only take a few months (that was last January, supposedly the chair was shipped this morning) It's just so hard to find things for 75cm dolls! Does anyone have any bed suggestions?

16. At the moment, Gabriel 'sleeps' in my bed. ;) :aangel: Since he and Élise are in the 70cm+ range, though, when Élise arrives I am getting them one of these and I'm going to make a mattress, pillows and bedding for it. You can get these at Target.

17. i think the price of the furniture made to dolls is so high!
some of them even are expensive than human use..

18. I love doll furniture!--So much in fact.... it's starting to eat my closet. -.- I've never bought "official" doll furniture from a company (waaaay too expensive) BUT I've found a lot of great stuff at Good Will (or other thrift stores) for a decent price. I've gotten benches and wicker chairs and even a gazebo for tinies with a swing that works! (And some cool old school desks.) I was sad when I passed on the one bed frame only to find it gone the next day. :/ I've also seen some really creative ideas for re-purposing things to use for dolls as furniture.

19. I want to find a 1/3 scale chair for my future big doll. But for my cheshire, I'm working on making him a cat bed and writing down the knitting pattern as I go.

20. I do arm-chairs and sofas for large dolls)))
