1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. Chaeri has graduated from the chair and bed that I had for her a couple of years ago. She now has a full-blown house (as I shared on another thread) with furnishings mostly made by me, although it does sport a cute wicker chair and table set I bought from Michaels years and years ago.

    3. I started off with Lati's a year ago and saw people with doll houses so thought it would be cool to decorate one for them. I found a three story doll house at Ross and painted it. Alas no furniture for it yet though I am planning to eventually have it fully furnished. Now I'm starting to collect bigger dolls SD and have been looking at furniture people use for theirs for ideas. I will probably get a few items as props for pictures.

    4. I am amassing quite a collection of doll-scale props and such, but recently discovered that fancy placemats make for awesome doll area rugs!

      The nicer, obviously handwoven ones probably look a lot more authentic, but the one in that picture was $3 at Cost Plus, so I'm pretty thrilled with how it looks for the price :)

    5. I have quite a lot of furniture for my gals , but as mine are tiny dolls it's fairly easy to find suitable sizes in thrift shops. :)

    6. Since there is virtually nothing out there for the big IH EIDs, I have two chairs currently in development by a woodcrafter in Ohio. Expensive as heck, yeah, but my dolls are totally from my own fantasy novels and even if I did find something modern or historical they could use, the furniture would not fit my universe.

    7. At first i thought 'i dont need a house for my dolls' but the longer i am part of this hobby, the more i start to think about actually creating one haha :)

    8. I love doll furniture and creating a room for my msd girl. I have collected a fair about of items.
      Honestly I don't buy them new from online shops or anything. All of my doll furniture I have thifted.
      I like the challenge of getting an imperfect item and having to fix it up. It's a great way to be creative, learn new things, and save money.
      The most expensive Item I paid for was her dresser ($20) everything else was $1-$9. Not too shabby. So I wouldn't know hat to advise on prices. ^^;

    9. I'm definitely thinking of buying some furniture and things for my doll when she arrives! :D

    10. I have some chairs from Goodwill that my dolls sit in. I have converted an old jewelry box into a dresser. I like to find things rather than order them from BJD sites because it's sort of an adventure, you know? I have made a bunk bed set out of plywood, and it's turned out really great. I'm lucky my girlfriend can sew. She makes amazing mattresses and we make blankets together.

    11. I just love my collapsable benches I got at Old Time Pottery, they were only five bucks a piece and they fold open to become benches. They were potted plant holders but my mom and I just made seat covers for them that come off. I got them both set up, they're perfect size for MSD's, especially if you got more then one. (Three MSD's can fit snugly on one but one of mine has one all to herself) we're hoping to find more furniture and chairs soon. Just depends. XD

    12. I actually found a vintage Victorian sette on eBay for like 30 bucks including shipping :) I was a great find and I did have to get front legs for it but I can fit 3 msd on it comfortably and since most of my dolls back stories deal with the Victorian era it works out great. I enjoy thrifting too, found an awesome candle pillar I use as an end table and a lot of other odds and ends :)

    13. My Sd Boys are also used for cats resting in hammocks stretched shape of the timber:-D

    14. It's my dream to have a spare bedroom done up as a doll house for my dolls, so furniture is a must. Trouble is my dolls are big and even the 18" tall stuff on the market is proportionately small for them. In the mean time, I make my own furniture, and learn as I go from the tutorials on line here and DeviantArt.

      One thing I do see a lot of that sort of makes me go "oh no, you're going to regret that...." Cardboard sofas, beds and chairs. After a while, they will collapse and all that gorgeous work will be gone. You need to roll up support pillars under seats, lengthwise along the grain so it supports the doll's weight. And in humid regions, a cloth and cardboard piece will eventually collapse.

      I wish the big doll companies would tell us where they get that gorgeous carved furniture they use in their doll photos.

    15. I got a lucky find today...Whilst I adore my benches...I adore this chair.

    16. Yes I'm definitely planning to give my boys some props !
      But I don't think I'll be able to buy them soon though, I mean they would be my first two dolls -and won't be arriving until July - so I'll have to save up again before actually getting more doll stuff ^^;;;;;

    17. I'm going to build two room boxes for my little girl. I've already designed it do it will be rectangles shape to fit the empty small corner in my bedroom. the bottom one will be on wheels to help move it out of the corner. the walls will not be fixed and will have a handle on the top so i will be able to lift them up and reverse them so I can create different scenes using one box. for furniture i plan on making my own bedroom furniture and when it comes to the livingroom my husband is going to Lebanon so i'll get him to commission someone there to make me a sofa and some other furniture.

    18. This chair is great work, awesome ....
