1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Furniture

Apr 2, 2005

    1. My two minis have chairs to sit on, but that's pretty much it. My big guys got nothing. I'm not really sure if I'll ever branch out for more furniture though anyway. While I LOVE the way it looks in full on sets for photos, I don't really have the space for it at all. Even after I move, I'm still hesitant because I don't want my BJDs to take over my home. I think I'd like them better all standing up (so that would require stands but I don't think that counts as furniture) in a cabinet of some sort.

    2. I have 3 chairs for my big dolls to sit. But now I want a classic sofa. It's not really easy to find one for over 70 cm dolls and some of them are expensive. :pout:

    3. No, I haven't bought anything for my BJD specifically. She fits OT doll furniture, which I have a ton of, and I just use some of it for her :)

    4. Oh, sure. They've got a couch, a diner table and chairs, another 'fancy' chair for solo shoots, a desk, a bed, lamps, end tables. I guess I have a thing for furniture!

    5. I bought and made some furniture a few years ago, but I just don't have the space. They had a couch and I made some chairs and my husband made a bed, but they're all packed away due to the space issue. Maybe one day I'll have a place where I can display them with their furniture.

    6. I have a space in my cabinet which I could probably use as a diorama for my dolls. I have yet to deck it out stylishly but I do have a few items which I've found from various novelty shops as well as the odd piece off ebay. Rugs, cushions, a bed side table and some little extra decorations so far.

    7. I love furniture especially with wood carved styles for my dolls...
But, it's so hard to find this kind of chair for SD~YOSD sizes in markets...

    8. Wow snarecrazi, you are seriously talented! Crafting your own furniture must be such a challenge, you have very lucky little dollies :XD:
I have never attempted to make/buy furniture for my dolls, but it's definitely something I will look into in the future :)

    9. Its more like i am good with scrap wood and pieces already shaped out, i dont have nearly enough time to make as much as i would like too or in great detail but i try when i have spare time to make minatures for me and my friends dolls

    10. I can't remember if I have posted on this thread before...but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and collect doll furniture. I have a perfect SD scaled dining room table and chair set (complete with flower vase centerpiece, food, dishes and silverware), a custom made oak armoire, scads of chairs, including a replica of one of Tutankamuns thrones, a gorgeous green brocade couch that opens out into a bed in SD scale, a glorious round table with a genuine marble top, an Amish built oak chest of drawers....what I really need now is a 70cm scale ancient Egyptian throne. I am either going to have to make that one myself or possibly commission it. Er, I am maybe sort of greedy when it comes to doll furniture. It is just SO COOL when it is exactly the right size!

    11. A furniture is easy to find for small dolls. I bought and made the home for my realpuki, but I can't to find something for 70+, especially if I want a particular style (((

    12. Hi milkycutie,

Where do you buy furniture for your doll? I have a 34.5cm doll that I would like to buy furniture for but don't really know where to start. Your help would greatly be appreciated!

    13. That was not addressed to me, but I thought I might answer it anyway. The answer is: everywhere! Measure your doll, figure out how high a chair , a table, etc. need to be for your doll, write the information down and stick it in your wallet. Carry a tape measure with you at all times, the little spool type are handiest. I have found wonderful pieces of doll furniture at the mall, at flea markets, yard sales, Goodwill, second hand stores, etsy, amazon, ebay, craft stores, IKEA, victorianwoodshop.com, charlieswoodshop.com
...etc... The trick is to always be looking. Constant vigilance! LOL! Oh, and mention to your friends and family that you are looking, it is amazing the things your friends will come up with. The best find ever, my cousin found me a green brocade couch that folds out into a bed, for $1.50 at a second hand store, it was probably meant for a tiny dog, but is exactly the right size for my doll.

    14. I already made a couch before my dolls will arrice ^^ ive already made a couch and shoes rack for my pullips. I found a gorgeous rack in a shop the should be really cute. I like the youtubr channel my froggystuff. She is doing so amazingly stuff .. anyone that likes crafting should watch it.. but beware. You can loose hours there ^^

    15. I have a couple of chairs I bought on Ebay - if you search for "chair plant stand" you'll find a variety of sizes, mostly wicker styles, and some are even big enough for SD though mine are all MSD. I also have a wooden rocking chair which was meant for a bear, so you could try that search too. I've made miniature furniture in the past so making a sofa shouldn't be too challenging, its just a matter of deciding what to use as a base. Cardboard isn't really strong enough.

    16. I bought a cute small cabinet on an antique market, just the right size for my 70cm doll.
      I'll post a picture!

    17. I made myself a couch of thick fabric, foam rubber and toys.

    19. Umm my dolls have furniture.
Lets see michael's actually has some doll sized wood furniture and i've gotten a dresser from there
Some american girl furniture works out well and also some jewelry organizing furniture also work well
